Sure the 3200 mana would be nice in a battle, but over the period of 24 seconds? Usually you would only use a mana pot during a boss fight, so why would you want to wait 24 seconds to regen mana, when it comes at a cost of -25 damage/healing?

Yes, I seem to agree. Looks like a very worthless item.

It is alot better then it seems, at least in my opinion. Much like a weak innervate, 3200 mana over 24 seconds is a very nice boost, and anyone who has raided past BWL even knows that extra 200-300 mana can save raids.

The cost of -25 dmg/healing is extremely minimal for those geared enough to consider using a large amount of this potions.

The drawback won't make much of a difference for healers. What will really drive the use of this is the cost vs. Superior Mana Potions and how often you find yourself in raid situations that require you to chain chug mana potions. Also, this is a guaranteed 3200 mana return whereas a Superior Mana Potion could restore as little as 1800.

This potion is perfect for hunters since they do not need +dmg/heal but they DO need mana.

Several boss fights takes up to 10mins+ so 3200 mana over 24 secs is really good actually. And yeah, it's worth the debuff. I mean, rather -25dmg than no mana which again equals no dmg :p

The debuff is actually -25 dmg, -50 healing. The debuff does infact stack and you can't divine shield out of it.

Eclipse soldiers and centurions drop this, soldiers have a better dropchange according to Allakhazam. Pretty easy farm with flying mount, you can disregard all the nasty adds running around these soldiers.

This returns 4480 mana with Alchemist's Stone equiped. Almost 400 mana per tick. Send Shadowfiend on a boss, drink one of these and you get a full mana bar back in theory.

This was very easy to farm and along with the other two "Fel" recipes in Shadow Moon valley, took me about an hour total.

Took about 20-30 min of farming mobs for this, also managed to get 3x Arcane Tomes and about 20x Sunfury Signets from the mobs.

As every profession BoP pattern, you can roll for it, only if you have the corresponding profession.

We were doing 3 groups of 5, fighting our way to the quest The Battle of Crimson Watch (or whatever the name in SMV), and I was the only one that could roll on it, noone else had alchemy.

Overmore, you can have skill in the corresponding profession 1, and still be able to roll on BoP patterns.

The best place to farm for this recipe is the Eclipse Point in Shadowmoon Valley. Most of the mobs around there has a chance to drop this recipe. In addition, while farming there you have a chance to get other rare recipes such as the +15 arcane resist to cloak enchant from the Eclipsion Archamages.

Pretty high drop rate, obviously, but i didnt think it was that good. Was trying to get to a nightmare vine and this dropped. Gonna have to make some of these.

ive had to farm this for like 30 minuts before it finally dropped from an archmage..

it was easily farming them coz they die from 4 non crit lightning bolts..

Don't belive that dumb comments about drop rate of this. It is really close to 0.1%. I spend more that 12 hours of farming (4 days) mobs until get a drop.
While farming this i get like 170x Sunfury marks, 14 Arcane tomes and more that 20 greens. And countless ammount of cloth.

Fel Mana Potions are ideal for hunters of any spec, even chewing through mana with marks you still gain a fair bit back with this. It is especially beneficial for BM because of the average mana per second usage of 90-ish, this can give you back a lot more than the Super Mana Potion.

Dropped off an Elipsion Cavalier (54, 69) took me 10mins. I think I killed maybe 6 before it dropped.

This, like the other "Fel" recipes of SMV, drops in a moderate percentage. But the mobs are too close to each other and you should normally farm no more than 30 minutes to get this recipe.

The Drop Rate is not to be feared, I received mine after my sixth kill (which as a paladin took about 20 minutes, but that is neither here nor there).

Yep, drop rate sucks like most, but it did drop for me after probably fifteen kills and two deaths to the wandering elites.

Via chatlog timestamps, I can tell that it took me exactly 20 minutes to get this recipe on my lock (who isn't even dungeon geared, so no T6 here)

As of patch 5.04 this still drops off any of the Eclipsion's east of Sanctum of the Stars in Shadowmoon Valley, about 51,63. Took me about 20 minutes for one toon, 15 for another.
