This is what you get if you disenchant 50+ blues.

enchanting is a huge money maker. on my server (demon soul) these things sell for 5-7 gold each. running high end instances will usually get you 2-3 of these a run.
评论来自
8029
That varies per server on my server, Small Brilliant Shards go for about 50s, and large go for about 2-3g a peice. It really matters on teh server. But the small brilliant shards do start rollign in at around level 50.

Which dungeons should I try to solo farm for these at level 70 without stealth? I'd like to avoid most of the trash if possible.

Are there any craftable items that disenchant into these?

The best take on these i've gotten is when i went to strat for righteous orbs. the trash on the way to live side dropped 5 blue set items(valor, lightforge, shadowcraft pieces). Cannon master usually drops 2 blues and so does balnazzar. One run = 9 shards. One suggestion is that if you try strat for these set your inn to the flight path in EPL since its not really that kind of walk out the door reset/repeat kind of instance...you'll need to hearth after balnazzar and ride in again. Unless of course you have key to the city(which I don't yet), easiest way i've found to get crusader mats.

Personally, I like to goto BRD and just go past everything until Lord Incendius. Kill him, run back out, and reset. Takes maybe 3-4 minutes tops. Maybe not the fastest way, but I really dislike Bael'Gor because of the adds he spawns and the large amounts of mobs around him. The path to Incendius is easily navigated with killing only a fire elemental and maybe a dog or two.

As a 65 feral druid with only a couple blues and all rest in greens (some from before Outland), I'm currently farming some LBS for my own +25 agil on 2H.
* Bael'Gor is a definite no-no: he hits real hard even in bear mode, and I can't get him down and heal in cat mode;
* Incendius is a breeze: I just kill the last two fire elementals before him so that I can fight in a safer place and not get thrown out into the lava, but if careful, you can do the fight where he paths: kitty mode, dps as much as you can, pop a couple times to heal and regen (I'll work on a macro today to ease up on the switch/heal/switch) and he goes down with not much trouble; guaranteed LBS.
* Lord Roccor: you may want to farm him as well as it doesn't take much time; you can get an enchanting recipe, a core of earth (low freq. but I have gotten some), and, sometimes, you also get a druid reliq wich is lvl 52 so it will also DE into an LBS.
Tip: if you get one and you're using the other, just unequip yours, DE it, then loot him.
See his page for a description of where to fight him near the two brazers: works perfectly. Just beware the dogs as even lvl 49 they can see through stealth so don't get too close to them.
Doesn't take more than 10~15 mins to do both including going in/out and you get 1 maybe 2 LBS and maybe some other nice stuff.

When I need shards for my hunter, I will go to DM east and kill each boss. The only difficult part is if my pet does not resist many of hydrospawn's attacks. Aside from that, it's very easy to get each boss kill in. In an excellent run you can get 5 shards...at worst you'll get 2 from the final boss, all in about 20 minutes time.

I just get a few bosses in BRD, I keep forgetting the fire boss in there, but with him (ive only done this twice), as a 60 mage I just get Fire Ward, then when thats ran out I use Ice Barrier, and my Water Elemental and I can DPS him out. It isn't that hard. Still debating at 60 if I should do RFD for the small radiant shards or continue doing this, the small radiants sold all the time, still dont know if these do

I don't know are we talking about same instance, but BRD??? I went last night to get some shards for me. The best way is to kill "only" Bael'Gor , because he is the closest one and you dont need to fight even one mob he always drops items with 100% drop for Large Brilliant Shard. Beside he droped me
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=11225
along with couple of BoE blue items and couple of Tomes for mages and priests. I Have killed 8 bosses alone but If u want to be effective and quick just run in kill Bael'Gor ( best to fight him against the wall to avoid patrol) run out reset and all over again. You can do it in like 5 min. I have a 70 frost mage never died in there (ofc because of my high agility and def rating :) ) and he is NOT hard ,kill him over 100 times at least by just standing in one place spawning frostbolt , and not like I'm tier 6 but ppl are you going naked when you can't kill it???

