Decent? This is the best resto glyph so far. Well, at least tied with
Glyph of Swiftmend
Really, this is the best glyph you can get. When I ding 80, i'll have this, Glyph of Swiftmend, and Glyph of Lifebloom.
too bad they nerf downranking, else you could toss a rank 1 regrowth while there's normal damage, and then pop the target to full when there's a lot of incoming damage.
Does this mean that the BURST healing from regrowth is increased 20% or the burst and the hot?
My restoration glyphs would be..
Regrowth, lifebloom, swiftmend.
All of these happen to use ink of the sea... *sigh*
Two more weeks..
Edit: This comment stopped being being up to date a long time ago. I made this comment because these glyphs could not be made without ink of the sea, and this was two weeks before Cataclysm. Why this has received so many downvotes is beyond me.
Let me elaborate. Before WotLK, this was during the end of TBC when inscription first surfaced. The pre-WotLK patch with all of the content everyone would recieve. Everyone had their best glyphs. Many players had to go without their best glyphs because they required ink of the sea, which would not be obtainable until WotLK. All 3 of restoration's best glyphs required ink of the sea.
Do you understand now why I made this comment?

Confirmed, this glyph is learned through NIR.
Regrowth spam is still miles ahead of nourish for HPS, even if you have 4 piece T7. It costs a little bit more mana, but if you're gearing properly for regen, it really shouldn't be an issue. I have yet to encounter any fight where I am even close to going oom. This makes 'efficiency' a non-argument where mana is concerned. Probably the most intensive healing fights I've encountered are Razuvius (healing the adds), Patchwerk, and Malygos.
And is it static, or if Regrowth crits, does the crit heal for 20% more as well?
By Trokair 13 hr 8 min ago
I'm not sure about the HoT portion, though I can confirm it does work for the initial burst.
And it does seem to be applied to crits for the burst portion as well. (Not sure on that, just seems that way.)
For the burst portion:
W/O regrowth on the target I'm getting: 3.5-5k non crits and 5-7k crits.
With Regrowth on the target: 4.5-6k non crits and a max (that I've noticed) of a 9k plus crit.
This link is a more accurate talent build:
I don't think you're correct. Let's look at the spells.
Regrowth, 29% of base mana, 2 sec cast
Heals a friendly target for 2234 to 2494 and another 2345 over 21 sec.
Nourish, 18% of base mana, 1.5 sec cast
Heals a friendly target for 1883 to 2187. Heals for an additional 20% if you have a Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Lifebloom, or Wild Growth effect active on the target.
So, having a HoT up, Nourish heals: 2259.6 to 2624.4, without Glyph. Plus the Glyph of Nourish: 2372.58 to 2755.62, every cast with just one HoT.
Regrowth with Glyph of Regrowth: 2680.8 to 2992.8.
However, if you are spamming Regrowth, Regrowth's HoT doesn't tick at all. It ticks every three seconds. Regrowth takes two seconds to cast, so it always gets refreshed before it can do anything. Therefore, doing a Nourish spam following a Regrowth allows for another 335 healing every three seconds.
Then, consider over six seconds, if you start with a Regrowth on the target.
Four Nourishs with Nourish Glyph: 9490.32 minimum, plus two regrowth ticks of 335 each. 10160.32 minimum.
Three Regrowths with Regrowth glyph: 8042.4, minimum. 8978.4 maximum.
Additionally, Nourish has talents to increase its bonus spellpower by 20%. Regrowth doesn't have any talents to buff it that it doesn't share with Nourish, to my knowledge. Nourish also has extra talents to reduce its mana cost, and has a base mana cost of 72% over four casts, as opposed to Regrowth's 87% over three casts.
Just gonna toss out that I absolutely love this glyph. I constantly keep Regrowth up anyway, along with the other 3 hot's (Rejuv, LB, WG) just because I like having them up. First char was a Lock, so I love stacking anything "oT." +20% on both the burst /and/ the DoT gives you a NOTICEABLE increase in HpS. I think after Glyph of Swiftmend and Glyph of rejuv (the one that gives you 50 < 50), this is the perfect round out to the glyphs. I love it.
Except that this is a topic for the Glyph of Regrowth, not the comparison of Regrowth vs Nourish.
I always use Glyph of Regrowth. I'm glad to see it effects the initial and the HOT. My question is: Does Swiftmend reflect the +20% healing when used on a target that has a second casting of Regrowth on it with Glyph of Regrowth?
