Let's hope is just a simulation.... can you imagine 20 invasions in the same area at the same time?
Will probably be a reward from the Broken isles invasions.
Here is some more information.
If you click the spell used by the toy, you can see the following information:
First, you gain the following buff:
Using Legion Invasion Simulator
Use your action bar to attack other ships in the simulation.
Implying this item actually
starts a minigame where you shoot down/attack other ships in some way
. It lasts a maximum of 5 minutes (channeled), or possibly less time (assumption) if you somehow fail or are otherwise defeated.
When you use the item, the cast is CHANNELED; similar to a steam tonk or other various items, you channel for the full duration (most likely until it expires or you "lose").
You are granted the following auras while channeling:
(You can't attack)
Apply Aura #321
(Don't know what this is yet, most likely something needed to flag you for the mini event, spawn the unit you control, and/or initiate the spawning of targets)
Regarding the "Apply Aura #321" seen above, a few other effects already utilize this aura. Comparing them may help understand what this does sooner. A few that also use "Apply Aura #321" are:
. This may just be an aura that prevents you from moving, who knows.
The "Summon player" portion of the immunity, along with everything else, leads me to believe this either has you controlling some sort of alternate vehicle/weapon and attacking ships, or controlling a copy of yourself that can somehow shoot projectiles. Are the other ships only those created by other players that had used this Toy? I doubt it and am guessing that NPC-ships spawn on their own for you to attack. If another player uses the item next to you, will you share the simulation or each be in your own? If shared, will you attack the same ships together, or be fighting each other?
There are a bunch of questions and possibilities, but for now we know this:
This toy is not purely aesthetic and triggers some sort of minigame where you attack/"shoot down" Legion ships, and perhaps other targets as well.
----- End Edit, OP Below -----
While this is purely speculation, I would assume this is a user-only item meaning others cannot see whatever it produces, similar to the Archeology toy reward that turns all nearby NPCs into demons and makes the world look like the Legion had taken over; nobody else can see what you do when you use that toy, and I doubt others will be able to see anything when you use this one. It's very unlikely that any highly intrusive (visually speaking) toys will have shared visuals across different players, assuming they modify the world in some way and not just the individual (and it's safe to assume this would).
sells the following items for
at Honored for 0
: An item with a Cauterize effect that provides an instant heal and then damages the player over time.
at Honored for 0
: A decorative item that summons a banner with the Legionfall logo.
at Revered for 0
: A toy which summons a dangerous portal. This item was originally added during Legion's alpha and players have been searching for it for months.
at Revered for 0
: An elixir which grant +500 to a primary stat. This is in the tradition of items from past expansions like Oralius' Whispering Crystal.
at Exalted for 0
: Summons a toy Legion ship which does battle! Seems like it will work similar to vehicle toys like Darkmoon Tonk Controller.
at Exalted for 0
: Tabard with the Legionfall Logo.
She also sells items which don't require any reputation:
For legendary armour: 0
tokens for Timeless Isle-style gear: 0
, used in the pre-patch, are back once again in 7.2. You earn Nethershards through Sentinax events on the Broken Shore and killing mobs.
Having purchased it and tried it - this is a toy of a mini-zep / tonk variety that interacts with mini-zeps and tonks (can shoot them), but is a floating legion ship instead (like Sentinax, but living room size). It has four abilities - two that shoot things, a speed boost on a short cooldown, and an ability with 3 minute cooldown that deploys tiny shootable critters. When used, the toy lasts for 5 minutes.
This is a fancy remote controlled tonk toy, with the appearance of a Legion ship. This has the standard 40 yard range as other tonk toys (the tonks, zeps, Iron Horde machines, shredders, planes ect). Like those, if you drive it beyond that range, you will lose control of it. This is particularly bothersome given its above average cooldown time of 20 minutes at the time of this post. It also cannot fly, but I don't believe any tonk toy is able to fly anymore as of 7.2.0.
The damage it can deal (to other tonk toys) isn't that impressive. Fel Cannon
does automatically aim at nearby tonks (similar to the Crashin' Thrashin Flyer), so you don't need to aim as precisely. Fel Artillery
is its second attack. It also has a speed boost, Engines to Full
but it's only 50% so it's not as fast as the Flyer's 150% or as useful as the Iron Horde machine's 50% + 50% damage reduction.
I'd personally put this as a relatively low tier tonk toy, as far as tonk combat goes. It lacks a damage reduction ability, cannot do the burst damage of some other tonks, has longer than average cooldowns on it's damaging abilities, and is slower than most of these toys as well. The additional fun ability mentioned in other posts that drops little critters around is entertaining, though, and makes this a unique tonk that's worth it for the collector.
I've also had a bug with this before that I haven't had with other tonks, where if you are moving or turning when you click the ability to summon it, you may move and remove the aura, stunning you and placing the toy on cooldown. Be sure to stay still when you click this one!
Should have just given us a Sentinax battle pet.
video saved me 250000 shards.
what an unimpressive and ultimately disappointing toy :(
This is one of the worst toys I have ever seen. Let's set aside the battle characteristics of the ship for a second, since they've already been covered rather extensively. The LIS:
Is a flying toy that cannot fly - it's locked at a fixed altitude.
Has a 20 minute summon cooldown. Would it be brokenly OP if we pulled it out more frequently than that?
Has very unimpressive spell effects. Of particular "ho-hum"-itude is the speed boost, which appears to thrust the sluggish thing forward at maybe 10% increased speed for an ungodly 2 seconds.
I bought the ship because I figure it would be kind of fun to go around zapping stuff, but overall, I wish I could get my crystals back. Do not purchase unless you are an utterly addicted tonk collector.
