Posted before drop location known by Wowhead: This drops from
in Terokkar Forest. The transformation lasts 5 minutes.
The trinket gives you one of several different outfits, randomly selected. Also, it seems to change randomly when you change a zone. So if you put it on in a dungeon and leave the dungeon, you'll come out looking different.
It also increases your size to about that of a Tauren, so it's worth using a Winterfall Firewater as well to be even bigger.
it's not usable in arena, its on 30min cd so you cant pop it in there and the transformation is a buff so it gets removed if you enter with it.
as a note on the randomly selected outfits, if you're a warrior and change stances you will also switch outfit.
the trinket in general is pretty cool (for a while), but the cooldown vs. duration makes it kinda boring
If a druid shapeshifts they will lose the buff.
The Arakkoa you transform into seems to be pretty random. Ive used it three times now and gotten 3 very different looking models.
Is it possible to talk to the guy on the island of skettis to buy scrolls while wearing the disguise?
This the the Burning Crusade version of the Orb of Deception. It does not make you friendly with the Arakkoa, or unfriendly with your current faction. It is purely for cosmetic purposes, and it has a wide variety of emotes.
- /Sit or Lie
- /Laugh or Lol
It is has an animation for casting spells, drinking / eating, hearthing, clicking a soul well or a summon, and possibly others. It drops off of Terrok, a boss you summon by doing a Skyguard questline. The trinket itself lasts forever (yay!) and could certainly fool an opposing faction into thinking you are an NPC.
Got one today after almost 1,000 scrolls. Very tough to farm! Good luck!
In case some people were unaware, you still aggro things in Skettis while the buff is on. Still a very cool trinket.
This is my favorite trinket in the entire game.
Sure, there are others that are pretty cool, but this sure beats the heck out of the Orb of Deception.
These are the different Arakkoas you can transform into (Follow link and view in 3d):
Colors may also vary. My personal favorite is the one wearing the Bone Mask. For those who have this: ENJOY! Hope this helped and I envy all who have this.
A hunter using Feign Death will also give an Arakkoa's death animation.
Whats the duration on this? Is it the same as the orb of deception?
At 80, Terokk is easily soloable by at least Death Knights. Probably more classes too. But he does insane damage when he enrages and it's kinda hard to keep healing on him cause he is immune to all damage at 20% which means: No Death Strike!
Didn't use any tanking gear. DPS gear and Unholy presence.
Otherwise, very fun and the best part is: It dropped on my first kill!
If you're a lock, or hunter I guess, don't start ignoring your pet when he gets to low health and attempt to just nuke him down. Just did this and just as my pet died, he went immune again at about 4k health and killed me. Very annoying.
Edit: Just got him on the 2nd attempt and the trinket dropped :) so that made up for the annoying death for sure.
You can mount up on the argent tournament horses with this buff on. Looks like you are surfing on the horse. Would do again A+++
It seems like it drops alot on the first kill for many people. I was wondering also, its been a long time since Terokkar, is it possible to fight and farm him for this trinket if you've already completed the quest line?
It's funny to turn on PvP and use this trinket. Then opposite faction players might think you're a mob- given you don't have an outlandish guild or name.
Bonus points if you have an appropriate guild name or title.

Feel free to comment on others i may have missed and I'll be sure to add them here.
I haven't seen any indication here so I'll mention this now. I got my Figurine on roughly my 22nd summon (~18th kill) as a Rogue. I posted the how-to on killing him as a rogue on Terokk's comment page.
The whole ordeal took me from 0/3000 Neutral to ~18.5k/21k Revered <-- Good frame of reference imo.
It will most definitely drop if you keep farming. I got a cloak and a weapon and like 12 pairs of pants.. basically EVERYTHING before the trinket!
Good luck! Keep at it!
I'm doing this boss since i farm rep with the
. I just started and had no idea what this guy was going to drop, i managed to get this trinket on my first kill, was a nice suprise. It's really "a-fun-thing-to-have" trinket.
Just recently remembered this trinket's existence (it was all the rage back in BC) when I noticed the 20
Elixer of Shadows
in my bank and thought, "Oh yeah! That's what they're for!", and decided to first of all see if I could solo Terrok on my mage (sure can), and have been farming it non stop for the last 3 days when I'm online. 15 kills in so far and no luck (however have gotten one of the BoE epics 5 times now), hoping to get it soon, not too happy to hear that a lot of people are getting it on their first try >.<
EDIT: Got it on my 30th kill :). Stray strong, it WILL drop eventually.
For Death Knight; I seem to notice a sort of trend.
Depending on what presence you're in when you use the item determines the type of Arakkoa appearance you take.
Blood - The Plate/Mail wearing Arakkoa. Often the skin of the Arakkoa guards.
Frost - The regular Arakkoa with no mask.
Unholy - The bone mask Arakkoa.
For any wondering, these are not unique equip. However,
they share a cooldown with one another
so having two does not allow for multiple transformations.
quick question does this still drop i searched atlas loot and Terokk it didnt say it dropped it?
I just found out today that you
mount the dragons in the Oculus instance without breaking the transformation. I assume this is because they're considered vehicles instead of mounts.
