This is the successor to runecloth in all professions. I can't even begin to count how many stacks I have of this piled up in my bank. It dropped so often in Hellfire that I was able to grind up to 375 First Aid at level 60.

Netherweave is used in all 300+ tailoring recipies, and you need minimum 2500 cloth to get to 375 skill in tailoring.

If you need to farm this the best spot for me so far has been Bladespire Hold in Blade's Edge Mountains (41, 54). The drop rate from the Ogres isn't too bad and they respawn rather quick. Just keep an eye open for the many patroling raptors.

If you aren't in Blades Edge or Shadowmoon yet, or grinding for Kurenai/Mag'har rep. If you pair it up with quests, like 'Obsidian Warbeads', 'More Obsidian Warbeads' 'Northern Cleft of Nagrand' or 'Corki's Been Kidnapped Again!' you should feel the love - The Ogres in the Northern Cleft (Cleft North of Halaa) Drop this and have a quick respawn rate, got 2 stacks in less than a half hour.

Manaforge B'narr in netherstorm is one of the best places to farm this, especially if your looking to grind scryer rep items, As a fire mage I farmed about 7 stacks of netherweave and 60 sunfury signets in one hour, also a couple random greens and arcane tomes.
Like the guy above me said, don't expect to get that much in an hour if your something like a prot warrior, usually mages and other burst damage casters have an advantage in farming becasuse we kill at a much faster rate
The drop rate of this cloth has also been significantly buffed in the 2.1 patch, you should notice that the mobs usually drop 2-3 per MUCH MORE often than before

Edit
: thanks anarchitect, while blizzard fixed the heavy bandage vendor price, they changed it to fit the same profit that the normal bandages vendored for.
20 netherweave cloth vendors for 1.6g
10
heavy
netherweave bandages vendor for 3g (
edit
: not regular bandages)
If you ever want to sell stacks of netherweave, either sell them for more than 3g or make the heavy bandages to vendor them.

A great place for this stuff is the Crystal Flayers in Singing Ridge to the south of Death's Door in Blade's Edge Mountains. They're far enough apart for some fairly casual grinding and drop at least as much Netherweave Cloth as the Sunfury Magisters. (According to Wowhead figures it's more than twice as much :) Remarkably the Flayers have pockets for rogues to pick as well.

I find it very good and easy to kill the Blood Elves that are fighting eachother outside the black temple. Up to the right as you are going up the path, they get to about half HP, attack them both and kill very easily, even with level 70 mobs, good drop rates on signets tomes and cloth = ) Hope this helps.
BTW: 68,50 ish with co ords for these mobs.

I like to grind Netherweave Cloth at The Heap in Netherstorm, just south of Area 52.
The ethereals there also drop zaxxis insignias for consortium rep. They're squishy and die fast and drop lots of cloth. If you've done certain quests you can also get consortium keys, which you can sell for a fortune.

Voidspawns around Oshu'gun in Nagrand are great to farm on. They drop Oshu'gun crystal powder, Motes of Shadow, LOTS of greens, the occassional blue from a rare spawn around there, and 2-4 Netherweave Cloth.
This is where I farm since I'm a shadowcloth tailor and I need the Primal Shadow anyways. Average loot every hour is about 24 Crystal Power, 62 Netherweave Cloth, 37 Motes of Shadow, 10 Greens.

They drop signets, tomes, cloth and if you are an enchanter they drop the +30 int to weapon enchant. (

I was looking for a good spot to grind Netherweave, and after reading the comments here, and tried out a few spots. After seeing most of the spots mentioned already taken, I took a look at Legion Hold in Shadowmood Valley, and I would definately recommend this spot! The drop rates on Netherweave Cloth, Marks of Sargeras, and Fel Armaments are all excellent. After just over 2 hours of farming I had 224 Netherweave, 40 Marks of Sargeras and 5 Fel Armaments. Coords of the spot I was at (21,35), killing all of the demons in the surrounding area. On a map:

It uses A lot of arcane dust, but beats farming the cloth. Also Beats farming Netherweb Spider Silk.
Would not suggest making the robe, It begins to not be worth all the materials to mass produce; It's stats are:

+50 Arcane Resistance
Restores 9 mana per 5 sec.
156 Armor

After trying several farming spots, I conclude that Manaforge Bnaar just west of Area 52 in Netherstorm is the best place in drop percentage. The new Isle of Quel'Danas zone is fantastic for farming Netherweave. Most of the mobs have relatively low HP and drop truckloads of this stuff. I've made about 40 bolts the past week just from doing dailies.
If you're really lazy, the ogres in Barrier Hills are right next to Shattrath and drop Netherweave fairly often.

