That angers me because I passed on this when it dropped, as the cape I had was better, but now after the patch this one will be better =(

The +hit makes this a great choice for raiding DPS casters over the Shadow-Cloak of Dalaran, the Brute Cloak of the Ogre-Magi or the Shawl of Shifting Probabilities.

i just got http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34792 out of normal magister's terrace, put a veiled noble topaz in the slot and it has the same damage and only 1 less hit, great alternative for people that can't raid kara. It is lacking compared to stam and int though, and they have pretty much the same model too.

drop rate for this has to be incorrect. i've been raiding kara on my lock for about 2 months now...and this has NEVER dropped for me. it's actually the last thing i want from kara until i get the haste cape from ZA

It took about a year for my rogue friend to get the cloak from aran so shush. Random loot is random. ;)

And as for the cloak it surely is a very good one for a good while. I'll definately pick this up for my mage alt.

I'm convinced this item does not actually exist. I've killed prince at least 30 times, and never even seen it. 12.5% rate my foot, lol.

It's sort of late for this sort of comment to be useful =P

But for a raiding mage this was easily a best-in-slot item until you could get http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32331 from the similar named boss encounter.

Or http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33591 of course if you started raiding later in TBC's life cycle.
