Some of the first leatherworking items you make, note these cannot be applied to starter boots. They override all enchantments, so make sure that you don't waste enchants applying one of these.
do you need leatherworking in order to apply an armor kit to armor? Or can anyone by a kit and apply it to their armor?
In other words, can a leatherworker just dump armor kits on the AH, or does he need to sell the service of applying them to armor as well?
Armor kits can be transferred and applied without requiring Leatherworking.
How do you apply the armor kit? Is it active just by carrying it?

Heavy Knothide Armor Kit
and above sadly, which has a level requirement, unlike this one.
how do u use this with the armor i do not get how it works or is it only when u get higher levels
This item is or NO value.
I did a test after getting to level 20 and getting my leatherworking to 150. I made a heavy, and 3 medium armor kits. I had a stack of light armor kits. My combined armor was 51. I applied light armor kits to all 4 piece. Armor still at 51. Added heavy to the gloves, 52. Added medium to the pants, 53. Medium to the chest, 54. Medium to the boots, 55.
Results of tests: Heavy and medium armor kits function the same (unless this changes based on the item level or character level)
Light armor kits do nothing (again item/character level may have an effect, I'm too new), at least at the level it would be reasonable to use them.