Not the fastests but clearing scholomance usually gives around 7+ shards which i think is good . Lots of trash mobs though but easy otherwise. My server is so old that the price for LBS is ridiculous. 10 can cost 100g for example, 1 is about 17g at the cheapest. I'd hate to train enchanting there now with no main characters.

You can also do a full BRD clear.
Much more efficient, you should net around 20~ lbs and some random sbs per run. 40-50m per run, so you'll never run into lockout problems.

The fastest farm and which will give you 8-9 each run will be Stratholme. All you have to do is by entering the Backdoor (Undead side). As you enter the gates, the first boss, ''Magistrate Barthilas'' will run through the next gate up ahead, but dont worry let him do it. No just keep moving forward and find your way to the first encounter ''Baroness Anastari'' as she sometimes drops 2 blue, but for the most, always 1 blue, 1 green and also if you are seeking rep with Argent Daw, she will drop ''Corruptor's Scourgestone'' which can turn in for 500 rep. You will be able to get 7 of this in one single run, thats 3000 rep exept the boss/trash kills.
When you kill here, dont forget to enter the house and kill the Non Elite Npc inside so you will be able to enter Baron Rivendare 1/3.
Now you have killed first boss, and finished 1/3 and probably 1-2 Brilliant Shards.
Next stop if as you going down the stairs, just keep forward til you find ''Nerub'enkan'' at the next temple. Kill him and loot the cash. He sometimes dropps 2 blue items. And dont forget to kill the NPC inside the house/temple
As soon you exit the house, take left and through the gates, you will be trapped here for a few seconds just kill the rats or what ever spawns and continue forward and kill ''Maleki the Pallid'' .
Enter the house now, kill the NPC and dont forget to loot em, sometimes they dropp greens which can be DE to Greater Enternal Essence or Dreamdust.
Now hold on the right side and before you enter the big gates, look to the right and you will find ''Magistrate Barthilas'' who from the start espaced to warn Baron Rivendare. Kill him and loot the cash
Now ad you enter you will find alot of NPC which need to be killed so the last boss before Baron will spawn.
NOTE- When you have killed all those NPC, before you killing the last one, kite him to the entrance of Baron Rivendare temple. When you killed the last NPC, ''Ramstein the Gorger'' will spawn inside the temple, now go inside before he walks out and kill him inside so you dont have to waste 2-3 min waiting outside just to get the door to be opened, this will save you time. As you kill him, loot and AOE the 4 NPC which spawns after his death when finished, keep going inside and fight Baron him self.
He drops 3-4 Blues, sometimes
He can drop the Mount
And you gain alot of rep with Argent Dawn

I've found doing Strat Barron runs to be really efficient for getting shards. A quick clear can get about 7, a full clear can get about 10, plus 40g worth of vendor trash, and about 8 stacks of runecloth. On my server the cloth sells regularly for 4-6g a stack and the shards go for 7-10g each. Crypt Fiend parts and Bone Fragments also sell pretty well, and the chance of the mount dropping make it worth the time.
I got the mount today on about my 40th attempt :-)

I'm not putting them in at a low price. So what are these people making that demands all those shards? I don't think I used many for leveling my enchanting so I have no clue...

With the mobs in Strat having had their level lowered in 4.0.3, Strat is no longer the place to farm these. Anyone know where the best place to farm these is now post 4.0.3a ?
评论来自
719773
Post 4.1, I find the best way to farm these to be going into Blackrock Spire and going down. At 85 I can bypass almost all the mobs and run a circuit of all the bosses in that lower half in about 15 minutes. It nets 10 blue items from bosses, occasionally more or less depending on rarespawns and extra drops. If I do a full clear of the entire wing it takes me about 45 minutes, and I turn the cloth into Runecloth Boots to DE as well, in addition to DEing the other greens, which I actually don't see a lot of.
If I do a full clear of the entire insance, top and bottom, it takes me about an hour and a half. But when just farming for shards, I usually skip the top half because you have to clear a lot of mobs to get in and I just don't find it as efficient as sniping the bottom half repeatedly.

