Moonfire once, and on to chain-casting starfire. Excellent, excellent glyph for a raiding Moonkin.
Combine this with a
Glyph of Moonfire
and it becomes probably the most mana efficient spell in the game.
does this add extra damage over those 3 seconds or does it just stretch out the base damage to where u do the same amount just over a longer time?
Currently on beta (3.0.3 9095) this no longer keeps moonfire up forever it. It will increase the duration of moonfire by 3 seconds 3 times to a maximum of 9 seconds.
This is just my humble opinion, but every moonkin should have this. Every one!
This isn't a must have glyph, and it isn't the best moonkin glyph in the game, but this glyph has a lot of practicality!
You will barely ever have to cast moonfire with this up.. and if you stack glyph of moonfire with this one, well, it just gets better!

Basically this means that previously you could single cast Moonfire at the beginning of your rotation, then just spam Starfire to keep it up. Now you need to refresh Moonfire approximately every 7-8 Starfires.
Makes the rotation more interesting, but overall a decrease in DPS, counting in the GCDs.
I was confused alot about this until I tested it out on some mobs. When you have a Moonfire on your target and hit them with a Starfire, it increases its duration by three seconds, but also makes the Moonfire a NEW dot. So if you had lets say 6 secs of Moonfire, the glyph wouldn't add on to the existing Moonfire but instead create a new Moonfire dot that is 9 secs long.
I'm actually having the problem atm, where starfire does
time to my moonfire ticks. Is it a bug? Anyone else with this problem?

. So far on Target dummies it seems to work about 50% of the time...
work with Sunfire. It works the exact same way; cast a Starfire while Sunfire is active, and it increases the duration by 3 seconds, up to a total of 9 seconds.
In the MoP beta, Glyph of Starfire" becomes "Glyph of The Moonbeast". Following the MoP trend, the glyph is no longer a DPS throughput glyph. This glyph now allows Moonkin to cast heals in form and save the GCD to recast Moonkin form. This follows the trend of the new Druid Talent tree, having Balance and Resto being able to swap roles easier in a pinch.
In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.
OLD: Glyph of Starfire - Your Starfire ability increases the duration of your Moonfire effect on the target by 3 sec, up to a maximum of 9 additional seconds. Only functions on the target with your most recently applied Moonfire.
NEW: Glyph of The Moonbeast - You can now cast Healing Touch, Rejuvenation, Rebirth, and Tranquility without cancelling Moonkin Form.
This is now a very strong glyph for Moonkin PvP and leveling.
I think also Wrath should increase the duration of Sunfire by 3 seconds for total 9 seconds.

one masshill ability Tranquility
Very-very good boost for moonkins!
It's official. Ghostcrawler just shelved his frost mage and his main is a moonkin now.
is there anything more useful than this? since it already only hits anything that is in combat with you I don't really see the point of it when I'm casting moon/sun fire on all targets, I don't see any benefit, really :|

Glyph of Barkskin
Reduces the chance you'll be critically hit by 25% while Barkskin is active.
Glyph of Blooming
Increases the bloom heal of your Lifebloom when it expires by 50%, but its duration is reduced by 5 sec and your Healing Touch, Nourish, and Regrowth abilities no longer refresh the duration.
Glyph of Celestial Alignment
Celestial Alignment now lasts 60 sec, or until 8 spells have been cast with it active, whichever occurs first.
Glyph of Cyclone
Increases the range of your Cyclone spell by 5 yards.
Glyph of Enchanted Bark
For 5 sec after activating Barkskin, you are immune to Silence and Interrupt effects.
Glyph of Grace
You take reduced falling damage even while not in Cat Form.
Glyph of Hurricane
Your Hurricane and Astral Storm abilities now also slow the movement speed of their victims by 50%.
Glyph of Imbued Bark
While Barkskin is active, when you are interrupted the resulting school lock has 50% reduced duration.
Glyph of Maim
Increases the damage done by Maim by 100%.
Glyph of Moonwarding
Moonkin Form no longer grants bonus armor, but instead grants 10% increased maximum health.
Glyph of Nature's Cure
Nature's Cure now has a maximum of 2 charges, but its cooldown is increased by 4 sec.
Glyph of Ninth Life
Reduces all damage taken while in Cat Form by 10%.
Glyph of Rake
Increases the range of your Rake by 8 yards while Prowl is active.
Glyph of Regrowth
Increases the critical strike chance of your Regrowth by 40%, but removes the periodic component of the spell.
Glyph of Skull Bash
Increases the duration of your Skull Bash interrupt by 2 sec, but increases the cooldown by 5 sec.
Glyph of Stampeding Roar
Increases the radius of Stampeding Roar by 30 yards and you can now cast Stampeding Roar without being in Bear Form or Cat Form.
Glyph of Survival Instincts
Reduces the cooldown of Survival Instincts by 40 sec, but reduces its duration by 50%.
Glyph of the Moonbeast
You can now cast Healing Touch, Rejuvenation, Rebirth, and Tranquility without cancelling Moonkin Form.
Glyph of the Shapemender
Each time you activate a shapeshift form, you are healed for 5% of your maximum health.
This effect cannot occur more often than once every 5 sec.
Glyph of Wild Growth
Wild Growth can affect 1 additional target, but its cooldown is increased by 2 sec.