To keep track of how many you have while farming, you can use a simple macro:
#showtooltip Netherweave Cloth
and put on your spellbar. (looks like reagent count)
This can be done with almost any other item or spell, although clicking the button won't make the spell activate.

There is an ongoing discussion on WoW Economist regarding the price of Netherweave Cloth after WOTLK comes out.
Depending on your server, Runecloth goes for 5 to 15 gold while Netherweave Cloth sells less for than 3g a stack. Note that it can be converted to Heavy Netherweave Bandage , which vendors for 3g (Source: WoW Economist).
There are several factors that will influence the price of Netherweave Cloth on existing realms:
* Frostweave Bandage requires a First Aid skill of 350. In BC we had to make Heavy Runecloth Bandage to reach First Aid 330 and learn Netherweave Bandage. Since Heavy Netherweave Bandage is grey at 375, it will be useless for level 70s.
* Death Knights start with First Aid 270. They will only need Netherweave Cloth to level First Aid from 330 to 350, and plenty of it drops in Outland when leveling.
* Netherweave Cloth, in contrast to Runecloth (Quest: Additional Runecloth), isn't used as a reputation turn-in.
To summarize I doubt that there will be enough demand to quadruple the price of Netherweave Cloth.

As a L80 Shadow Priest, I'm currrently power-levelling tailoring from scratch. I'm using the exact method used for the Netherwing daily 'The Not So Friendly Skies'.
Basically, stand next to the platform from which the Dragonmaw Transporters land and take off, and tag each as they arrive / leave. The cloth drops at a steady rate, and you never have to move from that spot, the Transporters just keep coming every few seconds, providing a free Smörgåsbord for cloth farmers with minimal effort and no running around. As an added bonus, those with Netherwing rep can do the quest at the same time.

I agree the blood elves at the ruins of karabor r the best place 2 farm this stuff 1 they r close together making it easy 2 do mass AOE pulls plus they drop sunfury signets that if ur a scryer cn turn in fr rep or sell it on the AH if ur aldor. At lvl 80 i cn do this solo with about 15 mobs per pull but at 70 as a mage i'm recomend a tank 2 help u. also the kill rate is so fast that a powerlvling DK will prolly pay u 2 massacre these mobs while he is in ur group cuz they r so crouded

The best place I found for Netherweave Cloth(as a Protection Paladin) was the Ruins of Karabor and Ata'mal Terrace in Shadowmoon(by the Black Temple). There's three major pulls you can do at the Blood Elves:
First
is where the initiates/supplicants are all bunched up. Grab all of fighting pairs and AoE them down.
Second
is all of the mobs from after that point, and all the way up to the banished demon.
Third
is after the demon, there's two small packs by the female Demon Huntress you can grab(total of 5 mobs), and then run up the stairs to the rest of the trainees.
EDIT: It's possible to combine the Second and Third pull, although it results in a very high chance of the caster mobs evading, and you'll most likely have Spell Breaker up constantly once you stop to AoE them(75% less spell damage)
By the time you've killed all of those, the first ones should start respawning. However, I would usually have to wait 2 minutes or so for the all of the mobs at the first place to spawn, so I simply mounted my drake and went to the ramp where the Fel Orcs are to the north. I grabbed all of the mobs on the hill leading towards the Terrace, a few of the ones by the blacksmith, the ones on the stairs(only the ones standing on it, not any further), then ran back and all the way around the edge.
By the time I had finished pulling I was at about 30% health(running with my back towards them and only using Sacred Shield), and had a ton of orcs on me. I killed them, and then headed back to the elves. Rinse and repeat for profit
EDIT: Note that I was using Seal/Judgement of Light, so health wasn't an issue once I had finished pulling.
I was at 35% passive chance to block, 28k health and 552 defense, and it took me about an hour to get the 37 stacks of Netherweave I needed for my tailor

