Mine dropped on my 3rd kill.. Don't feel bad though, on my Draenei I had to spend ~ hr looking and killing them for this bloody thing to drop.

It also dropped for me on my 3rd kill.. Found them close to each other, around the Spirit Fields in Nagrand(30,65)..

I got lucky and got this on my first kill. It's a terrible drop rate so don't count on getting this right away.

It seems the Aged Clefthoofs share spawn with the cyclones, so if you have trouble fining them kill some cyclones for a while and they should spawn.

I must have killed 50 of these guys before I got it to drop. I had a bunch of leather that I skinned when I was done. I got the other 2 items for this quest on the first kill and fifth.

Took me ~7 kills. Aged Clefthoof share a spawn with the Living Cyclones. When you can't find Aged Clefthoof, start killing the Living Cyclones, then you will see more Aged Clefthoof respawn.

The problem is the they are so hard to find..this quest took me 4 hours or more... and more then 40 kills >.<

Took me about 30 kills although, to start with I just went a round once in a while, but in the end, I started making laps around oshu'gun, killing the living cyclones, and the clefthoofs when I could find them, I also noticed that the clefthoofs spawned at exactly the same places as many of the cyclones. Also, I got around 2 primal of air while farming. Also, got quite many of those ivory horns for consortium reputation, and they sell quite good (I'm already friendly)

63 kills for mine, killed living cyclones and more popped - seem to share spawn.

This dropped on first kill for me, and it is a group item, meaning everyone can pick it up from the same mob if you do it in a group.

Apparently only every one out of twenty-four Clefthoofs has this miracle blubber in their body. Not to mention the total of about seven Aged Clefthoofs on the map in nagrand at most times.

The drop rate is definitely horrible. I got mine on the 9th Aged Clefthoof (which took nearly an hour). I'm not positive there is a cause-and-effect relationship here, but when I started killing the cyclones the appearance of aged clefthoofs definitely increased.

I went to all the places where the map function says the aged clefthooves are supposed to be on the map....NONE! WTF.

You've got to love blizzard's talent for being a pain in the ass.

EDIT: Well, kill number 7 million seemed to be the lucky number.

Took about 45min for me to get it, not worth it if you're there for the exp...

mine took a while, what i eventually did was stake out a place NW of the Mag'Hari Procession, where some Greater Windrocs had killed an Aged Clefthoof, I killed the Windrocs, killed the Living Cyclone that then spawned after a minute, next creature to spawn was Aged Clefthoof, it dropped item immediately.

All together took around 5 mins, hope this helps.

After spending hours in the area with the birds, I gave up and did some quests around the Spirit Fields - where I found several Aged Clefthoof and got my blubber in like 5 minutes.

Or I'm very lucky or it is just not difficult, because i had it in 1 time XD.
I saw Mount Gronn, but i saw such a big mob, and killed it, i took his tiems and there it was.

killed around 20-30 living cyclone's and still cant see aged clefthoof..... please help me :)
