This is one of the best Warrior Yellow Gems, it gives +8 hit rating, which is quite a lot. As a Rogue you could also consider taking these if you're a bit low on +hit.
You need a Dawnstone for this one, which is around 40-70G, depending on your server. The blueprint to make this one is a random drop from mobs, I've seen in on AH for prices between 15-300G.

is it more worthwhile to get these than the crit rating? I have a warrior myself with DT, my hit rating is aound 50 and my cs is at about 23%

also for an enhancement shaman, 1hit>3crit because WF missing is werry destructive to your DPS.
a WF is worth alot more than a crit.

Thus, increasing your hit rating will increase your overall damage dealt at a faster rate than that of increasing your crit rating.
To reduce your chance to miss against a lvl 70 Player or mob from 5.00% to 0.00% with a single weapon, you would need 78.75 Hit Rating. (This assumes that attacking player recieves no additonal + Hit Chance from racial properties, class abilities or talents. This also assumes that the defending player has no extra defense rating, which decreases your chance to hit).
However, dual-weilding one handed weapons
increases your chance to miss by
19.00%
. To make up for that difference and to never miss an auto-attack, you would need an additional 299.25 Hit Rating increase.
Therefore,
to never miss an attack against a 70 target while dual wielding
, you would need
378 Hit Rating
. Further more, since attacking a lvl 73 or Boss mob further increases your chance to miss by 4.00%, you would need 441 Hit Rating to never miss against a Boss.

You can't crit what you can't hit.
Not only is this completely false, but the fact that it is rated so high is alarming. The fact of the matter is that say, 25% crit means that exactly 25% of your attacks will crit. Not 25% of the attacks that land, as you said, but 25% of all attacks. Then, after factoring in dodge, parry, and miss chances, the remaining attacks will then hit the boss. Hit simply decreases the chance you will miss the boss; it has no effect whatsoever on your crit chance.
Hit itself will also never be pushed off the attack table as long as your crit chance plus the chance to be dodged and parried is less than 100%; ie you could never amass enough crit chance that it would eliminate hit from the combat table. For any warrior past the hit cap on specials, arms or fury, this gem is
always
the wrong choice to socket with. For arms warriors, it will be wasted; for fury warriors, hit only affects your white damage, making it suboptimal in reference to stats like ArP, Str, and Crit.
