Are these additional flight points, or are they just a quick tutorial for new toons to the standard flight points? If I'm being asked for 15K gold, I'd like a clarification first.

How is this an investment? I play with 47 characters, and I can say that I don't need all flight points at all. I maybe use 5-10% of all the flight points. Furthermore, at lvl 60 you can fly almost anywhere. If anything they should make flying account wide payment, instead of unlocking stupid limited flight points for 15k.

Laughable money sink.

I just used it in the EK and learned 17 new flight points on a level 60 alt that solely leveled through dungeons and had 6 flight points (Elwynn and Ironforge).

When you purchase and learn this item, you will also automatically learn the Horde version 侦察地图：东部王国战役.

Note that the word "several" in the tooltip is not an accident - this toy, like the other flight point ones, does not let you learn ALL flight points on the continent - only SOME of them. Kind of a "greatest hits" of flight points that'll get you from A to B in a general sense, but not let you go to specific places without riding/flying there and learning them yourself.

Perhaps that's why the vendor cost on live is now 10,000 gold rather than the 15,000 gold listed here!

Any character that was created during or before Cataclysm will have already automatically learned every flight point in the game up to that point, by the way, and will learn nothing from these toys :)

Ugh, I bought this without reading first. Thought it gave you EVERY alliance (not neutral) flight paths in EK but noo, only a few you would've gotten if you were just questing through anyway. Literally just a waste of gold (not that I care)... Was hoping for at least a dozen extra flight paths :/ Do not recommend buying

As of patch 9.1.5 this now teaches you pretty much ALL flight paths in Eastern Kingdoms (except for Cataclysm zones) and it also explores all the maps for you. If you bought it before the patch you can simply use it again to gain all the new flight paths and exploration!

For the Cataclysm zones, you can use the new 侦察地图：大灾变的后果.

Before the patch it would only give you one flight path per zone and it didn't explore anything.

As of 9.1.5 using this toy grants the Eastern Kingdom Explorer achievement including all the sub achievements of exploring all the EK zones, and uncovers ALL of the flight points on the EK (as opposed to the "important" ones).

I presume the Horde equivalent does the same but I haven't checked it.

For those having all 10 heirloom maps, here are some short macros to learn all in case the toy box bugs out.
Just pull the macro icon to your action bar and (mouse) click until you learn all.
Last 2 maps in the sequence are faction specific.
