Primal Obiterum can
be used to upgrade the new crafted items added in 7.3. And these are the only crafted items that can be upgraded to 935. Other crafted items are still limited to 900.
Attempting to use this item to upgrade a pre-7.3 crafted item such as the

fails, and gives the error message "This item requires basic Obliterum to upgrade". Using "basic"
on pre-7.3 items still only allows it to be upgraded to 900. The same limit as before 7.3.

How exactly do we "upgrade" a Obliterum into a Primal version though? Is there a special forge of some sorts we do the combine in or is it just simply clicks in the bag?
As of 9.1, these no longer can be used to upgrade the corresponding gear. They are grey quality, vendor items.
It seems they did not work properly with the stat squish that came in Shadowlands pre-patch anyhow, so that could be the source of these becoming deprecated. It is unknown if these will ever be usable in the future. Up to you if you want to use a valuable storage spot for any of them, if you had any laying around. Unfortunately I had a bunch of obliterum I was hoping to sell at some point for people twinking or whatnot, so we'll see how long I hold on to them.
