can be turned in at andorgos. gives 1000 reputation with brood of nozdormu.
They don't stack, but you can have many of them in your bag/bank same time.
Its best to keep these and the Quiraji Lord Insignias that the bosses drop until 2999/3000 neutral, as that is when you stop getting rep for trash mob and boss kills.
These can be looted by the entire raid.
Can farm the first pack over and over for these, just make sure to leave one alive before you run out to have the entire pack reset.
I'm curious to know if there are any special pre-requisites needed to loot these items. I've been farming both the Obsidian Eradicator patrols, as well as 3/4 of that first pack of Anubisath Sentinel's for many hours and would've expected to see at least 1 of these drop. I have been zoning out of the instance once i kill my 3 sentinel's to reset the pack before I loot the first 3 dead ones(Which i then loot once i zone back inside). Do I maybe have to loot the bodies first before i zone out, and might this be why I have yet to see one?
Also, part of the reason why I ask about pre-requisites to loot these, is because usually after I have killed and looted the bodies off of that first pack 2-3 times, the first 3 dead bodies i killed and looted will despawn/disappear. After an hour of farming this first pack though, I will end up with around 10 dead, and looted, sentinal bodies that won't seem to despawn/disappear. Usually this only occurs when there is something to loot off of the body, but it happens to be something that a player in the group or raid can't loot.
Another thing i also just thought of. I'm currently at the revered reputation for the brood of nozdormu. Is it possible for some reason that you can maybe only loot these items while at a lower reputation level with them?
Any help or tips would be appreciated, otherwise i'll just keep on farming occasionally to see if I can manage to get lucky!
A really patient player could farm these mobs:
Ancient Qiraji Artifacts
. The drop rate would be about 1 in every 180 kills.
Consider that there are two patrols, each containing 4 Sentinels and 1 Eradicator before the first boss in AQ40. That comes to ten mobs. Given that you can kill 50 of these mobs (total) per hour (get a pal to park an alt in a raid group with you, run in by yourself, kill the ten, run out, reset the instance, rinse and repeat the maximum 5 times per hour), you could count on 1000 rep from1
Ancient Qiraji Artifact
every four hours, more or less (statistically speaking).
Maybe it's not a lot of fun, but it is conceivable that you could get from 0/21000 to 21k/21k+ Revered/Exalted within one raid lock-out period. Mind numbing and potentially maddening, but conceivable.
Another plus is that these mobs drop the bug mounts, so by the time that you are finished with your rep, it's almost a given that you will have all of the AQ mounts.
I haven't see anyone mention, that if you don't kill the first boss, the trash do respawn after a time without having to reset. That way you don't lock yourself or your alts ( and yes its 5 resets per hour per "account", not char, blizz does this to stop gold farmers). I know that personally, while I was farming for my little raptor pet in WC, hoped over to my DK to try for it too, and still got the error message. So you can go do something else, while waiting for the respawn. Me, personally, I hoped over to the elementals and farmed a bit of Hydraxian Warlord rep from the elementals in the north(note they only give rep to 5999/6000 friendly). But there is also Cenarian Circle rep to be farmed too(I am already exalted with CC)
Hunters probably have the easiest time of all farming for these, only having to dismiss their pet and feign to reset each pack rather than have to run out, load, run back in and load again.
If you pop up again whilst the last mob is in melee range, or aggro one of the newly respawned mobs before he reaches his spawn point, his health won't have reset from any extra damage dealt prior to the reset. Simply recall your pet, and you're instantly back in the action.
The same idea would work for any other aggro-dropping abilities for other classes - bubbling, iceblock, vanish etc - albiet with longer cooldown penalties.
To further speed things up, make sure that loot is on free-for-all so you don't have to waste time rolling, and keep 'delete' copied into the clipboard so you can just ctrl-v enter to get rid of those horribly annoying unique scarab mounts that get in the way of looting.
You will need 79 of Insignias to get nearly 999/1000 Exalted (1 more to get to 100% exalted).
So you will need to do 10 full clears of Ahn'Quiraj Temple to get 80 of them (coz you will get 8 every run).
dont use them
before 2999/3000 Neutral ! I did 2 runs and I am at 932/3000 Unfriendly so 10 runs are more than enough.
