Can be bought from Honor hold, Thrallmar and Lower City exalted. These, or some of them at least, will also hold the pattern for a 24 slot ammo pouch.

Its about time to get some bigger quivers. I feel that 24 slots isnt enough though. On a normal raid night, a full 24 slot quiver might be enough, but not on anything longer than that.

At least its something.

New in patch 2.3, the pattern requires revered with Lower City and is purchasable for 16g.

This quiver is a 6 slot upgrade to those previously available ( 1 2 ), although not an upgrade as far as the equip function is concerned.

The recipe name is "Thousand Arrows" while the actual quiver is "Thousand Feathers". Oops.

For the light feathers I'd suggest going to the Charred Vale in the Stonetalon Mountains. The Harpies have about a 30% chance to drop a light feather and their population is decently vast so that by the time you are done with the third camp, the first has respawned. They also have about 600-620hp making them about 90% one-shotable except for the elite that has 2.2khp.

All in all, it took my about 45 mins to gather all the mats for the quiver.

What's up with this being unique? Does that mean I can't equip one while making others to sell? That's a bit weird..

That is a bit unusual to me as well. It will probably be changed to Unique-Equipped like many of the Jewelcrafting items.

Seems a little strange that the two new 24 slot ammo containers appear to be the only items in-game that require a nether yet aren't tagged as epic.

Thats a mistake at the current state (10-26).

All items will now be unique equipped from now on all Unique will be removed. (In the current patch notes). If you have a toon on the PTR, be sure to report feedback on this. The more they have the better chance it will change and not get overlooked.

Enchanters have this problem when a unique item drops from a 5man boss and they are unable to pick it up to DE since they already have it equipped

Best place to farm light feathers would be the NW corner of the barrens, as you'll never run out of harpies, even while one shotting them.

This is for those who plan to buy most of the materials off the AH and get a leatherworker that can make it and has a nether to make it for them. Really not bad whatsoever materials wise for this amazing quiver.

Yes this is now the best quiver in game, but only by slots. As the old epic lvl 60 one has the same increased speed.

Alot of these posts were posted before 2.3, when the Knothide Quiver was introdued into the game.

But, I agree, don't forget about that quiver.

As of patch 2.4, its now possible to purchase all the mats via the AH (previously Primal Nethers were BoP).
Purchased all the mats on the auction house for the following

8 Heavy Knothide Leather - 16g
99 Light Feathers - 20g
2 Primal Air - 54g
1 Primal Nether - 75g

Total cost 165g

The above is based on prices on Arathor (EU) and so will be server dependent. Since these cost 320g on the AH before the nether was changed, i would expect now would be a great time to grab this great quiver.

This is by far the biggest quiver in the game. It has room for different kinds of arrows such as PvP arrows and PvE arrows .(I use Black Flight arrows for PvE because they are cheaper)

The mats can be hard to get but this quiver is defiantly worth it.

Rarely will you find all 99 light feathers in the AH. How I suggest getting them (and how I did it) is going to Crossroads (Alliance can try Westfalls but I’m not sure if this is as effective) and offer the buy Light Feathers for one or two silver each I had about eight people whisper me and sell me all their feathers.
I got 99 Light Feathers for about 2g.

A thing i have notised is that the ammo/arrow containers "ammo pouch" and "quiver" is that they give ranged attack power only too the ammo type the bag is for.
So Quiver of a Thousand Feathers http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34105 do ONLY give +15% ranged attack power to ARROWS
and Netherscale Ammo Pouch http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34106 do ONLY give +15% ranged attack power to BULLETS!!!!

this is info for those that tests what ranged weapon is best (mostly hunters)
With one of those bags equiped it gives wrong info

For example Crossbow of Relentless Strikes http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34892
and Mysterious Arrow http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34581
with Netherscale Ammo Pouch http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34106
gives 289.1DPS and with

Cost me around 200 gold to buy all the mats from the auction house. Very well worth it though, this thing will last you a long time before you need to fill it again.

Does the equip effect work if you're a warrior and have the shoot skill, or does it only make shooting 15% faster if you're a hunter?

24 slots multiplied by the new 1000 stacks=24000 arrows, considering each arrow graphic has two feathers, this should be called the Quiver of forty eight thousand ~~arrows~~ feathers. Although one thousand ~~arrows~~ feathers sounds more....hmm, I guess you could say mystical.

Changed in patch 4.0 (or possibly before), this item is now an all-purpose 20 slot bag. A great item for anyone who does not (yet) have the WotLC or Cata Expansions. Mats are a bit harder to farm than those for the Frostweave Bag, but now tailors don't have the market cornered.

Edit: It looks like the pattern itself is no longer obtainable...

Amusingly enough, this model is still visible on any character equipping the item, even non-hunters. It doesn't seem to appear until you log out and back in, though. I've attached a screenshot of my human shadow priest with a quiver for proof.

This back graphic for this item should be fixed now. I had one crafted just today and equipped it on my death knight.
Relogged and nothing shown. I took off my 2hander ( that was laying on my back ), tabard, and cloak. Re-equipped the 'bag' and still nothing.

Not too much a biggy, was a cheap 20 slotter if you farmed the mats other than light feathers :D

The pattern has been removed from the game, so new people can't learn it any more. But anybody who already knew it, still has it. So if you want one, ask around.

As of patch 5.0.1, this item can still be made.
As said, it is now a 20 slot 'generic' bag.

My hope, however, was that it would show up on my back just for the looks.
Sadly, it did not. This was tried on a 90 undead male arms warrior.
I tried relogging after every re-equip, tried a couple of times with and without weapons, etc.
none of these attempts worked.

I'm afraid these don't show up on your back anymore. :(
Will keep it on for now though, still have hope it might just be buggy or something.
Will update this post in a while. :)

Edit - 11 days later:
Haven't seen the quiver appear on my back even once.
Seems to have been removed, unfortunately. :(