I have found a pretty good spot to farm netherweave, its in the bottom right hand corner of Blade's Edge Mountains. Two areas, Vekhaar Stand and Trogma's Claim. The humanoids in these two areas drop nothing else besides netherweave and they drop between 1-4 pieces of the cloth. Once in a while they will drop some gray items, food items and some money, but I started farming in the area and within 15-20 minutes already have 3 stacks in my bags. I would suggest this area to anyone who needs to farm for netherweave. The cloth has an 80-85% chance of dropping, so yes I would highly recommend the area. Oh yeah, by the way the humanoids in the area have a pretty fast respawn rate too.

While working on rep for my nether ray mount I found the netherweave drop rate to be great in Skettis. I used one potion to let me see the ghosts, and that lasted for 20 minutes. When it was done, I had just over 8 stacks of netherweave. That makes it around 480 netherweave cloth per hour, which seems pretty good to me. Just make sure you have lots of bag space. There isn't a mailbox too close, but there are a few vendors at the Sha'tari camp nearby. (85 Hunter)

I needed Netherweave Cloth. So I went out in search for a spot an 85 Blood Death knight could easily solo and wasn't going to bore me to death. I decided that I liked the instance Mana Tombs the quickest. About 4-5 stacks per run. Mana Tombs seemed the easiest of them all. Plus there is a vendor outside to sell your vendor fodder between each run.
Other places that are decent are:
Auchenai Crypts
Shadow Labs
Seth Halls
Magister's Terrace : Can farm for non combat pet or mount in heroic also
Blood Furnace
All of which had about the same amount drop. With varying difficulties. I also got the achievements I had been missing for these. I just did the BC rounds basically! I hope it's enough cloth to get me to Frostweave!
Edit: More info

If you find yourself with a large supply of these the two best ways of offloading them for a profit tend to be:
Netherweave Bracers
/
Netherweave Belt
- Craft and then disenchant
Netherweave Bag
- Craft and sell on the auction house
The bags sell excellently to levelling characters while the enchanting mats are used for a large number of levelling enchants.
Failing both of those make
Heavy Netherweave Bandage
and sell them to a vendor.

By far the best place I found to farm Netherweave Cloth, hands down would be The Botanica.
This place is farmed everyday be hacking companies for gold. Have done quite a few tests in here and have found this place to just be overloaded not only with cloth but gold.
I stumbled onto this after my account was hacked a few months ago (haven't played wow since christmas). I logged onto my warrior and found stacks upon stacks of cloth in there.
First test I did was running this place on my boomkin (6k gs, average 25m Icc gears). The runs would take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending how much I pulled. I was on an average of 5 stacks every half hour when the drops wee being kind, otherwise its usually 2-3 cloth per mob when they drop.
Not only that botanica is a great place to farm gold and rep. From a few hours in there I think I farmed close to 3.5k gold? Not sure on the numbers but it was around that mark.
High drop chance of greens, vendor grays and high money drops makes this place a great little farm zone. Its not really talked about much I have found which is why it makes it perfect. If netherweave is overpriced on your server (anything over 4g a stack is overpriced imo) farm the crap out of this place and flood the market to bully the comp.
For farming this place I would highly suggest taking a very good aoe class in there that can at least bug out or heal quickly. You can wipe very easy even though its a lowbie instance. If your a caster or a boomkin like me, watch out for the silences every now and then and also the spell reflects that happen on certain mobs.
Melee classes should be great at this. Mainly plate classes. If you go /who Botanica you will usually see a DK/Warrior/Paladin or Druid in there *Feral druid more than likely*. These are 9/10 hackers exploiting the great drops (nothing illegal about farming Bot its just great for gold)
Being a little rusty I can't give you perfect tips on the quickest way to farm, sorry guys but like any instance, same rules apply. Pull what you can handle and go at your own pace.
For other places to farm Netherweave I suggest all BC instance heroics due to the high drop %% from the humanoids in all of them.
But when you are farming the Botanica. Clear your bags as much as you can, if you have a mount with a vendor like my druid has it makes farming all that more faster and more gold efficient. Once I get back on wow at the end of the month I can give you exact number averages on cloth and gold per run :) Well thats all the info I have on this I hope it helps some.

