Can be bought from 督军格尔库克 for 1 深渊纹章.
To see 督军格尔库克 you must go back to the old Silithus (if you defeated Argus, if not you don't have to go back). You can do this with the help of 罗诺姆 or 希多尔米.

They do not get added to the mount tab, they remain as an item in your bag with a duration of seven days. Pretty disappointing.

It also appears that there are only two colors, faction based. Alliance gets the blue battle tank, while horde gets the red one.

I see very little point for participating in this event unless you're very bored and got nothing else to do, there are no permanent rewards, only temporary items that take up bag slots.

Neither does it give the same feelings as it did when the gates actually opened. And yes, I was there.

其拉红玉共鸣水晶 (Horde-only) is purchased from 督军格尔库克* for 1x 深渊纹章.

It is a bag item, not consumed on "use" that only lasts the duration of the micro-holiday - similar to the 魔法扫帚 for Hallow's Eve. Sad day for mount collectors, but tows the company line on not making micro-holidays feel required like other "major" WoW holidays. (At least in 2018.)

The sapphire crystal is the Alliance version of the mount (bought on the other side of the stairs with the same currency from their war effort commander).

*Weper mentions there can be a phasing issue if you've completed the Argus raid from Legion. The NPC that can phase you is at the top of the stairs to the right of the gong (/way 33.33 80.73 罗诺姆).

(Edit: in 7.3.5 the item appears to be 7 in-game days. Not sure if intentional / subject to change.)

I dont know if this is intended or not, but I STILL have it in my inventory with 7 days left, like the days are not counting although "Call of the scarab" ended on 23 and now its 28 and I can still USE it and ride it... maybe a fix will come but for now I can use it...
Does anyone have the same?

As of today (Valentine's Day!) I still have this mount in my bag, usable, with "Duration: 7 days".

I still have mine as of 4/23/2018 on the alts that got one. Same with the multi use multi year long slowfall brews.

Maybe it will be like Warlords of Draenor where my holy priest got to keep his holy nova spell( A disc only spell that expansion) since he had it glyphed during Pandaria and it never got removed for some reason. (I still have screen shots of this)

I still have mine and use it somewhat frequently, but the duration has gone down from seven days to six.

My guess is you can be mounted on the War Tank for a total of seven days before the item becomes inert. Which honestly seems like enough time to last until next year's event to get it again.

Not to be confused with 红色其拉共鸣水晶, which is a permanent mount but can only be used in the instance.