The best spot I've found is Blackrock Depths. With the brewfest remote I spend no time traveling here. A run takes me exactly 10 minutes and yields 13-16 shards, depending on drops and whether the rare spawn is up. When done I can hearth out, and with the remote having only a 60-minute cooldown I can come back whenever I have 10 more minutes to spare.
Port in, kill Hurley, Plugger & Phalanx. Ignore Ribbley. Head out the front of the bar, kill Arglemach and Angerforge. Nothing prior to Angerforge drops high enough level blues to DE to large brilliants. Head back through the bar, out the back, and jump down. Kill Incendius, head around and up killing Fineous, then kill Stigliss and Verek in the bank.
After the bank, the biggest timesaver here is being able to jump the gap back to the bar, after which you finish up the instance, making sure to look for the rare spawn, Panzar, after Flamelash. Engineering nitro boosts work. Sprint / dash work, but you need good timing. The goblin racial should do it as well. Heroic leap probably doesn't, but I haven't personally tested it. If you can't jump this gap, going back the long way will probably add about five full minutes to your run.

With the advent of old world flying, the entire blackrock mountain complex is insanely easily accessible for Alliance characters (it's literally a one-minute flight over the mountain range from stormwind keep and you're there). Farming LBRS/UBRS is a good run (boss sniping can be good too for LBRS) And unlike BRD, the spire drops DE into only top level old world mats (illusion dust, greater eternal essence, large brilliant shard). It remains the only instance to do so with the nerfs to strat scholo and DM.
The only other place thats even remotely worth a worth a check out at this point is AQ
20
10, and that place drops nexus crystals as well (not to mention raid lockouts)

All the advice here is very dated and all pre-Cata for the most part. The post-Cata advice is still lacking the mention of which entrance or area of the instance one needs to go to.
Added on Aug 16, 12: You CAN spend honor on blues and shard them, but my chanter does NOT pvp (I'm a keyboard turning mage so I keep my squishy azz out of the BGs for
your
sake!). Running BRD takes way less time than WSG.
As of patch 4.1
Strath (Live Side) - Large Radiant Shards
Scholo - Small Radiant Shards
BRD (Ring of Law) - Small Brilliant Shards
BRD (Upper City) -
LARGE Brilliant Shards
The Spires - Too many mobs that cant be skipped so I didnt even try.
If you do a full run of Upper City you will net 10-12 shards, depending on if you kill the Emperor without killing the Princess in order to score his extra loot. Also depending on if you trigger the stone sentinel boss at the bar (I did not as I knew how many bosses there were and how many shards I needed).
My run netted me Ironfoe as well. It sharded into two Nexus Crystals, which then sharded into four Small Prismatic Shards.
Different entrances = different results when sharding so know how to get to the section you need to be in
before
heading out!

I also find that DE'ing ilvl 55-60 PvP blues (50-60 honor each) to be a decent way to get these. This might be more, or less, efficient depending on the price of shards compared to other items obtainable with honor.

With the price of
shards
these days (due to no more Strat zergs) and the profit that can still be made from
强效属性
,
十字军
,
极效智力
and even
极效全能
, it is well worth considering actually farming for them yourself from bosses in BRS, if you can spare the time. But you can still make profit from all four of those enchants even if you buy the
shards
at their exorbitant prices straight off the AH. Just not as much (unless you consider your time spent farming worth less per hour, in which case it is well worth your gold to just front up, according to availability and price). ;)
As a level 85, you should have no problem forming a fairly efficient boss-killing route in LBRS, though. Then just weight up whether it is better to simply sell the shards or turn them into enchants. Whichever gives you the most return!

I don't believe this was mentioned previously, but when you first enter the quarry outside the BRD dungeon entrance, you will see a great big mob walking back and forth known as the Behemoth. He drops a blue called the Vilerend Slicer. This DE's into a large brilliant shard.
BTW He's not rare-he's there every time, you just have to look around. The drop rate for the blue is 100%.

