Purchasable from the vendor in Sen'jin Village in Southern Durotar, this is one of the mounts available to Horde characters with a riding skill of 150 (obtainable at level 60). If you are playing as any race other than a troll, you will also need to have Exalted reputation with the Darkspear Trolls.

This mount increases movement speed by 100%.

id have to say black war raptors look a lot cooler than the 3 raptors available at 60 by the npc...

then again, black war raptors are everywhere nowadays given the ease of acquiring them via pvp...

so above all the 3 (orange, olive, blue) , id have to say that this is the best looking raptor u can get if given the chance... better than having to ride what everybody else can ride (black)... just my opinion ;)

I found raptor's run animation quite painful for eyes after a while, due to very rapid 'jumps'. It definitely needs getting used to, especially if you used other mounts before.

As of Patch 3.2, mounts that require 150 Riding Skill can be attained at level 40. Notwithstanding faction discounts, the riding skill itself costs 50g and the mounts costs 10g.

I'm not sure but I believe the color on the armor on top of the head is painted black now also :o can't remember that is was earlier :) Might load a pic of it