When you use the bubblegum from the Ogre Pinata whilst disguised using this trinket, the bubble from the gum appears floating above the forehead :D
This is easily soloable, even in crappy gear, at level 80. Just take it nice and slow, put a single Corruption on the boss, or use Drain Life if you're not Affliction, so that you stay healed. Health Funnel your pet when it gets low. Eventually the boss will go immune, then just drag him to one of the fires, then DPS him hard when the bubble falls off.
One important note that got me killed because I didn't realize it
- If the boss is immune,
do not use Soulshatter
if you need to drop aggro - the boss is immune to it, and Soulshatter will not affect him. The solution is to Soulshatter before he goes immune, because it's really difficult to tank the boss for as long as you need before a blue fire appears.
Can someone please tell me how I can find that bloody guy?
I have looked for him in a month!:'(
This item is a great side-effect of grinding
Arakkoa have a nice-looking dual-wield stance(both idle and combat). Good for rogues indeed.
Not sure about the drop rates nerf, I got mine while getting Sha'tari rep on 4th kill. And then another one on 6th.
I made a list of gimmick items which you can use to transform your character into a different form or race or even gender to play around with. I didn't add items like weapons that provide a procc with a transform effect that only lasts a few seconds even though I know about them. My intention was to list all items with controlable transformations. Feel free to let me know if I missed an item!
I want to thank all the people below my lists who pointed out items I missed! This list grows thanks to your effort as well! Thanks guys, you're great!

I can't use this in Tol Barad. It won't even make an error message, it just won't cast.
Also, got on 7th try. Don't despair.
Fun fact. If you use
while under this transformation, the bubbles blown will appear to grow from the front of your head.
As of Cataclysm (4.3) Terokk and all of the mini-bosses are extremely easy for any class. It should only take ~15 minutes to collect all 40 scrolls and kill the elites, so you can kill Terokk for a chance to get this many times every day.
Just to confirm that trinket still drops ingame because after 40+ kills i was in serious doubt. Finally got it, must admit i started to having a nightmares about arakkoas and grinding to collect time-lost scrolls, gl to all!
Dropped for me today under patch 5.0.4
:D anyone play patch 2.4.3,:P cant find the how to finish quests;(
this and vrykul drinking horn spam are a surprisingly good combination for amusing yourself/being generally annoying while waiting for people in LFR.
Would be nice , if developers reduce cooldown of this item .
been farming this off and on since 85 :) maybe 50+ kills no trinket!
How do you summon terokk after quest
Try using this, and then play the "Roll down Serpent Spine" mini game, in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. It looks fantastic! I expected to see a rolling arrokaoakrak, but I got something much better. Try it for yourself :)
in Wod This item will be a normal BoP use like a normal ordinary use item like Iron Boot Flask for example and no longer a trinket. which is lovely.
make a macro of Talon king's ikiss's yell if you have this item.
''Ra-ak! Trinkets, yes. Pretty trinkets! Ak! Power, great power. Ra-kaw! Power in trinkets! Ak-caw!"
if you dont do this. i will be dissapointed of you.
This isn't easy to get at the moment. Not because it requires good gear, a group, or a long grind, but because of the amount of people also trying to get it and the way that Terokk works.
Once you have the offering for him (about 20 minutes of farming each) it is very hard to summon him due to the amount of players also waiting. Every time I have been there, even at 4am or 10am on a weekday, there is always at least 2-8 players waiting for the pile of bones to spawn (spawns every 15 minutes). There is no point waiting there with them because it just becomes a cluster of people shouting at each other for kill stealing, and the chance of having it stolen is very high. I've been trying to get it for a few weeks now and have lost quite a few offerings due to kill stealing or using the offering at the same time as someone else.
If you both activate the pile of bones it will take both offerings.
The only way to do it, unless you want to be farming the offerings for other people for the rest of your life, is to keep coming back to see if no one is there, which is quite rare as it seems to be quite popular at the moment because it is listed in the toy box now.
Has become much more popular and usable with WoD and the Toy Box because it now no longer is a Trinket that has to be equipped in order to be transformed
dont even try to get this item now, pathetic leechers camp the summon point and steal your tag.
tried on low pop servers and still at least 3 ppl camping, they should remove this pest called xrealm zones really.
farmed a few offerings but wont even bother to use them as long as the spot is camped, gonna get back when the place is empty again.
This thing is complete nightmare to farm now. Takes about 20-30min to farm one offering per player. There are 15+ players farming scrolls and about 5 waiting to summon Terokk at any given moment. That's 20 people that could summon the boss 2 or 3 times per hour so 40-60 summons in total needed but you can only do it 4x because of the respawn timer. Add on top of that mob tagging where who has best latency wins and 10% drop rate so people are gonna be there for a long time.
I doubt they will do anything about it since it affects only "small" portion of players.
Just got this item today (11-9-2014), been farming it for quite some time, low drop chance so be prepared to give this farm a few goes, also beware when trying to get this on high population servers, you never know when a rogue is waiting to steal it from an unsuspecting player, so be prepared to use instant spells to tag this bird before somebody else does.
