Anyone know if this is broken. I just got it and casted over 200 spells without a single proc.
Works fine for me. Just got it about 2 hours ago, and it's proc'd at least four times since. It has the same animation as the Zandalarian Hero Charm.
The proc rate seems very low indeed.
Has anyone noticed if it takes account, whether you are using instant casting spells or spells with longer cast time?
The data says 10% chance
dropped on 2/15/07 for me
still appears to be bugged, no proc :'(
(edit: proc'd once in over 200+ more heals)
What's the point of +spirit when you're casting?. It seems worthless
Maybe I'm wrong but I watched closely the last 10 procs and it only proc'd from crits, I'll keep watching :)
ive been noticing it procs more. maybe its fixed. dunno
/confirmed 'proc on crits'
Buff is called "Juliet's Robe Spirit Buff"... Really imaginative there, Blizzard. Seems it does proc on crits, so I guess its either bugged or the description is wrong.
Ok Confirmed by a GM that this is on the list of items to be fixed for the next patch. I was not able to find out how it will be fixed. ie. Tooltip update (crap fix) or the proc sorted out (good fix).
Just passed on this as it is a downgrade to my socketed Hallowed Garments
. Yet another piece of Kara gear notably inferior to 5-man blues. The sheer loss of stats that I would incur alone is reason enough to keep my old gear, not to mention the disabling of my meta gem for lack of any socket.
Got this for my druid tonight from Karazhan, did some small testing (repeatedly casting out spells until OOM, regenerate and repeat) on how and on what does it proc.
I was able to proc it on Regrowth, but not on instants Lifebloom or Rejuvenation (with probably some 300 casts on those two, combined). Procs just on spells with casting time, or just with very low rate? More testing with those two spells to follow.
The proccing Regrowth was normal, not critical (almost sure of this). With critrate of ~50% on it, I would think the effect of crit on chance to proc either doesn't exist, or is negligible. More test on this later.
All in all, if the proc rate were higher, I would think this to be pretty good druid healing piece. Mainly for it's mana regen potential: say the proc rate were high enough to make you fairly certain that you have decent chance of a proc during average length boss fight, and could throw in Innervate to benefit from the +145 spirit.
The Bug where it can only proc on crits still exists in 2.0.12
New bug report thread:
As a Holy Priest with +35% healing from Spirit, this proc yields +50 healing. Thus I gain +132 healing from this robe for the duration of the proc, not to mention the regen I will gain from Meditation.
Proc is beign fixed in 2.1
Quoting this from the thread linked above:
"It's fixed. Problem now is that its 1 proc max per minute Instant casts, etc proc it, and the first proc comes rather quick, its just you can't get it again for a minute."
If this is true, then it'll average out to around 30 spirit over longer fights. The fact that its a whole lot of spirit for 15 seconds has its advantages and disadvantages; you can get unlucky with procs and not have it proc, but when you do get one you can use abilities, trinkets etc to maximise the mana you get back from the big boost in spirit. Assuming you don't cast for the entire duration of the proc, it will return around 270 mana to a priest or a druid, although obviously this isn't always going to be possible. All in all its a decent robe now that its been fixed - not great, but its an upgrade over the blue dungeon chest piece for priests and druids.
The current bug (as Hortus stated in the original thread on the official forums) is that it only procs off of crit-heals.
I expect this will be fixed in the upcoming 2.1.0-patch.
The proc rate on this was increased by a large amount. I am getting it about once a minute now
This robe is so incredibly LOL!
I just got it on my paladin for PvE healing, and boy, this mofo proccs on anything that launches the GCD!!!
I heal, it proccs
I change aura, it proccs
I create a bandage, it proccs
I laughed my ass of when it procced while i made bandages =P
I don't think this is a better all purpose robe (for healing priests) than Hallowed Garments with a good set of gems in there. I found that when the proc triggered, I was able to receive virtually the same mana regen back as I did from Hallowed passively, with the right gems.
However, this does come very much in handy for certain fights where you need a nice stam boost; Aran comes to mind. It can be tough for a healing priest to break 7K hp, even with epics. This robe can be one of the pieces that let you survive the pyroblast, without too much cost to your other stats.
What about combinig this chest with Bangle of Endless Blessings (
When using trinket is better - on trink's proc or on chest's proc?
Does this have some sort of internal cooldown, like the Bangle of Endless Blessings does?
I'd probably use this for Gruul and other +sta dependant encounters, and PMC robe (
) for everything else since it's more superior in terms of +heal and +mana regen.
Is this worth giving up 9 mp5? (hallowed chest, relatively the same stats)
Remember that the proc on this robe is not only a mana regen proc. The best thing about this proc is that it benefits you whether you are casting or not. If you keep casting, it's a sizeable +healing buff with a little mp5. If you can stop casting while it's up, it's a larger amount of regen. It's more flexible than say a spell haste proc that would only benefit you if you cast as much as possible.
As priest, I can just recommend this for long boss fights with multiple healers (10+ ppl), to use this robe together with the Bangle of Endless Blessings (
) and Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon (
). You certainly lose an amount of +heal but have a lot more mana to your disposal. Especially when carefully used with clearcasts and Inner Focus.
as of 2.4 i can get about 54 MP5 with spirit of redemption and 3 points into meditation. i also get about 45 bonus healing from spiritual guidance.
I did a heroic with a shaman healer wearing this yesterday. It kinda annoyed as my main is a priest and this seems to be an item mostly aimed at holy priests or am I mistaken?
The proc is at least
Give 145 spirit = 160 mp5 while not casting as listed above and that you spend 70% of your time casting (assumed high since cast-heavy fights are the only time regen matters), each proc gives 1.05* = 86 mp5 on average for the duration. Since the proc is 15 seconds, each proc gives 86*3 = 258 mana per proc. Assuming a proc rate of once per minute which seems generous if the internal cooldown is 30 seconds as listed above, this gives (258/12) mana / 5 seconds = 21.5 mp5. Of course Blessing of Kings would make this a bit more than 10% better.
At one proc/minute, the buff would be up 25% of the time. With 5/5 Spiritual Guidance, Imp DS, Spirit of Redemption, and Blessing of Kings, 145 points of spirit gives 145*1.15*35% = 58 +heal, giving 58*0.25 = 15 +heal on average.
With 25% uptime, this gown effectively has at least 145*25% = 36 spirit on it. Compared to the Gown of Spiritual Wonder, this has -14 spirit, -2 sta, -3 int, -30 +heal, and -1 socket. Not shabby at all since the Gown is comparable to Kael'Thas's loot.
This buff can proc off of anything. This includes bubbles, buffs, heals, anything that uses mana.
The spell on the gown is called
, which wowhead indicates has a 10% proc rate. When it does proc, you gain
. Very fitting considering who drops it :)
any one know of any good gear that matches this gown?
Anyone know if this still drops? I've been at it for over a month now, and it's twin from Nightbane. No luck.