2) Empowered Rejuvenation increases hot portion by 20%
This is wrong. Empowered Rejuvenation increases the
healing Regrowth gets by 20%
of that bonus
. It doesn't mean that Regrowth heals for 20% more, nor does it mean that Regrowth gets an extra 20% of your spell power added. It's a good talent, but it's not quite that good.
for the details.)
Are these comments on the old glyph?
The old Glyph before 4.0 read
Use: Increases the healing of your Regrowth spell by 20% if your Regrowth effect is still active on the target.
Which was nice as regrowth was last for
now It just refresh the
HOT When target at
25% or below
........AND is a prime glyph
I think it is fair if this is a Major glyph, but not as prime. As the potential of this glyph is too low compare to other prime.
It have too much condition to benefit from this glyph, not to mention it's a unlikely situation.
Who will let their target stay below 25% if you a going to regrowth him?
If you don't need to top him up soon you don't need to cast regrowth on him either. Just Rejuvenate him is alright
Hope they change this Glyph to extend the HOT of regrowth or other effect suit as a Prime glyph
This is definitly a situational glyph..
I did Chimaeron last night and it seems like this might be a useful glyph for that fight. I'm going to give it a shot tonight and see how it works out.
Anyone else try this on Chimaeron?
Edit: Not very useful on Chimaeron. The hot just isn't long enough anymore for it to be effective.
From the 4.0.6 patch notes:
Glyph of Regrowth now causes the heal-over-time effect to refresh itself on targets at or below 50% health, up from 25%.
Now it should be much more useful. Although, does the HoT keep refreshing itself as long as the target is below X% health or does it only refresh once?
Great glyph for Anub'arak in toc. Because of our high health totals at 85, his leeching swarm is pretty painful. Regrowth ticking constantly in that phase keeps people low but alive, just enough. Was a huge help.
Much more useful in 5 mans than in raids. Hitting dps with regrowth pretty much guarantees that they will be brought up to about 60%, even if they run out of your range. Also useful for times of heavy tank damage.
be better than swiftmend for 5 mans.
In raids, other healers will top up anyone they see under 50%, so it becomes much less useful.
This glyph can be very useful for druids that like to solo old raid content. I decided to try it after watching a
video of druid doing something that was considered impossible
Razorgore the Untamed
If you are having trouble soloing content and you just need a little more healing, this glyph is perfect. A potentially permanent HoT for when you really need it, when you are low on health. With my (not so good) gear, it is over 250 health per second heal for as long as I am below 50% health. Not too shabby at all.
Because of inferior gear (still working on that) there was one boss I previously couldn't kill because he slowly whittled down my health over time. With this glyph, when he got me to around 50% I popped out, cast regrowth, and went back into bear. I bounced around 50% of health the rest of the fight.
Highly recommended for soloing challenging content.
Regrowth HOT just doesn't tick for enough to justify this. Any other prime glyph will give you better mileage, in practically any circumstance.
In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.
OLD: Glyph of Regrowth
Your Regrowth heal-over-time will automatically refresh its duration on targets at or below 50% health.
NEW: Glyph of Regrowth
Increases the critical strike chance of your Regrowth by 40%, but removes the periodic component of the spell.
Looking very appealing for MoP:
Glyphed Regrowth Heals for 19262 to 21908 + 191.6% of Spell Power (critical) with 1.5 second cast time
Healing Touch heals for 18460 to 21800 + 186% of Spell Power (non-critical) with 2.5 seconds cast time
If you add in the
, glyphed regrowth pulls even further ahead:
Glyphed Regrowth Heals for 25041 to 28480 + 249.1% of Spell Power (critical) with 1.5 second cast time
Unless you have a really, really high crit chance or Regrowth usage would risk you running oom, this seems like a strong choice for restoration.
Anyone know if you can still cast swiftmend after regrowth with this glyph or is it rejuv only now?
Today I noitced it didnt crit twice. It mostly hits for 1300ish at 32. but I had 2 casts where it healed for 750ish. Says 100% chance to crit so not sure whats going on
Ok I feel like I'm going crazy and have to say something. This glyph seems to cause regrowth to crit
on every cast.
My 91 druid has like 10% crit chance, but casting regrowth, I have
never seen it not crit.
This seems incredibly powerful, as it will always proc
Living seed can stack the amount absorbed from these crits, making this one glyph extremely powerful.
Edit: The tooltip for regrowth says crit chance is already 60% -
; so it truly is 100% with the glyph.
With this glyph Regrowth multistrikes always crit.
As of Legion's