I have just run the Botanica and Blood Furnace. This is based on one run of each, so take it for what it is worth.
BF is a clear winner. the mobs are about 10 levels lower, and drops are about the same. About 3.5 stacks of netherweave in either case, and not much difference in net gold from other drops. BF is more efficient use of time, although I think you may not be able to run 5 times/hr unless you really push it.
BTW I ran it with an 85 arcane mage. AoE is great tool, and a lot of the mobs are one-shots if you feel so inclined.
I just ran BF again. I am not the fastest mover; my run took 25 minutes. That's the bad news. The good news is this time I came out with 5 stacks +2 netherweave. I farm to level tailoring on an alt. I will be returning here again.
Oh, and for those who are not mages and may not know this, there is a portal to the blasted lands in the mage tower in Stormwind. It makes getting there pretty easy.

Reading the above comments, it seems that both the Botanica and the Blood Furnace are good places to farm Netherweave Cloth. I found the Blood Furnace to be more appealing as it is closer to you when you enter Outland, and it's easier, hence faster, to run through.
As a Feral Druid one full clear took me 12 minutes and 21 seconds, including the last room where you won't loot any cloth. The entire run ended in 94 Netherweave Cloth. 7.611336 cloths / minute.
Know how much I was capable of taking in one go and just doing everything in a quicker pace, made me finish the second run at 11 minutes and 8 seconds. I ended up with 93 Netherweave Cloth, which is 8.3532934 cloths / minute.
The conclusion is that even if the Blood Furnace shouldn't be the best farming place for Netherweave Cloth, it will still give you a more than sufficient amount of cloths per time unit.

Yeah most of the outland instances are fast farmers of Netherweave, I just seemed to have more luck in Bot for drops for some reason, which doesn't mean the others are bad. I'm trying to get back on to wow this week (finances pending) and when I do I shall be putting an in depth drop table up on here for an average run of all BC Instances, will more than likely only do normal mode runs due to the speed in which they are solo'd, heroics can be a 50/50 even if your 80 and 85 as you can always have that 1 crap pull that can slow farming down.

I'm going to start power leveling up tailor soon on my Lock so have been farming the mats before I drop Herb, I'm finding Karazhan to be a really good farming spot for Netherweave, I skip all the bosses just killing all the trash up to the audience of Opera, they die really quickly to an 85 and take longer to loot than kill, they drop a decent amount of greens, the odd epic and a decent amount of gold (when added together).
Best of all they are on a 30 min soft reset if you leave the instance, so I tend to HS empty my bags, go check the AH, get a drink...etc, and by the time I have traveled back they have all respawned. Each run takes about 15 mins and I wasn't exactly rushing, I did 4 runs last night got 600 cloth and made about 700g from the money the mobs drop and loot.

And it only takes around 10 minutes to do a "run" each place as a lvl 84 Frost Death Knight.

The mobs in here do a very irritating knockdown, so bad RNG could easily get a lesser geared clothie killed (my ilvl is around 380). On a tank or non-cast time class this could probably go much faster. Happy hunting!

This is mainly what I get as a byproduct of farming in BC areas. I sell it in bulk for pretty cheap over trade chat now and then. Got 188 of this atm I'm about to get rid of. Nice bonus cash to supplement whatever else I find.

