This item is a minimal downgrade, or int-instead-of-spell tradeoff from Cloak of the Black Void (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24252#M0z)

chances are, if you did this many daily quests to get reveared, you would already have the cloak of the black void. If by chance you don't (for some reason they recipe has yet to drop on your server), go ahead and pick this one up if you haven't picked one up from raiding yet.

Although I'd recomend having Cloak of Entrophy over this, since the cloak (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31140) you will still keep hanging around for the occasional boss fight where spell resists need to be avoided, and your dps isn't as influential. There tends to be a few of them in the AH each week, so check back when you start leveling up in outlands from time to time, since they can be relatively cheap now adays.

This cape (and its agi counterpart) are rather useful for the Fires Over Skettis quests--in those unfortunate moments where the Monstrous Kaliri dazes you on the first hit, you can use this to save yourself a repair bill.

If you are using an add-on that switches out your regular gear with riding gear (like Titan Panel's Rider), this cloak is a decent addition for flying mount gear. Just drag it to an action bar and if you get dismounted while flying, hit this before you land. Remember not to panic...if you use this as soon as you get dismounted, you might still be in for a nasty landing. Use this shortly before you hit the ground, not way up in the air, since the slow fall effect only lasts 10 seconds.

it has a 30 sec. CD when you equpit it = you will die be4 you can use it... I've tried it out, so you have to have it on your riding "suit" and your normal one to be able to use it.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32538 and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32539 donot share CD. So far (In my knowledge) no new item have been added in wotlk that can do slowfall for non-priests and non-mages.

This is the perfect solution for all the classes that don't have any slow fall spell and aren't engineers.

Grella sells both Skyguard's Drape and kywitch's Drape. Both items DON'T SHARE THEIR CDS so you can have them in your backpack, as one is red and the other is blue to help you distinguish. The only prereq is being revered with sha'tari skyguards, if you are a lover of items that you know sometimes, even if it's only one time in a month, will help you to do things that normally you wouldn't be able to do with your class, well, this is one of those options.

A Good macro for this cloak is:

Because:
You can bind it to a key, quickly press it, when needed, and no more have to click in manually in your character view. It' often a life saver for escape situations in pvp and to survive falling from above.
It will correctly show your current cloak tooltip & symbol when you hover over it in your interface.
Upgrade safe, too, so you don't have to change your macros every time you get an upgraded cloak or equip another.

It would appear that this item has been removed from Grella's list of items. She only sells the Skyguard Drape now. I had the Skywitch's Drape, but accidentally sold it. When I went to buy a new one, it wasn't in the list of items.

As a Hunter, there is an alternative to all the mechanisms and spells you can use in-game to slow your fall.
By using 杂交野兽之书, you'll learn to tame 羽鬃追猎者. Those have a special ability called: 上升气流.
This gives you a slow-fall, without cooldown, for 30 sec.
The only drawback is that you can not steer/change direction after you jump.
