this is a very very strong sword in lvl 60 but in lvl 70 this sword is the lows swordbut i can disenchant :Phehe

well how do u summon him ?.. cus iv heard u need to go MC and many other pre-tbc raids but special MC u get mats there or somthing i dont remember sry but i wonna know how u summon him =)

After slaying Prince Thunderaan this item pops up with group loot on. I'm curious if it can be looted by a different person or class at that time. i.e. Warlock

Believe it or not, this quest starter is actually tradable, as long as there are other people in your party.

We often see in these large online games bitter-sweet victories and forgettable events; while it is true that the first time you sever the head of VanCleef you feel a surge of pride, it is sullied by the knowledge of the thousands that came before you and those who will soon follow.

Actual history has many more memorable events because they are truly that, history. While the actions are repeatable, none are equal to that original moment in any way, but merely act as homage to that unique moment. This however is one of those true moments of game history, set in a world where history is usually repeatable.

To most they only knew of it second-hand, a friend of a friend hearing something about a hasty Black Wing Lair run; while to others it was a frenzied pace of night-after-night raids and countless hours of grinding to help form this Champion, to help herald in this event.

You may still be able to grasp at shadows of what this once was, and follow the path of those who did it before you, but in this rarest of quests there are none on par with the champions who broke the seal of Ahn’Qiraj to face the would-be god C’Thun, and quest beside us a Scarab Lord.

They, and only they, opened the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj, and ended the Great War Effort.

So i just did this whole chain and boss on my priest just to see it get placed in my bags. Sucks that the achievement required you to equip it.

To get started on this quest, you need to go to Molten Core (a lot). You need either "Bindings of the Windseeker", or "Bindings of the Windseeker" to start the quest. You'll notice that one is the "Right" half, and the other is the left. You will need both to complete the quest, but not to start it.

The item doesn't "begin a quest". It's a trigger. Sort of like if you were to have a Sulfuron ingot in your bag and talk to Loktos Darkbargainer of the Thorium Brotherhood in the bar of BRD (which he'll then trade you Plans: Sulfuron Hammer for your ingot) .

To start the quest, have at least one of the halves on you, and go find Highlord Demitrian
The Left half drops off of Baron Geddon.
The Right half drops from Garr.

* It's said that both have the same % to drop, but not in my house it certainly doesn't. I've seen it from Garr too many times to count and after over 3 years, just got it from Baron Geddon. Of course your luck may be better than mine. I sure hope so for your sake!

Last but not least, you'll need the Essence of the Firelord which is a guaranteed drop from Ragnaros (if you're on the quest).

I can't imagine how incredible one felt back in the day of vanilla to do everything that was required for this. Major kudos to them. Now it's more about the grind and only a matter of time. Of course, it's not just the two halves that you need, haha, oh no. You'll also need 10x Enchanted Elementium Bars. So be prepared to then do some minor farming in Black Wing Lair, and find a miner who can smelt it.

You probably already know this, but why do so much work for such an outdated weapon? The achievements of course. One is a feat of strength for yourself, and the other one is for the guild.

PS. One of the things happening in the up and coming expansion, Mists, is transmog allowing legendary weapons. So there's another reason perhaps to have it ;)