Greetings fellow Azerothians!
Pardon my laziness, as I did not care to search through the numersous comments on this particular material to see if anyone mentioned Old Hillsbrad Foothills as a great place to find this.
I have ran it once so far on my 85 Belf Lock, solo. Easy, fast, and I was able to collect enough to make 20 bolts. I killed 90% of mobs and looted every one of them!
Just going for rep, but this cloth was there begging me to take it to a better place where it may be able to help someone fulfill their dreams of tailoring the most elegant peices known to Belfkind <333 (I love my horde brothers and sisters).
Happy Hunting Azerothians!
Cheers,

I heard that Blood Furnace was a good place to get netherweave, when you are 85, so I went with my prot warrior.
I did 3 runs at 11 minutes each and got
314 Netherweave Cloth
31 Arcane Dust
19 Lesser Planar Essence
11 small prismatic shard
2 lockboxes
and around 100g in looting and greys.
The downside to this instance is that there's a lot of stunning.
The felguards throw you up in the air, the rogues kidney shut you and the Legionnaires (think it was them) does some kind of shield bash and concussion blow.
If not for this, you could most likely do the instance in around 7 minutes.

Another good place is the bonechewers next to the broken vechicles in Helfire peninsula along the path of glory. They are grouped extremely close together and you can aoe a lot at a time.

I was farming with a lvl 85 warrior with better than good tank gear (386 ilvl) and hands down the best place I've found for farming Netherweave is the Path of Conquest in SMV. Mobs are close together making it easy for AOE pulls and the respawn rate is ridiculously fast. In just 15 minutes of farming I had 13 stacks (260) of cloth, 99 Sunfury Signets, 9 Arcane Tomes, 5 greens for DE and a fair bit of vendor trash. Unfortunately I didn't reset my gold count so I can't say how much gold I netted from this excursion.

I've been searching for a decent spot to farm this cloth and at first I was using the Blood Furnace instance but it just wasn't dropping enough cloth imo. I took my Tailor/Enchanter, 85 Mage and I'd DE anything I got in there.
So I took a look and from what I gather, there are two spots I'd recommend.
One being in Shadowmoon Valley,
Legion Hold
is a great place to grind out this cloth. They respawn so fast and being a Mage, I can spam Arcane Explosion and loot like crazy. :) The beauty of the new looting system makes it so easy. I really liked farming there, managed to stay about an hour and got around 200+ Netherweave, very nice for sure.
The other spot I really like is the
Sha'tari Skyguard
area, I was actually finishing my rep with them for the mounts/tabard and the cloth they drop is incredible!
Both I'd give a try, take an AoE spammable type toon and keep your bags empty!
The nice thing with the Sha'tari Skyguard spot is if you need to empty your bags, just fly over to the vendor and voila!
:)
- - -
Edit:
Just thought I'd add, I was in Shadowmoon tonight farming and for half an hour I managed to get:
73
Bolts
of Netherweave Cloth, 142 Mark of Sargeras, 11 Fel Armament, 2 blue's and 5 greens among other grey's etc.
Not bad at all, definitely a worthy spot!

For those who prefer an instance,
鲜血熔炉
drops only netherweave, around 5 stacks a run. I would recommend this instance over something like
旧希尔斯布莱德丘陵
, because the mobs are too far apart in Old Hillsbrad. Also, The Blood Furnace drops a lot of greens which are good for DEing as well.
I did it on my 86 hunter, rounded up fairly large groups, so it went pretty fast.

FYI, I thought Shadow Lab would be good due to high concentrations of humanoid mobs at higher levels than BF, but BF still blows it out of the water by a ton...

Just spent exactly 5 minutes in Legion Hold (Shadowmoon Valley), killing the Warlocks powering the pillars in front of the infernal massing ground and got:
68 nethwerweave cloth
23 Mark of Sargeras
1 green
The warlocks respawned pretty much instantly, and often on top of each other. Level 85 Warlock, so I oneshotted them with Fel Flame. Pretty good place. Don't know if it's a bug or something (as of Dec 14 2012), but still nice. :P

Now that
BT
is so easily soloed at lvl90, it is a very
very
nice place to farm Netherweave cloth. You can get >20
*stacks*
from a clear. For those leveling enchanting at the same time, you'll come out with >20 or so DEable greens as well. Make sure you empty your bags!
The best way to farm is to clear the first two bosses, then just clear trash without killing any other bosses. This way the trash resets. BT also gives
Ashtounge
rep for
achievement
junkies. =P

As of patch 5.2, Mana Tombs (normal--I have not tried heroic) appears to still be the best place to farm Netherweave Cloth. As a 90 warrior, I run through and pull all the NPC's up to each boss for a total of 3 pulls. Took me exactly 7 minutes to finish the dungeon and I yielded 85 Netherweave Cloth and 12 greens/blues to disenchant.

