So only alliance mages can get this? That’s silly, the book should be able to be sold on the AH. My Alliance mage would’ve made so much money, and my Horde mage would’ve loved to have this.

I want this one! A Bumblebee polymorph! I just changed my priorities for reputation. I'm grinding the Storm's Wake reputation even before I grind 7th Legion rep now. Got to get this bumblebee polymorph. Dark Iron Dwarves can wait.

Useful macro to make use of all the variants (substitute in the ones you have):

#shoptooltip
/tar Focus
/stopcasting
/castrandom Polymorph(Sheep), Polymorph(Black Cat), Polymorph(Bumblebee)
/run SetRaidTarget("target", 5)
/targetlasttarget

This will either take your focus as a target or, if you don't have a focus, your current target. It stops any other spell you are currently casting, applies a random polymorph from the list and then marks it with a Moon icon. If you are sheeping your focus target, it then re-selects your original target

I looked nearly everywhere for info on whether or not this polymorph would carry over after doing a faction change...

It does NOT. It changes the learned Bee polymorph to the Direhorn polymorph.

I grinded Storm's Wake reputation on my Void Elf mage because I was planning a faction change and wanted to get the bee polymorph if it did carry over. I bought the tome, used it, and cast the Bee polymorph a few times before buying the faction change.

Upon performing the faction change and changing into a Goblin mage, I logged in and found that my other polymorph variations had remained (the Rabbit and Black Cat polymorphs- the only other 2 I owned), but that the Bee polymorph had changed to the horde's Direhorn version.

So be wary! Doing a faction change will swap this variant to the direhorn spell, and probably vice-versa!
