This seems to be a good start for blizzard to update all of their mounts
If you get the Ram do you get the Frostwolf too? Vise-Versa too?
Alterac Valley of Olde is a version of Alterac Valley similar to that in Classic/Vanilla, but not identical. This version will have you summoning bosses, completing quests and battling your way to victory. This version of Alterac Valley has no reinforcements or time limit, so be prepared for a potentially long match!
For participating in Alterac Valley of Olde, you will receive the achievement
. Note that you do not have to win to receive this achievement. It grants both
(H) on each respective faction.
Some quick information about Alterac Valley of Olde:
Players can queue up from level 10 to level 120, and will be set to level 60 in the instance.
Lower-level players will earn experience from monster kills, completing quests, and participating during events in the battleground.
Rescaled rewards of Alterac Valley items, including iconic items such as
You can queue up with a party, or raid.
doesn't count for Alterac Valley Mount progress.
The fast way for get
. At more than 20 scraps per horde/alliance looted, it might actually be fastest to farm horde/alliance bodies by aggressively looting them. Just make sure to turn in the
before AV ends; they disappear from your bags.
= 0.5% progress for mount, you loot 20-40
per player corpse.
IGNORE, ALREADY BEEN HOTFIXED
** Not sure if this is intended, but if you log into your character, and don't open your anniversary box (except for getting the breadcrumb quest/rep & xp token) and queue for the instance, zone in, you can then open your box, get the 200 Timewalking Badges from your box and instantly get the mount and the achievement. You only have to be in the instance and get the 200 Timewalking badges for it to work. You don't even have to stay till the end either...
Oh... wow. Just... wow.
Winning the battle of Alterac Valley gives you
ABSOLUTELY ZERO PROGRESS
if you're trying to get the Anniversary PvP mount.
So, in other words, if you want to get the mount, you need to flip the middle finger to your group and just do stuff to get 1% per turn-in while your group complains why people aren't helping push.
What nobody seems to be saying, and what I picked up from being stuck in Alterac for an hour (at least I earned rep) is that you don't progress by fighting; you progress by turning in ram skins to someone I couldn't even find.
It'd be nice if there were clearer instructions SOMEWHERE for those of us who don't do BGs normally.
The quests below will help you get the required Timewarped Badges.
They're shareable so you can help your party or be helped.
(Sorry for not flagging the faction but not all quests have been faction-assigned yet)
The best way to get this as of now is to only do the ram quest that you can find in your base. Each turn in gives 2.5 % progress.
Classes with specific mobility like warriors with heroic leap, locks with gate etc. have an advantage because they can easily get over the little cliff when you try to get into the base the shortest way, but you can also spam jump on your mount to eventually get it (latter not recommended). Don't turn in before the ram reached the quest giver as otherwise the quest can bug out (ram doesn't despawn and prevents you from taming new rams, dying fixes this tho). The quest has a cap for each battleground, so immediately rush to the quest at the start of the bg and keep spamming it until you can't turn in more. Then leave, wait 15 minutes for deserter, join new bg (queue time is only about 4 minutes for Alliance) and repeat. If the bg is almost over (you lost both of your base's towers), it's better to wait the loss out instead of leaving not only because of deserter but since then you have a greater chance to get a fresh bg when queueing again. Getting an already started bg is the worst. You can also try to queue as tank/healer for a greater chance of getting a fresh bg.
The more people will know about this, the worse it will get because of the cap. So do it now while it is still pretty much unknown.
If you are alone you can get more than 30 % progress per bg.
The other methods are a lot worse. Winning gives no progress by itself. The mine and kill quests only give 1 % per turn in after the first one (first one is worth it tho). The Korrak quest is usually completed by the Horde because they spawn closer to it and only gives 5 % anyways, you should do it once for the unique transmog spear tho.
You also get the horde wolf when you get the ram.
