The fact that these boots look nice (pretty rare when it comes to leather) is just a slap in the face. Going from The Master's Treads (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31288) to these, I gain 0.25% crit, 30 hp, 4 AP, and lose 1% hit, almost 2% dodge, and 1 stealth. Why is a level 68 blue BoE better then a Karazhan epic? Why does Moroes, the second boss in Karazhan, drop better rogue boots then Aran? How much reefer does Blizzard smoke on a daily basis?

These boots pretty much suck, they drop from Shade of Aran, the 5th/6th boss on Karazhan (depends if you kill first him or Terestian), and they are, by far, worse than Edgewalker Longboots (dropped by the 2nd boss Moroes).

If you put a Bright Living Ruby and a Rigid Dawnstone, the stats comparison would be:

Rapscallion Boots
219 Armor
+22 Stamina
+21 Crit rating (1%)
+76 Attack power

Edgewalker Longboots
219 Armor
+27 Agility
... +14 Crit rating (~0,67%)
... +22 Dodge rating (~1,2%)
+25 Stamina
+21 Hit rating (~1,3%)
+81 Attack power

So... why is Blizzard making this?

Yeah, these are a disappointment, aside from them looking great, they can't compare to Edgewalker Longboots. I have both, but will continue to wear the Longboots. GG Blizzard.

Depends on how you look at things, I picked these up (had http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28339#M0z) So I'm happy ! :P

Edgewalker's drop rate isn't too good, so meh, these are still fairly nice. Severely missing the Hit, but o well.

Until they decide to put sockets on these too, or decide to strip the crit a little and add agi and +hit -- these are terrible boots.

For a combat rogue, Master's Treads (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31288) and Felboar Hide Shoes (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30939) blow these away, which is truly sad. Problem is, this particular model is the only one that matches Netherblade Set. So in an aesthetic point of view, you're pretty much screwed.

Is Blizzard even aware of the huge flaw of this item?

If you can get your hands on the Edgewalker Longboots, they are much more useful. I myself have them with a +16 AP Gem and a +4 hit +4 agi Gem and they blow these out of the water.

They're actually pretty decent Enhancement shaman loot. :-P

Terrible for rogues, though, and even worse for feral druids. Blizzard seems to have this silly idea that leather-wearing classes want crit rating instead of agility.

Great Enhancement Shaman boots, because of the not wasted stat points on Agility, Intellect and Hit rating(which we don't need much from) For rogues this is a bad choice.

These are not, in fact, "Feral Druid/Enh shaman"-only boots. These are in fact the Rogue Tier 4 boots, but they will do well for any Agility class.

The graphic has been changed to get rid of the flaps around the top of the boot. Looks awful imo.

I take it that it's too late to change the floppy at the top of the boots back..

With the introduction of transmogrification I instantly wanted to wear T4 with the cursed vision of sargeras or Stealther's helmet of second sight, but can't really find some descent boots to match. And these look retarded since they got changed to the sock look. I truly hope they will get rid of the sock look totally at some point. It looks even worse on trolls without the top flop :(

I used 沉寂足垫 as a temporary tmog until I get these to drop. The pattern is from Ulduar 图样：沉寂足垫 and the 符文宝珠 can be purchased with Justice Points.

Yes, these HAD a different 3D model, these had some sort of flop and they did look bigger, now they just sucks and suck too.
