Titanium Ore can be found either in Titanium Nodes (akin to finding Khorium Nodes, generally contains lots of other "goodies" too), or off of Rich Saronite Nodes.

Is this as rare as Khorium?
评论来自
Zitarro
I wouldn't say
this
is as rare as
Khorium
, but
Titanium
gets *replaced* by
Saronite
. It remainds like when you mine
Tin
, its a chance that when you NEXT time are going to try to find it and then you see
SILVER
.
Edit: Forgot to say this. It has a CHANCE of becoming a
Silver Ore / Vein
. Not very high thou.

Akin to Eternium Ore and Khorium Ore, Jewelcrafter's are unable to prospect this stuff.

Does anyone else find it ironic that titanium, a metal found on Earth as well, is apparently better than all these exotic metals like elementium, felsteel, and adamantite? It's also funny how Blizzard apparently uses "steel" as a suffix for any alloy.

One of the best places to find this is Wintergrasp. However, you are unable to use your flying mount, so it really depends. Getting honor while you farm is neat, though.
Another very good place is Icecrown, near the mountains to the NW and following them down.

So this is pretty rare but after an hour grinding ore I found two nodes, giving me a total of 7 ore. They still sell pretty well at around 50g a piece on Eonar EU.
Biggest surprise was mining one of the nodes, I got 4 ore, 4
Crystalized Shadow
, 6
Crystalized Earth
and 4
Crystalized Fire
total. Also I think there was a gem there to, one of the greens ones like a
Dark Jade
.
Finding one of these ores will probably make you a great deal of money for a small amount of effort.

The ore doesn't sell that bad, but on my server at least you're a lot better off making Titansteel with this and selling that, if you really don't need it for yourself.

It has a high chance to give crystallized earth, water, air, or fire and has a strong chance of giving at least one green or blue gem per node.

Wintergrasp confirmed to be the best place to farm titanium, as well as loads of saronite, and a few gnomes.
Follow the mountains around the edge of the map, stopping off in the south east corner to kill any large elementals you find there for crystalized fires to help you with titansteel.

So far Icecrown seems to be an ideal place. The center of the map forms kind of an inner ring connecting the various gates in the area. Just fly around, pick up every saronite node you see, and Titanium will spawn fairly often. Using this method I managed to pick up enough Titanium for my 2h epic mace with only around three total hours of farming. Plus the Saronite is still selling fairly well (55g per stack on my server) so it's a great way to make gold.
Haven't tried Wintergrasp yet, but I would imagine it's more of a pain without being able to use your flying mount as well as griefers from the opposite faction.

I've seen a solid decline in Titanium veins the past couple of days, which I'm inclined to attribute to the great number of miners farming these nowadays.
When I do my tour of the Titanium-zones, there is hardly any vein (not even saronite) that is not being mined for between 10 am and 12 pm.
It would not be such a bad idea to either increase the spawntimer of these veins, or increase the amount of veins present on a map.

I've been able to get a lot of titanium around the border of Icecrown and Storm Peaks, but I see the most saronite nodes around the middle of Icecrown (might respawn as titanium). In my opinion, you'd probably find the most titanium in areas where people mine a lot. More saronite going out: more titanium comming in.
评论来自
308233
Well i agree with alot what people say here. Titanium spawns on the same spawnpoints as saronite. So if you mine alot of saronite you will get more Titanium aswell. Though i do not agree that you are better of looking for it in places where people mine alot. You always get more if you are alone. It is simple math. Say 40 nodes divided to two people is 20 Nodes each. if you are alone you get them all. And you will still mine all those 40 Nodes, so you will have a better chance of getting titanium if you are alone... For those of you who can, i recomend mining during School/work hours.
Also my mining route is pretty simple: Follow the edge of icecrown in a circle twice. then head down to the basin and do the same. Then head back to icecrown. Repeat as needed.
A few hours (usualy 1-2) gives me about 200 Saronite ores and 10-20 Titanium.
A good tip to all miners: Get a pvp gear and us it while mining. I fight for my ores. and many others will. So make sure that if anyone tries to rob you of your ore, you can give them a serius beating

Protection warriors try this: If there is a mob or enemy player near your node, don't charge. (Heroic throw if you need to interrupt the enemy players tap.) Just run up, line all of the offenders up in front of you, hover your mouse over the node, and Shockwave. Congratulations, you just snagged a node under impossible circumstances!

