The special drops only occur in the 4 Shadowland zones (Maldraxxus, Bastion, etc.), not the Maw or Korthia. As of right now, it looks like getting this on one character does -not- grant the ability to your alts.

To be clear, before I purchase this...this item does not give RELICS when completing a world quest, it gives covenant REP, correct?

If you think you are going to get more Relics from Shadowlands quests outside of Korthia think again. Do not waste your resources on this trash item.

Given the amount of time SL has been up I am sure most folks will already have maxed out their Reputations and the trashy amount this conveys will not increase your significantly increase the rate of your Paragon earnings.

If you have a choice between buying this and using ur 2k CR for anything else then anything else is the correct choice.

What a waste. Bliz could have put something useful in here rather than this placeholder crap.

Shame on Blizzard for using the phrase "grants you the ability to find relics" at the beginning of this item's tooltip when literally everything we're doing in Korthia revolves around finding and looting relics. This item actually gives bonus rep when competing world quests. Waste of catalogued research unless you literally have nothing else to buy.

I'm sure I'm not alone in buying this item and THEN realizing what it actually does when I discover I'm not getting relics for completing world quests.

Will teach me to read better next time, but seriously, the tooltip should not have the word relic anywhere on it.

So if you've been playing since SL release this is completely pointless since you're probably already exalted with all 4 and barely do world quests in those zones anymore. If they were smart they would make this item grant relics for Korthia research from doing wq in the rest of sl zones, which would be new incentive to do old WQ. And since you have to be tier 6 to buy this(it doesn't even become unlocked for alts), which already takes forever to reach 6, it really really seems pointless. Bc if you've been farming that much research then you've been playing for months and the tiny amount of bonus rep is really not helpful or worth the 2k research. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

Ever since I bought this item the chests from Venthyr Mirror Network level 3 no longer give transmog or any other rewards except anima and grey items to sell. Either I've been extremely unlucky (which I don't believe because prior to buying this item I got a transmog piece once, twice a week - I don't know the drop rate, but it's been around a month since I unlocked the level 3 Network and I'm 4/9 on the transmog, got a mount, dagger and back transmogs) or the interaction between those two things is bugged. Anyone had the same issue?
