Purchased for 3750 Arena Points
It looks terrible...
Why is is that Blizz hates me so much? I hate PvP. There is nothing worse on aliance than pvp. Everyone is dumb and acts like they are gods (even though they suck).
Why is it that the best mace only comes from PvP? Why is the PvP item better than any of the raid items? This is dumb. imho
Okay, I overlooked
This mace is just sick for feral druids, and I could easily see my balance friend picking it up (assuming he has the points) for "wanding" back mana as a moonkin (melee for mana ftw.)
It has amazing stats, and great equip bonuses. The only thing that could make this better would be a proc off the equip type, something like the Maelstrom darkmoon card, or heart of wyrmthalak that will proc when shifted. ty Blizz!
Honestly if your friend has that type of arena points he may want to pick up this staff.
Another side note the cap on arena points is no more than 2894 points per week. Even to get this you need an very large team rating per week to accomplish. I would estimate 3 weeks of pvping to get these 2h items.
Assuming a Feral Druid with 3/3 in Survival of the Fittest, this weapon gives (With a +35 agility enchant) 769 Attack Power in Cat Form, the highest available.
For a full feral druid (with 5/5 Heart of the Wild) this gives 730.8 Attack Power without any enchants. That's over 60AP more than Terestian's Stranglestaff. Not to mention this has tons of crit, hit, stamina and resilience. There is no better weapon in the game for a feral druid.
I'm thinking of adding an iron counter weight to it, because I'm a PvP melee moonkin..
It may or may not be more effective depending on how much AP i get from my leather.. But at least im getting more bang for my buck =P
Unfortunately this buff would have no benefit for a feral druid. (although some months ago it did)
Updated stats from PTR:
+32 Strength (unchanged)
+48 Stamina (unchanged)
Equip: Improves hit rating by 20.
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 35.
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 28.
Equip: Increases attack power by 697 in Cat, Bear, Dire Bear, and Moonkin forms only.
Yields about 776 AP (with SotF and HotW), 1.58% crit, 1.26% hit, 0.71% resilience. Looks like it's not really an upgrade from Terestian's Stranglestaff anymore, instead they're about the same but balanced for pvp vs. pve.
The price on this mace is as all the other currently 2H arena weapons getting lowered to 3261 arena points in the coming 2.1.2 patch
That's the arena season _TWO_ mace, not this mace.
Is this being replaced by the Merciless Gladiator's Maul?
As it seems, this weapon is getting buffed on Patch 2.3,but gladiator's sets get nerf, cannot combine 2sets to get more resilience any more...
Comparing to the
+37 Agi (+1,48% crit)
Hit rating 25
+829 AP (+942AP considering str and agi, +1036 with HotW)
hit rating 20
critical strike rating 35 (+1.59% crit).
resilience rating 28
+894 AP (+958AP considering str and agi, +1053 with HotW )
So Gladiator have:
-5 hit rating
+0,11% crit chance
+28 resilience rating (+0,71% resilience)
Of course agility on Terestian gives also a dodge chance, but it is rather not important stat on raids (and only a little in solo grind) except for Bear Form, in which you will use Earthwarden anyway.
With Blessing of Kings and Survival of the Fittest this stats will be even more closer to each other.
So I would say its worth grinding Honor and marks for this weapon even for PvE if your guild is still not raiding Kara (or just cannot take the boss which drop this staff).
I'm curious if a Mongoose enchant would actually proc while in Beast or Moonkin forms.Seems that would be the very best enchant for feral druid, if it even works.
This mace rocks for PVP*
Very Nice Bear/Cat Dps Weapon
Look so cool, like there is savegry on it! ;D
Currently using this as transmog till i get
for my warrior:
19 - 25点伤害
