Looted from the last boss in Mythic Dungeons, and Mythic+ end of dungeon chests.
not really cosmetic, but it's a bag! lol
people are always ridiculously scared by mythic 0 dungeons.
What we need to know is if it drops from the M+ end of dungeon chest.
"This potent reagent can be obtained deep within
of Kul Tiras and Zandalar."
I did about 20 heroic dungeons trying to get these before looking here to see it is only
dungeons that drop them. They should really clarify their item text, now I'm just pissed at having wasted my time.
/ranton So this seems like another great scenario where by the time you can make this gear... you're already at content that's giving 355 ± gear. Why even do tradeskills? We can't even sell the good stuff. /rantoff
This is a guaranteed drop from the last boss in a Mythic dungeon for everybody in your party.
I'm not going to put my hopes into WoW RNG with the (15) Hydrocores for one item, after spending two weeks in Mythic dungeons.
Tailors will be glorified bag %^&*!es from now on.:|
The of BfA professions.(##RESPBREAK##)4360##DELIM##Onyx1831##DELIM##Please be mindful of your language here. Please do not circumvent the profanity filters.
Another profession useless after 111. And Blizzard does not "listen" to its CUSTOMERS.
You get all your Hydrocores back if you scrap crafted item. Only hydrocores, nothing else. That's the way to reroll stats.
I think that makeing it account bound would help, on the situation of this item and Expulsom aswell that way you can atleast send it to other chars that can make stuff, you need instead of forcing ppl to reroll profession to get a specific item... unless you got millions of gold ofc...
I completed all mythics this week and just realized the Hydrocore is only useful for gear which I've already out leveled. Hopefully, new schematics for higher level gear will be added which can use Hydrocore. It seems that at least the Engineering profession is still under developed. For instance, I also got the
, but one of the required mats is apparently not even in the game.
Couldn't find the answer to this anywhere, are these obtainable only once per boss per week? Has anyone tried killing the same end boss twice or we just assume we can only receive one per week because that's what happens with normal loot?
EDIT: tried tonight to kill the same boss a second time, no hydrocore dropped, which effectively means that these are hard-gated, you can only obtain a fixed 10 per week.
#Blood Of Sargeras anyone?
So basically this is the reward for craftspeople members of raiding guilds, who by the time they have collected it, will be better geared than this will make, can't sell the item... WTF?
As for all you casual players, as far as Blizzard are concerned, GFY!
p.s How many times now have new expansions had pointless endgame professions?
This item should have been required for Heroics, not Mythic. Blizzard always underestimates the progression curve of it's players.
Putting these in Mythic dungeons- in particular with Mythic not being added to the LFG- is going to make these near impossible to obtain for casual players. I can count on one hand the number of mythics I did in all of Legion including the early Court of Stars and Arcway attunements. I can see maybe why they don't want to "give these away" in heroic dungeons but they should at least be available in them in an albeit low drop rate instead of a guaranteed rate as in Mythic. (Or, make Mythic available on an LFG tool gated by iLevel and non-keystone).
Whilst many people do raid and run Mythic/Mythic+ - there is a large segment that albeit not doing these, they are nonetheless using the followers/Command Table and leveling professions.
So Blizzard try hard to make Crafting totally useless and force players to go farming for transmog items for gold!
very very very hard to harvest! and last but worse
which Drop only by 7 NPC with max 15% drop chance! Do they really pay to employees who suggesting these methods? I think they trying to help Gold Digger players!
Unfortunately, this item is also needed to craft items for your follower's "Empty Equipment Slot" at the moment. These items are not bound to the crafter so you can sell/buy them on the auction house.
Good luck finding any since you can only get
from Mythic dungeons. This may change but currently, as of
, crafted items are the
to obtain follower items/gear.
Source / Profession
BFA Mission Table and Follower Guide
seems kinda useless
What kinds of mythics are you people running? Mythic0 isn't difficult. Casual players can absolutely obtain hydrocores. All you need to do is learn your rotation and learn boss/trash abilities. Mythic 0s aren't even as hard as TBC heroics used to be.
the tooltip should state 'mythic dungeons'.
I really do not understand why they have to force everyone to do mythic content. Some people do want to do it, and would rather play other aspects of the game instead. Sure everyone can do mythic content, that is not the issue, the problem is that they have to do it, to progress in some other part of the game. Of course it does not matter, because only a few perverted folk do not want to bother with mythic, and they are mostly gold farmers, who do not generate rl coin for blizzard....
Having Mining/Skinning on my main raiding character and these being BOP they are just taking up precious bag space with absolutely nothing to use them for, can't trade them with my under-geared alts that could actually craft upgrades for themselves (but the crafted items being BOP is stupid as well).
