One of the newest cards from the WoW Card Game Expansion to be released on August 22nd, "Fires of Outland".
This specific card is from a rare foil card, Goblin Gumbo, which will conjure a gumbeaux (
) that can be looted from the cauldron 5 times, bestowing a 5-minute buff.
This effect from the actual Gumbeaux may trigger while mounted or on a taxi. The buff is a poison effect, and causes the user to burp green smoke similar to that from Fiery Festival Brew (
Snagged one from the preview release in Arlington, TX.
Has a one hour cooldown, you get 5 Goblin Gumbeaux from the kettle.
Apparently only the person that has it can loot the Gumbeaux, I'm not sure that partied members can loot it, but I'll check tonight.
I'll also up lead a picture later when I get the chance.
Gooru, Undead Warlock, Twisting Nether RPPvP
EDIT: Okay, tested the party members looting; in order for others to loot the kettle, they have to be in your party.
Anyone in your raid may loot from the kettle. Note that since these are not unique, one person can spam the pot and take all five. Unfortunately, you won't be able to toy much in this with raids, as your faithful depoisoners will click it off before checking to find out what it was.
This item works great with the
from BlizzCon 2007. You can burp fire from your Murloc.
Patch 2.2: Pot is available for loot by anyone now. It's small and hard to see so you often have to explain to people to loot the green pot. Unlike the picnic basket, the opposite faction (horde or alliance) cannot
loot your pot. Only your same faction.
Pot doesn't seem to stick around very long (few minutes/3?).
burp effect buff is poison, so sometimes people ask if you want to be cured (NO!)
Burp Effect is random/passive, and there's nothing you can do to make it happen more.
Plays an AWESOME burp sound effect when it goes off. It's hilarious. It's definitely worth getting this item.
Patch 2.2: You can only store one serving in your inventory (unique item). But after using one, you can immediately grab another one so. That extends the length to 10 minutes of burping total.
If you're on a flying mount, the burp effect leaves green smoke trails (like a sky writer)
If you're running in circles while burping, you can make a cool green circle.
After months of using it, I always have problems getting people to loot the pot. You have to explain to them that they should loot the
green pot, use the gumbo, and then loot a second gumbo to save.
Item will be changed in 2.2:
I don't have the changes in front of me but from memory the one hour cooldown is remaining, but anyone will be able to loot from it, it will provide unlimited pots of gumbeaux, and the pot will remain on the ground for three minutes. (
If you happen to get two of these make sure you use the 2nd one on an alt. I had gotten two of these and they are on the same 60 min cool down which makes it useless. I tried asking a few GM's but they said that they can not help me with my problem.

The buff that u get from Goblin Gumbo overrides your well fed buff, this might of been changed in 2.2 i need to test it, i told a GM about this and the GM said that no 1 complained about this and there for it was not a known bug or is intended to replace your well fed buff.
EDIT: Still not changed in the current patch, 2.2.2, maybe it will get fixed in 2.2.3
EDIT EDIT: still not changed in 2.3
EDITx3: i dont think this will be changed for awhile, or if it will be ever changed, still overrides the well fed buff in 2.4 PTR
Confirmed, anyone can loot it.
Where does it come from and how hard is it to get?
The Goblin Gumbo Kettle comes from the World of Warcraft TCG (trading card game)
Fires of Outland (
1/121 booster packs
Fires of Outland booster boxes contain 24 boosters and cost approx $140 USD (inc. shipping), therefore the average cost of obtaining this particular loot is $531.00.
How much would I expect to pay for one off eBay or similar?
(most information sourced from there), the lowest Buy It Now price starts around $20 USD upwards to $23 USD, with the average quantity listed hovering around 17 items.
The kettle dropped lasts for 3 minutes and can be looted an unlimited amount of times by anyone who clicks it.
When clicked you receive a unique
Using this item creates a buff that makes you belch green breath at irregular intervals for five minutes.
Using a Goblin Gumbo before embarking on a long flight allows players to occasionally see a long trail of your green breath.
Useable at any level and therefore available for twinks.
How do the Loot cards work?
Loot cards are special rare versions of WoW TCG cards found in booster packs, starter decks, and raid decks that have a revealable unique code. Once this protective layer concealing the code is scratched away, a 25 digit promotion code is revealed that can be entered into the Blizzard offical promotions page. These codes work for both US and EU servers.
I have the 25 digit loot code, now what?
All accounts from every region in the world use
to redeem any and all special loot. This webpage allows you to enter the 25 digit promotion code and also select the region and realm for the character that will receive the loot item.
Upon succcessfuly submitting the above information, you will be presented with an in-game code. Write this code down or print it out; you will need it to retrieve your item. Log into the game with the character that is to receive the item and travel to Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Vale. There, you will need to find a goblin by the name of Landro Longshot. He is located on the lower parts of Booty Bay on the docks, and should be easily recognised due to the fact that he has a distinctive purple shirt and two body guards next to him.
When you find Landro, he will first ask if you are here for a promotion, and then ask you which TCG expansion your item comes from (or Points Redemption); check your loot card if you are not sure which item that is. Ensure you have got bag space to hold the item!
