Used in the encounter of Archimonde in Mount Hyjal.
This item is obtained from Tyrande Whisperwind in the night elf encampment and is reusable. It has a 10s cooldown and persists as long as you don't leave the instance. It will not disappear if you run back from the graveyard. Use this item on your descent after being affected by Archimonde's Air Burst ability.
You can actually keep these and use them anywhere in Azeroth! Just go in, get the tears and die. Now have someone take your spot in the raid, so there are already 25 in the zone. Now try to zone in to rez. You'll be outside, but still have your tears!
These now have a 2 hour duration.
Possible bug: Using the shaman talent
will prevent this item from being used until the Elemental Mastery buff is discharged. While the Elemental Mastery buff is active, the tears are grayed out and cannot be activated. Tested by my wife (70 shaman) in patch 2.4.2.
Note: if you get rezzed on the field, your tears of the goddesswill disappear from inventory
These are the conditions for keeping/losing your tears if you wipe on archi.
Die + No Relase + Rez = Tears kept
Die + Release + Run Back = Tears Kept
Die + Release + Rez = Tears LOST
Weve had VERY fast wipes due to people not remembering these 3 simple things (ESPECIALLY #3)
Has anyone noticed a buff to the duration of the fall speed reduction on this since patch 3.0.2? I saw it lasting much longer than normal this past week.
Is it possible to use Slow Fall as mage?
A shaman that has
active, will not be able to use the tears.
It was only after a shaman swore up and down that they "couldn't click the button" as they cratered, and some heavy investigative work, that we determined this. Don't put your shamans through the same thing.
Hunters can disengage just before hitting the ground. I have done this myself the last two times running as last week the loot was all messed up and we couldn't get our tears and this week someone face-pulled and got all the NPCs killed before we all had our tears.
I imagine that warriors can heroic leap, mages can blink, locks can teleport etc. Just make sure that the ability you are using (if you don't have a tear) is a short enough cooldown that you will be able to use it if you get targeted for that ability twice in a row.
Don't use your Tears of Goddess to soon...because you can still hit the ground very hard and cause significant damage. use about half way down to prevent this.
Since among BfA's many
is miserable angst about whether Elune was able to help the Night Elves during the Burning of Teldrassil is the joke that the Tears of the Goddess are the answers? That one time She did something and it was a Slow Fall token? Was
what the NElves were expecting?