Be careful if you mining Wintergrasp since it PvP zone even in PvE servers. That means opposite fractions can attack you or ambush you <sigh>. So while you mining someone can attack you before you start. Giving the advantage immediately to them, especially if they are rogue class. If everyone just respect that some characters are there for mining and gathering purpose then we can all get items faster, but not everyone like that. So be careful and I notice that some players on my server Rogue class litterly stay at a node and keep stealth mode on and try gank people as they try to mine. So be careful while mining and hopefully you got a kewl guild that will help you exact revenge.

Epic gem prospect rate for titanium is the same as the blue gem rate for saronite. Each gem has a 6% chance to drop. This is ON TOP of the blue gems you get from Titanium, which have the same drop rate of 6% each. Green gem drop rates are about 30% higher than saronite, and you will get titanium dust around 70% of the time. The dust sells for a measly 1g per stack and currently has no recipes that require it.

Do you have any chance to get Epic gems by prospetcing
Saronite Ore
?
评论来自
54236
Your assuming that you can only get one item per prospect which is not true. You chance of getting a gem of any color should be 100% since you will never only get titanium dust (I'm assuming this from the numbers posted and from my experiences prospecting Saronite).
Until we know more about how the loot table works the best we can do is simply give the chance that you will receive each item (epic, blue, green or dust) by treating each item as independent of the others. The percent drop rates can then simply be calculated by dividing the gems found by the number of times ore was prospected.
Here are the percentages I found from adding up all the data post above. The sample size is 366 prospects (1 per 5 ore).
Epic Gems
110 total drops
110/366 =
30.05% independent drop rate
Blue Gems
87 total drops
87/366 =
23.77% independent drop rate
Green Gems
555 total drops
555/366 =
151.6% independent drop rate
(More below on what over 100% means)
Titanium Dust
248 total drops
248/366 =
67.76% independent drop rate
So what do these numbers mean? They give the average number of each item you can expect to receive every time you prospect titanium ore. From this you can calculate your expected payback assuming you have price for each item from your AH.
For each prospect you should expect to receive about:
0.3005 Epic Gems
0.2377 Blue Gems
1.516 Green Gems
0.6776 Dust
Since these are not whole numbers you obviously will not receive exactly this every time you prospect but this is the average you would expect to receive given a large enough sample. Assuming you will not receive more than one epic or blue gem, or one of each, the chance of getting an epic or blue gem will be 46.67%. This is easily found by subtracting the chance you receive neither from 100% as seen below.
1 - ((1 - 0.3005) x (1 - 0.2377)) = 0.4667 = 46.67%
As far as green gems goes the 151.6% means that roughly 50% of the time you will receive 1 green gem and 50% of the time you will receive 2 green gems, assuming of course that you receive AT LEAST one green gem every time your prospect.

Summary of various prospects from different sites:
7080 titanium ore, 1416 prospects:
405 epics - 28,6%
377 blues - 26,62%
2259 greens - 159,53%
1076 dust - 75,99%
- Prospecting titanium requires jwc lvl 450.
- 10 titanium dusts can be traded into 1 jwc token in Dalaran via a repeatable quest.
- You may get 2 gems of the same quality from 1 prospect, including 2 epics.
- You may get 2 of the same quality of more than 1 quality (ie 2x greens + 2x blues) in the same prospect, so you may get 4+ gems from 1 prospect.

As of 3.2 you can prostpect Titanium Ore. I whent on the PTR with 305 ore (61 prospects) and managed to get the following out come.
39 Titanium Powder (63%)
5 Cardinal Ruby (8%) -- Red
4 Eye of Zul (6.5%) -- Green
5 King's Amber (8%) -- Yellow
4 Dreadstone (6.5%) -- Purple
1 Majestic Zircon (1.5%) -- Blue
1 Ametrine (1.5%) -- Orange
Titanium Powder is added in 3.2 allowing Jewel Crafters another means of getting Dalaran Jewelcrafter's Token. You can turn 10 in for 1 token. 5 Tokens is the cost of the new patterns which can be bought from the Jewel Crafting daily quest giver.
These are rough estimates and i rounded to nice looking numbers. I hope this helps someone!

