These mounts look like one of the floating Nether Rays found in Netherstorm. These are 280% speed flying mounts.
They come in blue, green, purple, red, and silver.
In order to get these nether rays, you must obtain exalted reputation with the Sha'tari Skyguard. The Sha'tari Skyguard are found in Shattrath city.
These mounts will actually be cheaper than the windriders because you can get honored with them making them 180g instead of 200, while you cannot do this with the regular windriders.
i would like a pic of their back pls! their faces r all the same :P
To be seriuos i reckon i might actually try n get this mount cos most ppl r gonna try n get the nether drake mounts so i dont wna be like everyone else, wud look stupid
The best place, as usual, for a detailed Rep guide is WoWWiki:
this kind of reminds me, if you've ever played shadow of the colossus or whatever. . . the big flying thing....
This is the best looking mount for a nether ray. It's also more affordable than a windrider, because there is a reputation decrease in cost unlike the windriders. If you are planning on getting a nether ray, this is the one to get.
In the Screenshots tab I submitted a shot of of a blue nether ray right next to a purple one. It can be hard to tell the difference between them. Blue one is on the left, purple one is on the right.

i wanna know how to get faster rep?
if you know tell me please, becurse i only can do the questes with cast bombs and save the guys life, and i'm honored?
wil there soon come more questes then this to?
i only get 450 rep on 1 day, that time i grind for netherdrage i get much more, and now i have it. if you know tell me please?
Is it just me or is the price of these things fluctuating? Prior to becoming exalted they listed for 200g. Once I became exalted they were 90g. Since 2.4 patch they're 160g. I'm positive about the 90g price quote because that's what I've been working toward since becoming exalted. Now that I have the 5k for riding lessons, the mounts have gone up 70g.
Price for this mount is 200 gold. No question about it.
However due to reputation reductions, it gets reduced.
Base Price (Neutral) - 200g
Friendly Reduction (5%) - 190g
Honored Reduction (10%) - 180g
Revered Reduction (15%) - 170g
Exalted Reduction (20%) - 160g
Now, you NEED to have Exalted to buy this mount, that is why some people say the BASE Price of the mount is 160g, but if it was then it would cost 128g.
This is a cool mount,
I like the green one better though,
At lvl 80 getting rep it a peace of cake :)
This is the way i done it:
Step 1. Done bombing daily.
Step 2. Done escort daily.
Step 3. (this is the most inportant, you need to do this for 1-2 hours for this to take action)kill allot of humanoids in skettis.
And after 2 days of doing that i got the nether ray! yay :D
hope it helped :)

where to get it i dont know where to get it
Is there a glitch when riding these mounts? I just got my first Neather Ray mount yesterday. When I ride the mount my character and mount are waaaaay below my screen, and when I'm on the ground my mount is really high off the ground. Has it always ben like this?
About how long does it take to go from Neutral/Friendly to Exalted?
Hmm. everybody is talking about camera problems, but am I the only one where the nether ray doesn't move when it flies? My character rocks back and forth like the ray was flying, but it just stays in a frozen poistion.
As of patch 4.1, the camera problems seem to be fixed.
I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not but the blue nether ray is at least 15% larger than all the other nether ray mounts. When I use the blue nether ray its huge and way off the ground. When I use any of the other nether rays theyre way smaller but still very far from the ground but not as high.
As of 4.2, the Blue Ray still positions the player character forward and facing down when on the ground. The character riding the mount appears to almost be horizontal at times. However, when in the air, the mount seems to be fine. As Anthera mentioned, since 4.1 there have been no camera problems.
The player positioning is not a camera problem. It's an oddity in the appearance of the character's orientation when the
Ray is on the ground.
Yep, mine is much larger then all the others too, i never noticed this till i decided to try a new color
this thing gets stuck everywhere its like im flying one huge square box
They appear to have dramatically nerfed the size of all the nether rays recently. It must have either been 5.4 or a hotfix in 5.4, because I just now noticed.
The color looks more like indigo, rather than blue.
