This is the level 80
obtained from disenchanting Wotlk epics.
Has anyone gotten a "doubler" yet? (2 Abyss from 1 epic) I'm curious, I've DEed about 10 heroic epics, and only gotten singles each time.
the best way to get those is whit a help of a bs and do alot of frost resistance epic belts and boots
if you want 10 then you need
eternal fire x20
all of those mats are easy to find at wintergrasp and is the best way to make the for me and alot of people before 3.0.8 arrives
Quick, and probably stupid question, can I use old epics (ones that I've replaced) and get them D'ed for these? (The old epics are from WotLK.)
The best way to farm these now is just to do the new ToC instance. You get up to 6 ilevel 200 purps per run, and you can run the instance up to five times an hour.
Yea I've been farming the new ToC instance on normal for the past few days, so far, gotten 2 stacks of these for my own use, as well as the excess being shared amoung guild members who were in the party at the time.
Great time to start getting these farmed for alt's enchants.
Actually not, because the Void & Abyss crystals are used in actual enchants, whereas the only thing nexus crystals are good for is creating Sageblade and for creating a Small Primatic Shard, via Nexus Transformation. But they are produced from low-level epics, SIMILAR to Void & Abyss crystals.
Anyone's who's researched old WoW knows that there are many enchants today that do not require an item level (i.e. vanilla enchants) which required BC materials. It's not much of a stretch to understand why--these enchants used to require vanilla mats, including Nexus crystals. Item purposes change. Rest assured that the Nexus Crystal
the original Void Crystal/Abyss Crystal, not the bastard child of enchanting materials it is today.
We'd all do well to learn how the game we love today evolved, rather than assume things have always been as they are. It helps us understand the game's past and apply that knowledge toward its present and future. :)
would be viable for DEing now since it only costs 171 JP which is relatively cheap, depending on your server you could make some nice profit.
Best Way to get these is by:
1: Go to legacy PVP vendor and buy the lvl 80 OH items for 190 Honor
2: ~if 85~Farm regular ICC Dungeons (Or heroic ones if youre a tank type who can)
This also has a 1.2% Drop rate off of Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade
My favourite way to get these is Forge of Souls if you can kill both bosses you can get at least 3 per run. This is easier to solo now in mists.
As well the first boss in Forge of Souls has a chance of dropping 2 different bags (one only on heroic)
R.I.P Abyss Crystals... You will be missed...
Where exactly is the ToC instance ? Is it Trial of The Crusader or Champions ? I want to farm Abyss Crystal to get Infinite Dust to make Bolt of Imbued Frostweave. Do I have to have enchanting as a profession to do this ? Thanks
Disenchanted from Epic (purple) items with an item level of 165 to 284
Can be turned into
Epics that disenchant into Abyss Crystals are found from:
Bought with Gold
Bought with Honor
Other crystals you may be interested in:
(Wrath of the Lich King)
(Mists of Pandaria)
(Warlords of Draenor)
ICC is super easy now so it's pretty quick to farm these for the tomes there =D
