Interestingly enough, when I used this toy while standing in the middle of my garrison, my Lunarfall Guards appeared as human ghosts instead of Padarens, like they usually are.

If you look at the fae inside Heart of the Forest they all appear to be Kul'Tiran. I was very excited at first and thought maybe the spyglass revealed what the spirits were in life but theres no way all the spirits there are Kul'Tiran... right?

What the spyglass does: It applies a model change on all humanoid NPCs using the spell 诅咒视觉. It will change the model to a ghostly Kul Tiran, but again, this ONLY works on Humanoid NPCs. There are a set number of models, and they are generated and applied at random, without lining up to the current appearance, gear, gender, etc. of the current NPC. This also works on other players, but at most it appears to only give a unique effect by showing the ghostly models holding the weapons of those players.

Things to note:

The spyglass can actually be used while mounted. This is a huge help for players who are trying to see what might be way out in the ocean, but don't want to actually fly all the way out into fatigue to figure that out.
Using this particular spyglass will NOT break a rogue's stealth ability.
If the player spins their character so that the character is not facing the same direction as the spyglass, the NPCs will disappear entirely. Not just the humanoid NPCs. All NPCs. Critters, beasts, elementals, uncategorized, everything. Even objects that are coded as NPCs. This has two benefits:

Firstly, this is a spectacular way to see if things like statues, or maybe a nearby odd object, have actually been coded as NPCs, which could hint at them having some sort of interaction or purpose that hasn't yet been found.

Secondly, this is a great way to get a clear view of what is in, around, under, or behind different NPCs, or NPC-objects. An example of this would be the dead pigs on the table in 维克雷斯庄园. Players can see what is under them when they keep the spyglass trained on the tables, then use the directional keys to slowly spin the character itself to "face" away from the spyglass. All of the objects around the table that are coded as an NPC will suddenly disappear, leaving the player with a clear view of what is underneath or behind those NPCs.

Finding Hidden NPCs: This can be used to see NPCs that are hidden from the player. An example of this is the NPC: Travel Credit. This is not a real NPC, but rather a tracking marker for a quest related to Vadekius's Rest in 德鲁斯瓦. I used the spyglass here while exploring, and was surprised to see an NPC appear near a skeleton (screenshot submitted). Wondering if I could see it through humanoid tracking on my hunter, I switched characters and found that, yes, I could see the name of this "NPC", which was labeled as 'Travel Credit'. I could see this tracking NPC whether I was on a character that had completed the quest here or not. This means that the spyglass could potentially be used to find areas where there are humanoid NPCs that have yet to be interacted with or triggered.

Spelling Error?: Yes, there is what appears to be a misspell in the word "knave", displaying it instead as "nave". I wondered if this could have been intentional, since a nave can be a location (part of a church) or an object (the hub of a spoked wheel, such as a ship wheel or carriage wheel). So, just to be thorough, I looked up the other languages to see what the translations for their version of the 诅咒视觉 spell is, and based on what the other translations are, it seems that this is just a misspell, and that any hidden meaning behind "nave" is unlikely. (Although I do find it interesting that the translations hint towards the spyglass being used to spy on the opposite of sea-faring people.)