One run of blood furnace normal gave exactly 100 netherweave cloth (5 stacks) as well as a lot of greens and other stuff.

For the lowbies (Level 65) Wyrmcultist around and in Black Coven cave in Blades Edge, drops are consistent. Some drop 2 or 3 at a time. It's a pretty dead area so there is no competition.

Shadowmoon Valley - start at 51,63 down the Path of Conquest, make the u-turn left, then go down the left path at the next fork (you can go to the right as well, but there aren't many mobs there).
Eclipsion soldiers et al are in clumps of two to three, and they drop NW, arcane tomes and sunfury signets. Less walking than Blood Furnace, and the spawn rate is great. By the time you get to the bottom, fly to the top, rinse and repeat.

As Meathim suggested in a previous post, Legion Hold in Shadowmoon Valley is a quick and easy way to get Netherweave Cloth. I tried this out and got 157 Netherweave Cloth in 10 minutes. I just ran between the 3 pillars one-shotting the warlocks with Ice Lance. Respawn rate was insane with no competition or down time until my bags filled up.

Ok needed 800 cloth , tried 3 methods listed here , just the facts of my runs , 90 ret pally , middle of day , middle of week runs , on medium pop server , but CRZ kinda negates that
Path Of Conquest
: it took 8 minutes 45 seconds , 125 cloth , stayed on path to the right and went all way to top , it basically circles around and brings you right back to where you started which is nice cause by then the mobs have respawned and you can rinse and repeat
Legion Hold Warlocks
: matched the time above and in 8 minutes 45 seconds, 82 cloth , they don't always respawn fast enough and they do not not always drop cloth
Blood Furnace
: I did not time my runs in this instance , but I ran it twice and averaged 55-65 cloths
Happy Hunting !

Just wanted to confirm the Path of Conquest. I was able to solo this easily on my 86 Mage, took about 10 minutes per run. After 30 minutes I had 18 stacks of Netherweave plus 3 full bags of junk to vendor and/or auction off. Depending on what everything sells for, I'm looking at making a nice 500-1000G profit, just for 30 minutes of work.

FAST NETHERWEAVE CLOTH!
Location:
The Black Temple,
Shadowmoon Valley
I found that farming either the northern part (Ata'mal Terrace (Aldor rep drops)) or the southern part (Ruins of Karabor (Scryer rep drops)) of the area outside Black Temple
to be a great place to farm Netherweave Cloth
and rep items.
Mobs are closely put together
and, playing as rogue with Fan of Knives and Burst of Speed, I was able to make short work on the little clusters you can find them in,
or cleverly create.
Some of the mobs names can be found below:
Ata'mal Terrace:
Shadowmoon Slayer
Shadowmoon Darkweaver
Shadowmoon Chosen
Ruins of Karabor:
Sunfury Eradicator
Sunfury Blood Lord
Sunfury Summoner
Sunfury Warlock
Demon Hunter Initiate
After around 10-15 minutes of farming
without much thought or attention, I netted approx 245 cloth, 8 Greens, 1 Fel Armament and other vendor items.

Shadow Labs - 15 Min
Blue: 6
Green: 7
Netherweave: 94
Sethekk Halls - 11 Min
Blue: 5
Green: 5
Netherweave: 34
Auchunai Crypts - 5 Min

Blood Furnace - 7 Min
Blue: 4
Green: 13
Netherweave: 68
Hellfire Ramparts - 5 Min

Netherweave: 46
Deduction: Spam Shattered Halls if your leveling Enchanting as well, otherwise spam Mana Tombs.

