To buy this toy you need Night Fae 名望 lvl 20.

You get 名望 by doing your Covenant Campaign and by doing two weekly quests:

Note this does NOT return you to Ardenweald. It's just a cosmetic effect for your regular hearthstone.

While it's sad this doesn't HS you to ardenweald specifically (is just a normal Hearthstone toy, linked to all your other hearthstone toys)...
The glorious news... is that using it is not linked to what covenant you choose!*

It's also easily my favourite HS ever, such a gorgeous spell effect!

Disclaimer!
*I've only tested this on a lvl 50 alt (who's never stepped into the SL), but said alt could use this HS. I can only presume therefore that it doesn't have a covenant lock to it... I will update this if I discover otherwise later on!

Sadly they've since hotfixed this, changing it so that only members of that covenant can use it's hearthstone toy, and the pet too. Such a tragic decision :(

Disappointment aside over what it should be but isn't, the animation IMHO is unimpressive compared to the SL HS animation. And it certainly isn't worth 750 anima...especially since resourcing anima is soooo time consuming b/c you're getting it in dribs and drabs....not to mention that its the ONLY currency for running the ENTIRE Covenant. Easy pass on this lack-luster perk.

Once unlocked, this toy is usable by all characters, including those who aren't members of the Night Fae covenant or haven't even unlocked the Shadowlands.

Is the item#180290 correct for this? I'm trying to incorporate it in to a castrandom macro that randomly casts one of my available hearthstone toys and the macro won't work whenever this one would be chosen. I tested removing all of the other item#s just to be sure.

I know this toy (all the cosmetic SL hearthstone toys, actually) are getting a ton of hate, but I LOVE this.

This is the only Hearthstone toy that has booted my Lunar Elder's Hearthstone out of 1st place, since the first time in, well, ever!
I love unique HS spell effects and the fact that you can put them on your action bars and not have yet another Hearthstone in your bags!
Don't get me wrong, I adore my Garrison & Dalaran Hearthstones, but they take up a bit of space between the two of them. (Not to mention other teleportation items in bags or bank!)

I know it's not the same at all, but it can still be helpful- the engineer toy Wormhole Generator - Shadowlands will throw you somewhere random in the Shadowlands. If I'm not mistaken it's only made by engineers, ~~but usable by all~~, (oops, my bad! Thanks Turowai!) and anywhere in cosmos. If you want to get to the SL fast and don't have a hearth set, that's your best bet.

Wish it said that it was linked to the hearthstone, and not just something implying a convenient second teleport item for the same location unless you're someone who knows about cosmetic hearths already. It's nice for what it is, but I wouldn't have bought it myself if not for the description.

Something like "Cosmetic: Linked to hearthstone." instead of "Returns you to hearthstone location".

The prior implies it is what it is, the later implies it's a separate CD item to your one set home.

The tooltip does indicate "Toy" so that brought me to wowhead comments to confirm it is only cosmetic and NOT a functioning hearthstone. Being no more than an appearance, I won't buy it until I have anima I can afford to waste. That may never happen. Otherwise I would buy it regardless of cost.

If you update your teleportation network to rank 3, you get a portal to Oribos in your covenant sanctum, making it a good step to set your hearthstone in the Heart of the Forest (Night Fae sanctum).

I agree with this. This is so wrong. 1. They shouldn't add it as a perk of renown if we have to buy it in the first place. 2. They shouldn't be charging us anima to pay for it. 3. It should actually be a hearthstone to this area rather than a worthless trinket. Silly Blizzard. How hard would this be? And how foolish to lead people astray like this.

I feel ripped off, but in hindsight it was my fault. It SAID that it returns you to The Heart Of The Forest, but is just another pretty face to the regular hearthstone. It could be that it said that because that was where my real hearthstone was set too, but they could have made it a bit more clear. My stupidity; it was labelled as a "Toy"
I Wish they would get us a second REAL damn hearthstone, like the Dalaran one. 680+ mounts and one hearthstone... Sad.

Despite what the tooltip says, since 9.1.5, you *can* still use this if you've switched covenants, provided you maxed your Renown out to 80 before leaving.

UGH! This is all so confusing and I wish I knew how this all worked! I had one main character with maxed Kyrian renown. When I made some alts they were all able to use the Kyrian hearthstone and still can. Now I have leveled one of these alts and did nightfae up to lvl 45 for the mount and bought the nightfae hearthstone thinking I could use it for my main, but it says it doesn't work on characters not pledged to nightfae. Tried to look this up online and all I got were old posts about how they stupidly changed these hearthstones to be covenant pledged exclusive back in 2021 (than why does my Kyrian Hearthstone work on all my alts?). Do I have to finish lvling my alt to 70 nightfae renown to get the nightfae hearthstone to work for my other characters?, or will I just end up wasting my time? or what is going on with these different hearthstones?
