As someone that can only play at night, I have wanted a daytime equivalent for the Inky Black Potion desperately for AGES.
I am just praying that the full day cooldown is not final!
OMG yes please, and thank you Blizzard. I play on Oceanic servers which was linked at the start of legion with US servers to allow for open world grouping with US players. Previously we could only group with them in an instance.
The side effect of this has been that the in-game open world day night cycle is now the same as US time zones. For players in Australia and NZ the in-game sunset is now around one or two in the afternoon. Prior to this it followed local time. It has effectively plunged Oceania into a game world that is always night time.
A long capped thread about this has been on the oceanic forums since the release of legion I think. Despite blue comments early on in the thread to look into this many players, myself included, have felt that this issue has been completely ignored by Blizzard and communication from them on oceanic forums has been zero on this or any other topic.
The ability to do the opposite of the inky black potion and turn the game world to daytime will be a dream come true to many players in this region. And allow us to continue our open world adventures with our US friends. It is truly stunning to see the beauty of Kul tiras and Zandalar during daylight the few mornings I am able to log on then. I only hope Blizzard wont gate Oceania's fix behind some time consuming grind. Or only allow us to do this once a day.
Now if they could also fix the in-game calendar to local time as well that would be awesome. Its been years Blizzard, come on, it worked fine prior to legion....... we are tired of turning up for events a day early :)
Super happy about this one! Maybe OCE isnt completely ignored ;)
very happy to see this item! i can finally play in sunshine now! <3
The cooldown is absurd on this item.
While I'm not an OCE player, I have a friend who is constantly frustrated playing in eternal night.
Now Blizzard gives them an item to help with that. An item which has zero effect on anyone but the user. And what do they do? Make it way less useful than it ought to have been with a 1 day cooldown.
There is absolutely no reason the duration should not exceed the cooldown on such a needed item.

The NPC that sells this item is in the Timeless Tunnel section of the Caverns of Time at 42.8, 71.5. Map:
Her name is Otela and she sells it for 1000 Timewarped Badges.
Effect lasts for 2 Hours. Cooldown is 24 Hours.
, a consumable, has both the same effect and duration on only a 10-second cooldown. Each sand costs 10x
As of patch 8.2.5, the effect disappears on death. I used in Skyreach TW dungeon and on my death, it resets to night.
24 hour CD I mean it is a fun item and we know blizzard HATES when the player has fun
I don't get why the whining. Yes, it's an absurdly long CD, yet, 2 hours is PLENTY of time to do your WQs.
I would accept complains about the prices instead.
A very nice and useful toy, especially when you're searching for something like the chests in Mechagon, which is much harder at night.
Has anyone tried to find the day fish for "secret fish and where to find them" at night with this toy? Does using the toy artificially change the realm time or just the lighting?
This toy should have a 30 minutes cooldown. There are many players that can only play at night and/or have vision issues and having this option available at all times would improve their experience. I don't play too dark games anymore. Boralus at night during BfA was a struggle.