I decided to do the quest line to attempt to get this item on a total whim around a week ago, and went through the trouble of getting all the items for the rituals so I could have two back-to-back chances at looting the item when I fought Terrok. I ended up getting it on the first damn try XD I was expecting to have to try a few times, I mean I've continuously tried to farm for rare mounts to no success and then this happens :D
I have been farming this toy for a few hours every day. I have gotten to exalted with the Sha'tar Skyguard only by killing mobs and summoning Terokk. Now I have 5 more mounts and a pet that I'll probably never use, which is nice.
According to the addon "Rarity", I have done 16 attempts and my chances to get the toy are 81.47%. Still no such luck.
Hell, I don't even like the Arakkoa, but at this point, it is something personal. I will farm it until it drops. I will edit this comment once I get it.
Update (3/5/2015): Never got it. Screw this toy.
9% my ass, I've killed him 20 times and no drop
Pop it, /dance and watch a good show ;)
A note to those of you who are Balance specialization
will not target
. Even if you have the glyph:
I discovered this when I was farming for
I have spent hours and hours farming this the past few days. I'm currently up to 40 kills, and no toy... Starting to think this 9% drop is bunk... I've gotten 0.1% stuff faster then this. >_<
Got some horde jerk out here now trying to tag my summons, so it's time to stop for the night I guess.
Dropped today after 8-10 kills
Check the AH for offerings. Bought two, got the figurine on the second attempt.
Does the Arakkoa you change in to have the updated models that the ones in Draenor have?
New in Patch 7.0.3: Terokk is personal loot. So everyone in the group can loot him directly (without roll). Best thing, if anyone loot the toy, which has already it, he/she can trade the toy.
After they removed realm hop opportunity, its pretty easy to farm Terrok without any competitors after midnight. Just got this toy on 3rd kill!
Figured I'd add my 2¢ as I'm working on the 300 toy achievement for the mount and decided to give this one a go. There's a good write-up on how to summon Terokk on his page so go read that. It's the top comment and it's still valid.
At 110 on a prot pally, it took me about 5 minutes to get the 6 dust needed for the initial elixir. In the 20 minute buff of the elixir, I was able to get 65 scrolls and an additional 24 dust. A large portion of time was wasted mounting and pally's aren't known for their speed enhancements (they're sloowwww).
It would go a lot quicker if I was on a druid with instant flight form and a spammable ranged attack like moonfire. So if you have a druid, do it on that character, or abuse the class trial system and send the scrolls to your main.
It took about 45 minutes from starting the quest chain to kill Terokk for the first time. About 10 minutes of that was traveling for the initial quests and then waiting for the bone pile to spawn so I could summon him. You get two summoning orbs from the initial quest chain but respawn on the bone pile is about 20 minutes.
So get into a rhythm of using the elixirs to farm scrolls and when you have enough scrolls summon the 4 minibosses and by the time you're done with that the bone pile should be up again. I started being OCD about farming as many scrolls as I could in the 20 minute buff but you get so much dust when you AOE the time lost mobs that it's a non issue. I summoned him 4 times and only used 2 elixirs (have 2 left and 26 dust) and still have 52 scrolls in my inventory. Gonna head to bed and work on it some more tomorrow.
Edit: Spent more time today collecting scrolls and summoning Terokk. Got the Time-Lost Figurine on kill #12 Ran into a Horde Demon Hunter who kept trying to steal my summons... I tried to invite him to group since it drops for everyone but he refused. He started typing to me about how it was more fun to try and steal the kill from me. Not sure why I always attract the worst kind of people but he can't steal a kill from a pally with swirling hammers and consecrate doing constant aoe damage under him :)
Decided to try my luck at this Toy the other night, dropped after 5 Terokk kills.
There may be some prequesting required in the skettis areas prior to getting to this trinket hunting phase.
Step 1 - Gather 6 dust from arrakoa to trade in for the elixir. After you use the elixir you have 20 minutes to run around and kill the spirit arrakoa and gather time-lost scrolls.
Step 2 - Gather Time-Lost Scrolls from spirit Arrakoa. I found the most spirit arrakoa on the platforms off the ground and around the skull piles on the ground.
Step 3 - You need 10 time lost scrolls to summon each boss from skull piles. There are 4 bosses to summon and each boss has a 100% chance to drop their "material" for Time-lost offering.
Step 4 - After you Trade in for your time-lost offering go to the skull pile located on the isle in the middle of the lake and summon Terokk.
Step 5 - There was plenty of time between Terokk skull pile respawns to gather materials for another Time-lost offering (Approx 15-20 min)
Repeat until you get the toy.
If someone from another faction (PvE server) tries to steal your boss kill, and they get the first hit -
gets the loot but you get the reputation. Happened twice to me and twice to the person doing it to me.
Got the toy after 22nd loot
Am I just insanely unlucky? I'm currently at 32 kills....
The icon for this looks... inappropriate...
40+ kills so far. Got both BOE capes. No toy. Send help!
This guide assumes you've done all the story quests for this area and therefore have already unlocked the dailies. If you haven't, this guide will not work for you.