BFA is a content less expansion, everything is time gated so heavily / spread so thinly out, all it had going for it, was a decently leveling experience, everything else has just been meh at best, seriously considering just unsubbing and playing something else after hitting 120 on two chars.
- NM/HC dungeons = tolerable (because LFG), but not specially fun.
- Mythics dungeons = tolerable to get 340 ilvl gear, _not_ fun content (no lfg), wont set my foot in there again after i got the ilvl i needed.
- Mythic+ dungeons = the community is too toxic to pug, just can't be bothered / guild has the same few subgroups, where it's only those same 10 people doing it together.
(And don't like a single of the dungeons this expansion, a new low since legion/wod).
(Not to start going in to all the other boring areas of this exp at 120, the whole exp. feels shallow at max, compared to legion and even wod).
They should at least let us scrap them into few expulsoms.
As a LW, I already crafted the bop gear with them in first 3 weeks, now literally have no use at all to them. If we could scrap into expulsoms at least I could use them for some BOE gear / follower item I can sell.
Or give them a high vendor price so they are worth something, anything. They vendor for 50 silver atm.
You are talking about one pattern needing 15 hydrocore! That is 15 mythics! For 1 item! No I dont think so. This is suppose to be fun and I did enjoy making gear! No I am not liking this new change at all!
Ok, having to go mythic to get this means end tier craft professions are dead for every char of me except my main. I will _not_ get mythic equipment for each of my twinks with crafting profession and then go several mythic for each item, i don't even care to estimate how many hours you'd have to spend to craft enough cauldrons for an evening in a big raid. Either we get other means to aquire them, they are made tradeable (or at least account bound) or crafting is 80% dead to me.
Bliz is working at cross purposes. Their latest draw is adding new races to the game, but they persist in features that are not alt friendly. I leveled all profs to equip my toons first and foremost. In WOD we were allowed only 3 slots for crafted. In Legion, there were so many hurdles to leveling a prof that my toons had outgrown crafted gear long before they had the recipe. I can accept the 340 gear being BOP, but hydrocore are needed to craft follower buffs. Those buffs are bind on use and could be sent to alts. It seems outrageous having to run mythics just so followers might return a few more mats from missions. You can probably get more mats from the Scrapper.
For someone who only runs with the guild and I'm not on when others in the guild are on, THIS SUCKS!
Trying my hardest to collect these things as fast as I can. But mythics early on in the expansion are hard. I really wanna surprise my man with some max level armor which requires these as a reagent. Disappointed to say I am most likely only going to be able to create one.
Another thing that I will only make for transmog (or maybe an alt if I'm lucky). Kind of tired of never actually crafting gear for me to use because I already have better gear by the time I can make it.
Looted one today from HEROIC
Hydrocores will now have a chance to drop off of the final bosses in Heroic Dungeons. As per bluepost
Just received a Hydrocore as a reward from the final boss from Heroic Tol Dagor.
Patch notes of today say this has a chance to drop in Heroic difficulty going forward! Yasss!
Hydrocores now have a chance to drop off the final bosses of BfA dungeons in Heroic difficulty
So this item is useless if you don't have a crafting profession, yeah?
very disappointing, I'm a casual player just returning after many years away, I don't like running mystic or even heroic dungeons there no fun everything is so rushed, one group kicked someone because they wanted to do daily world quest ? nobody even will respond a friendly "Hi" in chat. I don't mind farming or grinding for mats but looks like I'm not going to get better than pvp grinding gear seeing as professions are all geared to mystic and raid players.
I submitted Hydrocores only dropping in Mythics as a bug - coz clearly only an idiot would create craftable gear that requires items that require
gear just to obtain. it's not even BoE gear so you can't trade it with an alt, friend, guild-mate or sell it. ==
If someone wants to let them know on Twitter, that would be cool. I refuse to join that crap.
You need these to make Cauldrons. The issue then becomes that if you farm those on an alt, you now have to run mythics on that alt. The whole point of an alt with a profession is to support your main. These would be find if at the very least they would be BOA and not BOP. Then you can ship them over.
seems they drop from the first random heroic per day now?
(correct me if i'm wrong)
Looted from the end boss of Mythic dungeons. Meaning that I'm likely never going to be able to craft Rough-hooked Tidespray Linen to give to my War Campaign followers in order to be able to get Tailoring regents from missions, meaning that I am otherwise going to have to spend hours farming for Deed Sea Satin. Joy.
WHAT THE FLYING FU--
I've gotten them out of heroics lately. Random and custom queues.
Tool tip on the PTR has been updated to: "
This potent reagent can be obtained deep within the Heroic and Mythic dungeons of Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
Hopefully that means it will drop from the last boss of *all* Heroics.
I've got 115 of those. I came here literally to see if I can spend them on something. As always, turns out no, because I'm already 380 ilvl, which makes those utterly useless.
