Only 7 extra damage? Forgive me my ignorance by why would this be worth it to buy? Other than for chant collectors that just have to have all enchants possible.

Hehe, it seems like people always like big numbers but they are too lazy to make calculations. Let's compare this with mongoose or crusader for rogues. The latter enchants usually have 1ppm to increase stats by 120/100 ~= 7-9 more dps or about 15 more weapon damage. So what will you choose: an enchant that works 1/4 of the time that gives 15 more dmg or the one that works all the time for 7 dmg?

In other words 7 weapon damage translates into: 7/(weapon speed) dps. This enchant is made for daggers, it adds 7 / 1.8 = 3.88 dps that is the equivalent of 3.88 * 14 = 54.44 static increase in attack power. The only difference is that it will affect only weapon hitting abilities like SS, Mutilate, Hemo but not eviscerate, rupture or garrote.