The nether rays have the PERFECT range from the ground when farming ore or herbs. If you have ever gotten that "Can't do that while moving" message while trying to mine or herb, use this mount when farming and that will go away. Saves a lot of time when you plan to spend an hour or so gathering.
anyone else still wishing for sporebat mounts?
Here's the TL;DR version of my tips for getting the reputation required to buy this mount quickly and efficiently (I went from 0 neutral to Exalted in
three and a half hours
with this method):
Use a class with an instant, spammable aoe. (Mages, Discipline Priests, Guardian Druids, and Rogues are all excellent options)
Every little reputation gain bonus helps! If the darkmoon faire is going on, ride the carousel. If there is a holiday going on with a rep bonus buff, get it.
Threat from Above
, next to the Shattrath flightmaster), and continue until you get to
. Don't bother with any other quests.
Form a party! If there are people of the same faction as you in Skettis, invite them to a party. It's less competition for Terokk spawns, and you'll also get more rep as they kill things between Terokk summons! My reputation per minute almost doubled when I got another fast person to join a party. Just remember to set the loot rules to free-for-all, or you'll have wasted loot on mobs that're tagged for other people in your party to loot.
After finishing the
questline, begin to slaughter everything in sight- but be picky about what you focus on killing! Follow this priority order:
. Go out of your way to kill these whenever you see them.
. Whenever you come across a skull pile, summon a miniboss and kill everything around it until it becomes attackable, then kill it.
. This will make up the majority of the mobs you'll be slaughtering. Don't bother to focus on the shadowed arakkoas- all arakkoa are created equal, evidently, and give the same rep. You'll get more than enough time-lost scrolls to summon Terokk once every 15 minutes just by slaughtering everything.
. If you can kill one with the same attack you use to kill any of the above mobs, great. If not, don't bother to go out of your way to kill them- they can live to see another day, since they give only half the rep of the arakkoa, and no rep after revered.
Kill Terokk every time his skull pile spawns, but don't waste time sitting on his island waiting for it to spawn. Once he is killed, his skull pile spawns
precisely 15 minutes later
The blizzard UI clock under your minimap has a built-in stopwatch (click the clock, and press the "show stopwatch" button). If you start the stopwatch precisely when you see Terokk killed, you'll be able to know down to the second when he can be summoned again.
Only the person who summons him (and their party) gets credit (and rep!) for the kill, so get there 30 or so seconds early, and be ready to click fast if there are people camping him.
You'll be moving around too much to use your guild banner effectively while slaughtering everything, but its cooldown will be up for every time Terokk can be summoned. Be sure to use it every time!
Lastly, a friendly reminder not to derp like I did (repeatedly) and keep your
buff up, or you won't see any shadow Arakkoa, and be sure to have a
in your inventory before you try to summon Terokk, or the gnome who you're competing against to click faster will /lol at you when you lose the spawn. Good Hunting!
This kind of "classic scat" among all the colors that can be found only in the beginning of the path near the gate Cenarion Zangarmarsh.
Having tried all the colors except blue, and flying for a long time on each of them, I began to notice that something is missing...Driving this stingray after a long storage in the Outpost of my mountain, I was surprised how beautiful it really is. For each of the slopes I came up with their names, but for me personally blue Is "the stingray of the rainy bogs of Zangarmarsh" and it seems, warms the soul, because I'm a big fan ZAGORSKOGO area, I really feel like have won the trust of this incorruptible animal and straddled him.
The most beautiful thing is that his crystal on his forehead was the most striking, he seemed to cut through the darkness with his light among the dark thick mud of this world, really started to like it and I still shoot it, it became for me as a native, and most importantly, that almost no one uses it because of its "classicism", The only pity is that in normal flight standing, the developers slightly tilted it forward, and now its glowing belly is almost invisible, it is very bad for me, for Pandaria, when standing was all perfectly visible, but now you have to tilt the camera down and only then you will see. Blizzard developers, please fix this disease that you have created yourself.