As a counterpoint to the Scryers items, if you went Aldor, spamming Shadow Labyrinth is a good source of Netherweave, as well as Marks of Sargeras/Fel Armament. I averaged 2.5 stacks of cloth per run, as well as some greens and boss loot to vendor.

Is it just me or did they lower the drop rate of netherweave cloth in TK and Kara? Full clear of Tempest Keep netted me 3 cloths.

Netherweave Cloth drops were
recently nerfed
but have been restored to their usual droprates:
I've been following this thread all week – we wanted to provide information sooner, but we try to be discreet when it comes to measures taken to address exploits and game abuse. We applied a band-aid fix last week to scale down the drop-rate of Uncommon, Common, and Poor (green, white, and grey) items inside Burning Crusade raids and dungeons, proportional to group size – this is the same way gold works, and if you had a full 5-player party running a dungeon nothing would have changed, but if you were soloing a raid like Black Temple you would have seen a large reduction in vendorable items.
Clearly that change, particularly undocumented, impacted innocent players. With today's maintenance, we've reverted that temporary fix and replaced it with an approach that should have zero impact on legitimate players.
That said, while we're very supportive of the activity of running legacy content, whether for transmog gear, crafting materials, trying to get that elusive second Warglaive, or just seeing places you never got to experience the first time around, we do need to keep an eye on the gold rewarded in the process. The core issue is that dungeons and raids yield much larger quantities of loot and materials, because they're designed to be split among 5, 10, or 25 players. But when you can go back and solo them later on, they can end up being disproportionately lucrative. We want them to still be rewarding and profitable (and clearly getting 3 grey drops from a full BT clear this past week was well short of that), but we may adjust the vendor-loot yield of legacy raids going forward into Warlords to keep the overall economy balanced. In any event, we'll provide much clearer documentation and advance notice if and when we do that.
Apologies for the radio silence regarding this change over the course of the past week.

A good place I've found to farm Netherweave Cloth is Throne of Kil'jaeden (61, 18) in
Hellfire Peninsula
. A
Felblood Initiate
has a drop rate of 59%, a
Wrath Herald
has a 47% drop rate and both can drop 1-3 at a time (according to Wowhead). They re-spawn very quickly, and it was quiet at the time so there was no competition for the kills. You will need a flying mount to get to this location as far as I can work out.

I agree about the Throne of Kil'Jaeden. I farmed there with my 90 warlock for about twenty minutes, just going around and killing the initiates. They do respawn very fast, I got 9 bolts which is 45 cloth just roaming around, I was not in a hurry. You can do more, quicker, I just needed a couple of bags for a new alt.

I found the best place to farm
Netherweave
, is
Mana Tombs
, located in Terokkar Forest, located in the Auchindoun. More specific its the northside entrance.
It's an easy job as a level 90, Pull the whole dungeon and mass AOE. Takes about 5 minutes for a run, and I usually get between 3-5 stacks per run.

If you happen to also need skyguard rep for the mounts/pet, farming skettis is extremely lucrative for netherweave also

Sells well (people and their alts) on many servers so it's generaly a good use of cloth if it's cloging your bags and you are a tailor.

Did a solo run through 25-man Black Temple with a half-ass geared arcane mage @ 100. Arcane Explosion'd all the trash to death, supernova'd all the bosses, left with 500-550g in vendored gear and 453 netherweave cloth.

Currently in Shadowlands Beta around Aug 1, 2020 and they've destroyed the drop rate for Netherweave Cloth in dungeons and raids and from most Outlands mobs it seems like. Been doing misc stuff like questing, killing random mobs here and there, doing several dungeons and Black Temple raid, and the drop rate is nearly all Runecloth! It's like 10-20x Runecloth to Netherweave Cloth. So, it's horrible for Netherweave. I've seen better drop rates from the groups of Flamewaker Imps and Heckling Fel Sprites so far in Hellfire Peninsula, so I'm sticking with those for now.

LePerceur
after the SL nerf to the drop rate, i searched farm spots in Outland. The top of the Fel bastion (entrance of shadowmoon valley, on the right) has almost instant respawn of demonists. It's the best I found so far. Demons on the lower stages have 5 min respawn.