A reasonable prediction for patch day is this ore will be through the roof for a good week or two price wise. Much like the patch that introduced inscription and the herb inflation, those who are long term AH investors would be extremely smart to buy up as much of this ore as possible over the weeks leading to Patch day, whether for prospecting oneself or for resale during the rush.
Just be careful not to pre-inflate the prices by overbuying the product; an overly dry AH is no one's friend.

Depending on the WoW economy it may be worthwhile prospecting (or getting a mate to prospect if you aren't a JC) your titanium ore instead of selling it, as the yields look fairly promising. Someone offered to buy stacks of my titanium ore today on a live realm for 250g per stack, so i assume epic gems will be same price as BC (around 2-300g).

My understanding is this "underground" farming is done through the phase engine, people intentionally do not forward a quest line and remain in a phased aspect of the game, same node are present but you are both not present in the same phase, so when the other person is mining the node and you don't see them except if you use the combat log, the log will say s"xxxx" mines saronite node", not really a cheat but an exploit....ummm needs to be addressed but I doubt it will, fight fire with fire and roll another dk I guess.

the percentage are roughly 4-5% for every epic gem, honestly unlesss your in it for titanium powder (JC's) just sell the ore by the stacks for a pretty PRETTY penny, it's more economical, nothing more heartbreaking than to waste a whole stack and get no epic gems. A stack of ore in my realm sells for 400-500g FOR ONE STACK. While according to the charts, you have a chance of only getting 1 epic gems per stack, which typically sell for only 200g. Just do your JC dailies to buy the recipes, use honor from wg dailies to buy the gems, and sell the ore, in no time you'll be ruling the AH.

Also an addition to the hacking conversation, I was mining a titanium vein, nobody was around me, but before I could finish, the ore disapeared and my toon said something like "that would be stealing"or something. Also people are hacking into the game as lvl 1 characters and somehow raising themselves in the air, very high, and droping themselves, do it with enough people and it spells a website. one is ign.com I think. More gold farmers...

Baught a bunch of stacks today to see if it at all is profitable if you sell the dust.
Keep in mind these prices are dunemaul EU prices, they vary quite allot from server to server.
360 Titanium Ore (260gold per stack, 13gold per Ore )
4680g total
Prospecting all stacks gave me the following;
(All prices below are RAW UNCUT gems, obviously prices are a tad higher when cut to the bestselling gem of that type)
Amount - Gem - Ah Price per - Total Price in gold
Uncommon:
51 Titanium Powder - 30 - 1530
18 Shadow Crystal - 3.32 - 61
23 Dark Jade - 4.50 - 103,5
24 Bloodstone - 2 - 48
22 Huge Citrine - 1.5 - 33
12 Sun Crystal - 1.5 - 18
16 Chalcedony - 8.90 - 142,4
Rare:
2 Sky Sapphire - 6.50 - 13
2 Twilight Opal - 10 - 20
3 Scarlet Ruby - 50 - 150
5 Monarch Topaz - 5 - 25
2 Forest Emerald - 6 - 12
Epic:
5 Ametrine - 140 - 700
3 King's Amber - 130 - 390
8 Eye of Zul - 112 - 896
5 Dreadstone - 125 - 625
6 Cardinal Ruby - 125 - 750
Total:
5516,9
That gives about 830 gold profit
if you sell the Titanium Dust
and sell the gems uncut. Now imagine if you spend some time cutting them, a little work and such a moneymaker still.

Incorrect; it's possible to get only uncommon gems when prospecting Titanium Ore. For example I just got Dark Jade, Huge Citrine and Titanium Powder when prospecting 5 Titanium Ore.
You misread his post. He counted titanium powder as "not a green gem". He's suggesting that there are two separate drop tables for prospecting, one for green gems, and one for powder + blues + epics.

