probably the best tankadin libram you can get - debatable, of course but 15 badges is not a pain! Tome of the lightbringer is actually probably the BEST tankadin libram but hey- that's BT gear. =D

I'm not sure I believe that.
The guide you mentioned says:
To calculate your “crushability”, take your dodge, parry, and block percentages, round down to the nearest whole number (
the combat table ignores trailing decimals, rounding down instead of to the nearest integer
), and add the total to 5 ( for base chance to be missed). Mouse over your Defense skill. The tooltip will tell you how much your chance to be missed has been raised by defense (note that this value is against an at-level mob). Round down and add this to the earlier value. You’re looking for a total at or above 102.4% (to allow for the lowered chance to be missed by a 73). If you’re not there yet, that’s your top priority.
From a well respected thread on Elitist Jerks:
For the purposes of this chapter’s discussion we will only be talking about what happens when an NPC decides to attack a player. The rules change for players attacking a boss.
When an NPC attacks a player, a “1 dice roll” system is implemented. That means everything happens in a single random number generation, and all possible outcomes combine to form the many sides of this one dice.
We call this dice the hit table. The hit table has a maximum range of 100%. Anything that occurs beyond 100% is pushed “off the table.”
The order for pushing something off the hit table is:
Miss -> Dodge -> Parry -> Block -> Crushing Blow -> Critical Strikes -> Hit
Hit is the only variable on the dice. It will expand to fill any empty sides of the die so that there is always a 100% chance of something happening on each roll. The rest of these events have a fixed value based on stats, skills, or talents.
Remember that a sufficient amount of defense will remove critical strikes from the table.
The implications of this 1 dice roll means that if you had 50% dodge, and 50% parry you would not avoid 75% of the attacks in a serial or multiplicative manner, but rather you will avoid 100% of all attacks in an additive manner.
This also means that when you have 25% dodge, you will dodge 25% of your attacks. This does not mean that you will dodge 25% of some attacks. Because the dice is 1 roll, 1 throw, 25 sides of the 100 sided dice will be shaded as “dodge” (
in reality the die is probably 10,000 sides allowing for 2 points after the decimal in precision
).

Later in the guide it mentions that "bosses" negate .6% of your miss/dodge/parry/block, which is where the additional 2.4% that we are all so familiar with comes from.
If the game does indeed use a die larger than 100 sides, I don't see how the game could round down.
If the game rounded down, we would also need 103% miss/dodge/parry/block, wouldn't we?
I am more inclined to believe something that is supported by Elitist Jerks, those guys know their mechanics.

Instead of replacing the libram I Think it would be wiser to replace a def or dodge trinket first with a stam trinket. I think 51+ stam would be a larger upgrade for most pally tanks then the other availble tanking librams, though the shield block value trinket does look tempting.

Looking at both the trinkets and librams available around the gear progression level for this item, I would say that replacing avoidance trinkets in favor of stamina ones is more likely than replacing this libram.
Basically, once you get this, it looks like you'll be keeping it for a whiles.

To put this libram simply...
A tankadin with this libram only needs 67.1% avoidance in there stats, because 102.4-35.3(holy shield+the 5.3 bonus) =67.1% remaining avoidance needed...so, as most tanks are using an avoidance calc macro...67.1% is the magic number :)

This libram should not be used if you are assigned to trash tank because from my experience it went away in about 2-3 seconds use the concecration libram will help much more this should only be used to reach uncrushable.
I'm just saying this for paladins if they think of using this for trash tanking.
