Healing reduced by 50% when engaged in combat with enemy players.
Each Morsel has a chance to critically heal you!
I'm getting it (184 mythic) as roughly 10% of my healing per Mythic 0 as a prot pala
What does Gluttonous do?
At the 210 ilvl version on a 204 ilvl Brewmaster depending on fight it is falling in between 3-8% of my healing. Over twice that of Tiger Palm and about on par with Healing Elixir in terms of overall healing. I am using it on cooldown to stagger in a slow trickle of healing since during raids the healing is almost never wasted.
210 ilvl version is 734 per stack with +116 Stamina.
Doesn't seem to work on bosses such as Sludgefist in Castle Nathria
Got a 220 version of this in my vault today as a brewmaster and decided to try it out cause there was no other good option.
I was pleased to find out that it is actually not as bad as I thought it would be.
After experimenting I found a few things worth sharing, as it might be helpful to know.
The tooltip says 846, but it heals for 949, so there is some scaling going on.
The stacks of Gluttonous have no duration and lasts until used or death (think also zone change but not tested yet)
Each heal can crit
Each heal can proc Celestial Fortune for even more healing, meaning it has good synergy with crit.
Stagger ticks can proc the stacks, which means that you can easily get 9 stacks while only taking a few hits and kiting. The average rate seem to be about 1 stack every 4 seconds, but it can be much higher or lower than this.
Seen it be as low as 2.6 which means you can get 9 stacks by only taking a total of 2 actual hits (2x12 second stagger).
Under normal conditions you can expect to reach 9 stacks within a minute, so treat this trinket as a 1 minute cooldown with the potential of being lower, instead of the actual 30 seconds.
Total numbers over the course of a fight is nothing impressive as people have stated, but that's not really the point, it's more of an emergency heal. Currently it heals me for 10-13k which is not an insignificant amount for a "oh $%^&" heal.
There is a slight delay on the heal, as the slimes need to catch up to you before they get to heal you. While standing still this is about 1 second, but increases rapidly if moving away from them. I would place their movement speed at around 100% (ground mount) so outrunning them is not a problem. However quick moves like chi torpedo can cause a substantial delay, so keep this in mind when using it.
The slimes path directly to you, meaning that even if you jump off a cliff or something they will just fly through the air in a straight line towards you.
For reference, ilvl 220 has 131 stamina, which is a big chunk of extra health.
Feel like it is one of Best In Slot trinkets for a Blood Death Knight running M+.
Some things to note,
As tool tips state, this is based off of taking damage to gain a stack.
I had this on a druid tank and it was utter garbage, I kept it in bags and after they buffed it I tried again, still garbage.
The reason was because my bear was dodging far too often for me to get much use out of it by using it on CD.
Was getting .5% of my healing using it on CD.
Still ok to save up stacks for an uh oh button.
My Blood DK and Paladin however as they rarely dodge (if I recall correctly a parry or block counts as a glancing blow so still damage.), get a lot of healing from this even using it on CD and chain pulling.
On my Blood DK on a 10 key it was 3.7% of my healing, on a 12 key it was 11.3 % of my healing.
It has a chance to proc on all damage, but physical damage seems to have a higher chance to proc a stack.
Once used the morsels can reach you immediately or take up to 2 seconds for the morsels to reach you if you are kiting when using the trinket. You do not heal until the morsel reaches you.
Summation of notes:
1) Can take a couple seconds for the healing to occur
2) Seems to be more useful for face tanking classes
3) If on a dodgy tank save stacks for an uh oh button
