Logic Loops create a complete equip function when paired with a corresponding Bit Band.
options for each portion of the logic gate, and each will pair with whichever of the other you wish:
(HK-8 Aerial Oppression Unit encounter):
If you use 3 different spells or abilities on the same target...
If you damage an enemy while you are behind them...
If you activate an ability while your health is below 50%...
If you heal a target whose health is below 50%...
(Machinist's Garden encounter):
...then you absorb the next 54272 Magic damage within 8 sec.
...then you heal up to 5 injured allies for 10590.
...then you deal 42364 Nature damage to a nearby enemy.
...then you gain 191 Haste for 15 sec.
Note on this item:
is a great option for single target fights!
Especially for Assassin Rogues, Discipline & Shadow Priests, Survival Hunters, Arms Warriors, Elemental & Enhancement Shamans, Demonology & Affliction Warlocks, Frost & Fire Mages...

This ring and others in the "Logic Loop" series have an "if ..." function which must be paired with the "... then" function found on "Bit Band" rings.
In WoW this is more traditionally displayed as a 'set bonus' but in this case it's a bit more fun, Mechagon-style: you can customize the cause & effect by pairing different rings.
Does anybody know how this works exactly?
It sounds like we know it has an internal 15s cd. Beyond that, can say a holy paladin do the following:
Flash of Light
Light of Dawn
Does the aoe heal from light of dawn count as a spell or ability on the same target?
Does it matter if you change your target after two spells and switch to another player and then switch back to the original target? Does that break the sequence, or does it keep track of it on each single target, and the first time you use a spell or ability on a single target, the proc is procced? Do azerite traits that heal targets or place a buff on them count towards this proc? Anyway, just some questions as to how this ring works exactly. I hope we can find out. I might have to do some testing here.
: I did some research recently. I'm using this with a Rebooting Bit Band. First off, you dont even have to be in combat for it to proc. Stand somewhere in town and cast three different heals on yourself (holy shock/flash of light/light of dawn), and then cast concencration (or any other not previously cast spell or ability), it will proc. Even if concecration doesn't hit anything it will proc. It definitely has a 15sec cooldown internally because you'll get a debuff on your player that says its recharging, It won't have a chance to proc until the debuff is gone.
I took off all of my items except the two rings and a weapon that doesn't do anything special. Aoe abilities seem to be able to proc the heal for rebooting bit band. However I've found that I can cast three different abilties on myself (holy shock,flash heal, and light of dawn), but it doesn't proc until i cast concecration or another spell (a 4th spell/ability) that isn't even targeted to myself. Concecrate is an aoe damage ability. This also works if the 4th ability is just crusader strike on an enemy target, it doesn't have to be an aoe ability.
It will also proc on the successful cast of a 4th spell in the following order (target self):
flash of light
light of dawn
or any order of the above four will guarantee it to work. it seems like it wont proc until a 4th ability or spell is successfully used. and that 4th ability (or 5th or 6th or whatever), doesn't have to target the same initial target (but it can, IF it is different than all the other spells you already have cast) (see above rotation).
I also found that I can do essentially the opposite. I cast Holy shock on a target dummy, judgement on the target dummy, and then crusader strike on the dummy, and the heal won't proc until I cast light of dawn, an aoe heal ability that doesn't even do anything to the target dummy. However, I tried this minutes later, and it didn't work, so i'm not sure.
Here's another rotation that works on a target dummy:
light of dawn (self + aoe heal)
This rotation causing the proc makes no sense it's 5 abilities and the 4th one heals myself and does nothing to the enemy target.
I just got it to proc on two spell casts on targeting self:
Flash of light
I got it to proc also with:
Holy shock (self)
Flash of light (self)
Holy light (self)
Concecrate (nobody else around)
During a dungeon run, I would routinely change targets and cast spells and it would still proc, as if it didn't even have to be performed on the same target. This ring doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason as to when or how it procs. Instead of spending even more time investingating just how broken this ring is, I switched to Logic Loop of Division, which works 100% of the time exactly as you would expect. Maybe this Logic Loop of Recursion works better for other classes/specs, but its awful for me (a holy paladin). The only way to use it, is to ignore the rules and hope it procs, and if it ends up being a lot based on your gameplay style, then it could be a ring for you. If anybody has any insight into how this ring works for real, please let me know.
I'm so sad that this isn't simming well for my windwalker, as it would match well with the requirement to do something different all the time.