Prospecting is learned if you are a jewel crafter ( not sure if its at 1 or higher ).
Every (about) 2 titanium ore you will get 1 Titanium Powder.
Titanium powder is used for dalaran jewlcrafter's token.
(10 Titanium Powder makes 1 dalaran jewlcrafter's token), A dalaran jewlcrafter's token is used for designes (each design costs 2,3,4,5 or 6 dalaran jewlcrafter's token) it is also used for dragon's eye.
Dragon's eye makes necklesses, rings, and gems which the jewel crafter can only use if he/she has a skill of 350 or higher.
Nightmare Tear on the other hand matches ANY socket and doesn't require jewel crafting. ( its NOT soulbound)
I'm sorry if this didnt help you or friends read other coments if you're not satisfied

I utilized Gathermate and Gathermate 2 addons.. I had previously gone through Wintergrasp and hit the old nodes and new ones that I found along the way. I did submit a screen shot of my map, but it takes 72 hours for approval, haha. If it does get approved you will see the aqua blue/green saronite nodes and the silver titanium ones. Gathermate is, for the most part, reliable. At best I will find the ores, or it will be directly next to where it is suppose to be. At worst it has not spawned. Sometimes it says titanium when it is actually saronite, though. I believe this has something to do with in game mechanics where you have to farm that area a few times before the titanium spawns.
Good luck, hope that helps. I am needing the titanium for my mechano-hog. Still working on getting exalted with Horde expedition and saving gold for the parts. All the saronite I am farming I turn over to my husband (who has 525 Alchemy) and he transmutes it to titanium. Tedious, but better than paying AH prices.

The best place by far is still Wintergrasp, but it seems like you get better results if your faction owns it. The other advantage is that it is a tighter circuit to go around than other zones and unless you are skipping nodes, they'll be back up by the time you get back to them.
HAVING SAID THAT it still sucks... one time around may get you 4 nodes, the next will not yield any...

Wintergrasp is still the best zone to find titanium ore. I've spent plenty of time in Icecrown and Sholazar Basin and the spawn rate is no where as high and no where near as successful. The respawn time in WG is fastand the zone is smaller, so less travel time. I found it easiest to make a circular flight path around the zone. You do need to mine out all the saronite since titanium is a rare spawn from those nodes. Just beware, this is still a pvp zone. It was completely quiet since my faction controlled the zone but mileage may vary!

WG is somewhat unreliable since WoD came out. It's prone to shifting a lot and often times I found WG completely devoid of everything (walls, mobs, guards, and yes herbs and ores). It's been like this and I found it's just better to go elsewhere like Scholazar Basin to farm saronite and have alchemist xmute it all.
It sucks but until Blizzard figures out why WG keeps spazzing out, it may be faster and easier to farm elsewhere.

Wintergrasp may be THE place, but it's still a very poor spawn rate. Three times around the perimeter with a few incursions into the central areas and got 124 saronite, with only 17 titanium ores. This does not seem to prove that titanium spawns around old saronite sites. Also, the titanium rate seemed to be equally spread over the sites, not just on the 2nd and 3rd round.
I wish that Blizzard would look more closely at the items that require titanium ore/bars and consider the difficulty and/or cost of getting it.

As of 1 July 16, I'm averaging around 5 nodes per round yielding around 2 ore each. Not bad but certainly not the most enjoyable grind in the world. The elemental drop rates for fire earth water etc is around 5-10%. Also, I am the only one in the zone at the moment and have been for the past 30 minutes or so.

As of 7.0, there is only a 10 minute timer between Wintergrasp matches. And while Wintergrasp battle is happening, you can't fly. So farming Titanium here is no longer viable. Which is terrible news, because I'm finding way less in Icecrown than i did in Wintergrasp. Just thought people would want to know. GL.

A great way to get (additional) titanium bars (not ore) is

. 8 Saronite bars (of which Saronite ore you will find a lot of in your search for titanium) make one titanium bar. You may get lucky and find some bonus titanium while out mining, but getting an alchemist to turn saronite bars into titanium seems a much more reliable way of getting bars. If you get a transmute master alchemist, the transmute can even proc for additional bars.

It's 2020, and Wintergrasp is a great place to farm it. Wintergrasp battles happen with a large gap of time in between, which you can fly around in a near empty area and farm to your heats content.
