Even though it is a consumable, this works like an enchantment, not a potion.
This seems like a paltry improvement over Mystic Spellthread (
Only grants +2 more spell damage, and +3 more stamina, at the cost of a primal nether???!!! That is a very steep increase in cost for not much return.
Other "upgrades" on "crafted enchants" are low as well, and require a nether... This is done in order not to see the market populated by those in a blink of an eye.
This is totally overpriced for the 2dmg/3sta improvment.
I hope Blizzard will change something or no one is gonna use these and everyone will stick to mystic spellthread.
Tooltip reads "35 dmg und 20 stam" on live already, but is still only "2 dmg and 3 stam" upgrade in practical use.
Just put it on my pants, damage went from 1145 to 1147 and Health from 9198 to 9239 (Warlock).
I have +spellpower to weapon enchant on my mace, and on my copied toon on PTR it changed from just doing damage to doing damage and healing. So I think it's a safe assumption Xiron that your enchant will be updated. Patch notes say that spellpower enchants will change to damage/healing, but i wonder if that includes this one. Can anyone confirm if this one will change too?
Lol... is it possible to put this on twinks, just like the Clefthide Leg Armor?
It doesn't have a level req. So I would assume it's possible.
Posting in Epic Thread!
Pattern (from WoWWiki):
This item is a reputation reward; you must be exalted with The Scryers to purchase it for 36 gold from Quartermaster Enuril <Scryers: Quartermaster> in Shattrath City.
NPC Coords: 60, 64 (Shattrath)
This is the best enchant you can get as a caster for your pants in the game in Burning Crusade. It is about 200G in mats more than the "weaker" version, but worth it if you have a good pair of pants.
Can these still be uses on low lvl items say a 19 twinks gear.
Just applied on
for my twink, so yes, they can :)
Primal Nether is now BoE. Which means that the cost for this enchant is significantly lower. Just run a heroic or go on the AH. Plus you can spend 10 badges of Justice to get one. Getting 10 Primal Mana is a joke. I see no reason why you'd ever take the lesser spellthread.
A level 60+ character can apply this to any leg item of any item level, it does however not function like an enchant and can only be applied to items that are in your inventory. Back to your question, yes you can get these on a BoE pair legs for that level if you find a level 60+ to apply it.
The motes of mana can be farmed in Netherstorm, the Primal Nether drops off bosses or can be bought from
Just a quick note (as of 3.0.2), other than being able to be made by Aldor Tailors with a different set of materials, there is NO difference between these and the Golden Spellthread.
Question. Can these still be used for twinks (lvl 60+ applies them to boe item) after wotlk launch?
Asking this because some Wotlk items to enchant legs seem to have the restriction: "Only on your own items and they make the item soulbound)
This does not bind the item to you. So twink away!
ok good because people are telling me that they make the Legs go "soulbound" but ty for that info.
I have a pair of leggings on my warlock twink with this enchant on it, all it says now is that i need to be level 60 to benifit from the enchant.
So not only have blizzard made it impossible for someone under level 60 to use the pants with this enchant, but they have also made them unable to even get them since it makes them soulbound.
aka: no more twink leg enchant :(
Edit: Even the good old 100 hp enchant from pre-tbc requires level 50 now