On Proudmoore a large server, at this time there is only one item that is made with a Hydrocore in it. Pretty sad and most people could use some of the Items just for our Champions.
Do these drop for just anybody or do you have to have a craft that can use them ?
OMG the whining in some of these posts...Is hydrocores still useful, definitely to some professions for very useful items (Embroidered Deep Sea Bag (32 slot bag) or Mystical Cauldron for people who raid) come to mind.
What I don't understand is that people want higher level stuff and mats available to them, the same as people who put in the work at the higher level content. So the reward for Mythic running and Raiding would be what? To be honest I am a Guild Master for a leveling guild and run normal mythics with people to gear up, get mats, get experience, etc.. If you you find pug groups terrible join a guild and see if there groups that run normal mythics for fun. I do pug for the higher content and yes these are generally fast paced runs because they have learned the content and expect people to at least know the content having done it in LFR or normal runs. If your joining a Mythic or a Raid group and have no clue as to what is going on get out and run it on a lower level to get a clue.
Do not mistake me as a elitist but rather someone that appreciates the difference between a casual fun player and people that put in the extra time and effort at higher content and should be rewarded for it. Casual playing is fun and can be rewarding, join a guild if you want to get away from pug groups that's why they are there. But at the same time don't try to join a hardcore raiding group if your only a Saturday morning casual player.
My alchy-tank has a large number of these, my other characters are lucky to get 1 in 10 heroics. What gives?
not a very good drop rate and you need these to progress the Alch trinket to discover the next level and then another rare mat....and so on.
I'm a Blacksmith and very disappointed that there's still nothing I can do with these with 8.1 except craft follower equipment, which is nearly impossible to sell and too expensive to be worth using.
Just for everyone else wondering, these are now crafted from
Just ran +0 and +2 motherlode and got tidalcore no hydrocore
For those of you who maxed out your professions early and have not been back to the trainer for a while, all Profession trainers now have recipes to transmute
. The BFA season one mats no longer drop and all primary professions can now get the recipe to transmute these, not just Alchemy.
So um, as of the release of Dazar'alor.. are these things even obtainable anymore? Or are you just stuffed if you have crafting professions that have recipes that use them?
seems odd that for example, tailors, have the bag recipe that uses them... but if you can no longer get them.. how would you make bags for yourself or to sell?
So no wonder I can not find them in the AH you have to do Mystic to really get a good drop rate you have to use the item almost if you want anything than its useless once you have made it WOW amaze me. Being a warrior and taking hits from Wow is one thing but they rub it in If you chose blacksmithing and mining
I really dont get it, my io score is about 700 right now with my new main, and I have never seen this drop, wtf !
This explains why I never see any follower equipment for sale on the Auction House.
They all require a Hydrocore to make.
Many players, like me, do not enjoy dungeons anymore ... especially not mythic. Back in the day, dungeons were fun because people would cooperate. Now days every body just wants to zoom through them cheating at every corner they can with disregard to other players who might care about mechanics or strategy or maybe they simply need to complete that dungeon for a profession quest.
The rewards for dungeons (or raids for that matter) are less than what you can get from World Quests or Darkshore battle fronts (ilvl 400). Certain factions will reward ilvl 400+ items by simply completing 4 of their World Quests. I have received a 425 ring from an upgrade for simply completing 3 Tortollan world quests.
You can also scrap high level items to gain Titan Residuum which can be used to purchase high level items.
That's fine if you like to do do Mythic+ dungeons, but Blizzard please don't make me do them just to get a Hydrocore. Can I buy one for completing 100 World quests? That would be nice because I would much rather complete 100 World Quests than complete 1 Mythic dungeon.
Why is this component even still necessary for alchemists to make the Silas's Sphere philosophers stone ? This item is still relevant in the game, but seems impossible to get. I have probably run at least 75 heroic and mythic dungeons so far and not one of these has dropped, Damn.
This is a truly hateful situation.
I can't even access these Mythic dungeons, but can't progress my engineering without it.
I quit engineering in disgust. What a waste.
do not drop any more.
They have been replaced by
If you want Hydrocores for old recipes etc, every crafting profession has a cheap recipe that turns one
. The recipe is called something slightly different for each profession, but is always called "Aqueous _____". You probably already know the recipe, but if not, you can learn it from the profession trainers in Boralus, Dazar'alor, or Nazjatar.
"a chance of dropping" or "do drop" from heroic 5 man dungeons?
I've done 4 heroics in a row, ending the final boss, received zero.
I just want to be clear and understand, what do I need to do to get them?
Now I know how much it takes to make the Blingtron 7000 I have a new level of respect for those whose I have previously used. TY!
To convert Tialcore to Hydrocore. It costs 15! Tialcore to make 1 Hydrocore
That's crazy. As it takes 135 mythics to craft 1 item. Just to discover 1 at a chance.
