I don't think this is used anymore, can anyone confirm? Can't vendor it either so have to destroy it to get rid of it.

It seems that Goraluk Anvilcrack in Upper Blackrock Spire also drops this. I looted it today while trying to farm the bottom half.

I just sold one for 475g on the AH. yet I have a completed 'Bottom Half' volume I can't sell to save my life.

I've killed him 56 times thus far, post patch 4.0.3, and have yet to see this drop, though I've looted two Ace of Warlords cards.

Assuming the drop rate *is* 6%, the likelihood that he wouldn't drop it 56 times in a row is .94^56....~3%. I suppose I'm outstandingly unlucky.

Can anyone confirm or deny if this is still available? I haven't farmed as much as the previous poster, but with a decent drop chance, one would think it would have dropped by now. I hear from some people it's no longer available though..

I had one of these volumes that I got from the auction house, in 4.3, and it vanished from my bank. According to a GM ticket:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.

Unfortunately, there is a known issue where the Enchanted Thorium Platemail volumes were not all correctly removed from the game. Please note that these volumes and the associated quests no longer exist in game and cannot be used to complete these quests as they were all deprecated when The Shattering was released. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but these quests can no longer be completed and all of these volumes were supposed to be removed from the game.