If you Want that mount:
mean 0/5% so you need 200 badge to get your mount
doesn't count for Alterac Valley Mount progress
First of all there is rule
you need get Timewarped Badge From Alterac Valley
Cant do this on Epic BG just From Korrak's revenge in Your player Vs player on quick match
Players can queue up from level 10 to level 120, and will be set to level 60 in the instance
Lower-level players will earn experience from monster kills, completing quests, and participating during events in the battleground
when you join
best Way to farm badge is quest like:
witch you can loot this from enemy corpse
For each loot you get like
for first time you get x 10 and after that
just x 1 Per quest
Also another Quests like
10 badge per turning (quest giver: Zinfizzlex behind scrap quest giver)
Can loot in battleground
There is more but this 3 quest is best way to farm if you can fight go loot corps if you cant go farm in mine or if you don't want farm or fight buy from action house
for first time we turn quest back we get extra reward and every one try to farm there and never this end(there is no kill limit you need kill boss to win) so why we should continue?
Leave and again queue .....
That's good idea But 15 minute wait for New one ?
If you try to be a good leader and tell players push so you get extra reward for win
I had 2 hour run and 30 minute run well you should push after you done whit your quest
Also be sure get
during the preparation stage at the start of the battleground
Free teleport to base whit 2 hour cooldown.
The mount will appear in your inventory once you have acquired all 200 badges in Alterac Valley Classic. The Horde version of the mount will also be applied on your Horde character if applicable.
You get both this and
for doing the achievement. No need to complete both factions seperately.
The easiest, fastest and most fun way to farm the badges is, by looting the killed opponents.
which you can return in your base. blue ? mark.
20 pc gives you 1 badge. If done my achievement within 2 hours max.
500 badges in 10 min.
good luck and sorry for my English, just wanted to let you guys know
I got this mount today, it will be in your bag when you complete it. Honestly I would avoid the quests, the easiest and fastest way to achieve this is to loot dead horde and turn in the armor scraps. Good luck!
Try hard and never give up until you get this wondrous ram.
fastest way to farm the badge is the tame goat/wolf quest that gives you 5 timewarp badge for each but the quest is limited when they have enof wolf/rams they only want wolf/ram skin to send out an army but still its much better then armor scrap the risk with armor scrap is when faction is at your base and kills your daily npc
You get both mounts,
(H), for doing
WoW's 15th Anniversary
Just found out about this because it showed up in AllTheThings when I entered caverns of time. I was online every freaking day of the anniversary. Was there any notification in game?
As of the Shadowlands Pre-patch, this ram has the new Ram animation set.
thanks to the pre shadowlands patch, and now it turning all the stuff on at 11/1/20, i can tell you from experience this hasnt changed a bit. Forget about winning, its a lag fest, complete and total lag..fest. Just do the stuff to turn in as much as ya can to get the darn tw badges so you dont torment yourself more than necessary. blizzard has turned this into nothing but a giant irritating mess.
This achievement can feel a bit grindy, so I wanted to share what I did to earn it quickly. Note: This strategy mostly applies to
Alliance characters with short queues
- Horde may benefit from
simply sticking it out and winning
, as they often do. Comments have suggested
badges don't count towards the required 200, but I've found this to be inaccurate, and that they
towards the achievement.
The fastest method is to
complete a few quests quickly on several characters (at least level 20), then deserting
, rather than going for wins and losses.
This will earn you 40 badges (20%) if all are completed.
The route is to grab
on the bridge, run to
in the camp, hand in the quest and accept
, then run to Irondeep Mine and kill the mini-boss.
Then, return to your comrades, being sure to loot a few enemies to gather 20
to hand in. If
is still alive at Snowfall, help kill him to complete his quest, then go hand in at the base. (If he's dead, you may need to leave and come back later, and go with the group to kill him immediately instead).
Here are all the quests you're completing:
- Speak to
to get the quest, then hand into
and accept the next quest
- Speak to
to get this quest, then run straight into Irondeep Mine to kill the mini-boss
- Located at Snowfall Graveyard
- Looting 1 to 2 enemies will give you 20
to complete this one.
- Doesn't grant badges, but rewards 1000 honor for nearly zero work (loot one enemy).
As of patch 9.1.5, this mount has a new icon! It looks more accurate to the actual model than the old icon did.
