This is the ultimate quest reward for dagger-users that starts from this item:
As a rogue, I feel that speak for many saying that this dagger is a tremendous disappointment, especially when you consider that you go through four high-level 5-man instances and pay between 30-50g in materials (depending if you have skinning and/or an engineering friend) to get this. This quest chain could take some people weeks to complete, compared to a day that a quest chain in Shadowmoon Valley or the Netherstorm could take that ends simply with a 5-man encounter against a single elite.
It's few redeeming qualities is that it's the hardest-hitting quest-reward dagger in TBC as far as I'm aware, and you can possibly set up a macro so switch between it and your typical mainhand dagger if you're battling demons in your travels/instancing. But it's highly likely that you'll get something better in the instances that have the most demons (Arcatraz, Shadow Labyrinth)... namely, the Whispering Blade of Slaying and the Hungering Spineripper.
I'm sorry that this comment might come off so negative, but this is just my honest opinion of the dagger. Hopefully, in the future Blizzard may think to put +hit rating or +crit rating on this dagger to help make it more appealing to be used as a regular weapon. Otherwise, it's strictly demon orientation makes it very unappealing for general use.
I agree, as much as I like the daggers damage range and dps the lack of any real stats lets it down in a big way. Sure +93 AP against demons is nice but I'd much rather have some hard stats.
Wouldn't this be a nice dagger to equip while fighting Prince Malchezaar? With an elixir of demonslaying, rogues would get a great boost in their attackpower. This is merely a suggestion, as I haven't played rogue on lvl 70 yet.
I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but this dagger uses the model of sword, making it the Burning Crusade version of Wushoolay's Poker (
Hellloooo Rune Scimitar.