I'm a pally without Enchanting. I however still solo farmed these shards very easy. I went to lower and upper black wing spire. Picked up 11 shards per run. As of right now patch 4.1 all you need is a Enchanter in your group to DE any equipment drop. The enchanter does not have to enter the instance with you or even be anywhere near you. My Enchanter was in Dalaran at the times I was farming these shards. I'm sure many people know about this but have not really put it out there for those who don't.

If you are an enchanter and want to collect some
Large Brilliant Shards
,
Blackrock Depths
and the area before the entrace
to the instance are excellent for doing this.
Go as if going to the entrance to BRD. You will go from the zone "
The Molten Span
" into a large inner cavern called "
The Grinding Quarry
". Walk towards the entrace to BRD and you will see a squarish pedestal on the floor ahead.
From here you will able to find "
The Behemoth
". He is a rare mob which has about 4,5k life and has been nerfed since his appearance. He will always drop the "
Vilerend Slicer
" a rare-quality main-hand fist weapon, which will always disenchant into a . He seems to have a rather quick respawn, about every 10 minutes. He is rather larger than any other of the mobs around, but if you can't locate him just try the following command:
/tar The Behemoth
, and you will be able to see quickly if he is about or not.
Make your way to the BRD instance.
On the way, if you have Tailoring as a profession, make sure you kill "
Overmaster Pyron
" as well. He is outside the insance and if a fire elemental so very easy to spot. He has a good chance of dropping
Pattern: Cloak of Fire
and occasionally as well.
Once you have entered the instance you will see on you right an "
Abandoned Mole Machine
" *Thank Silvanas, that moles are forgetful!* Nowadays, BRD is much easier to navigate bacause you no longer need the Shadowforge Key to open gates and because of this lovely device which effectively can teleport you to another two areas of the instace without having walk too much.
You wil get two options: 1) "Just past the Grim Guzzler" or 2) "
Into the Domicile
". Choose the second one.
You will appear in a small room where and the "Abandoned Mole Machine" will be there. Come out, turn right and right again, and go down the stairs and straight ahead. You will find some mobs just outside the doorway as you go into a large open area called "
Shadowforge City
" with two terraces. You will be on the southern terrace and in the centre, below, you will see "
Lord Incendius
" and "
The Black Anvil
" - which is where a very devoted and patient blacksmith can craft the legendary
Sulfuron Hammer
.
You will see some other mobs infront of a doorway in the centre of the semi-circular terrace you are on. In the hall you will see some other mobs, and further ahead in "
The Black Vault
" you will find a boss and his pet: "
Warder Stilgis
" and "Vilek". You will get a Large Brilliant Shard from disenchanting what he drops.
Additionally, you can jump down kill "
Lord Incendius
" and disenchant what he drops.
Once you kill "Lord Incendius", go to the
NE entrance
and go up into the
Hall of Crafting.
You will find "
Fineous Darkvire
" walking around here. His drop will also dienchant into a . Again, if you can't spot him use:
/tar Fineous Darkvire
Go back down and go SW past the "The Black Anvil", over the bridge and through the gap in the two large walls. Just follow the large walkway called "
The Darkiron Highway
". You will see lots of clusters of mobs, but you can easily avoid aggro as long as you don't walk to close to them. At the end of the walkway you find the boss "
Bael'Gar
". Kill and disenchant the drop - sometimes you will only get a
Small Brilliant Shard
from disenchanting his drops.
Now run back the way you came and on the right you will see a rather large opening with some mobs in front you. You can walk close to the wall and avoid aggro, but sometimes the demons there will pick up you scent and attack you, though this will not aggro the rest of the mobs. You will enter a cavern and right infront of you you will see a gate with a doorway. Walk to this, open it and you will be
back at the entrance
of BRD. Go out, find "
The Behemoth
", and repeat the process, you should be able to get a stack of these pretty quickly. Remember to
reset the instance
before you go back in.
"Long die Sylvanas!"
- Nhuvasarim, Die Todeskrallen.

As others have already stated, Upper and Lower Blackrock Spire are the best places to get this. BRD isn't worth the hassle. If you do lower and upper BRS, you can net about 20 shards give or take two or three. I came out of both with 20, though one came from a rare's blue drop and the other came from a green that dropped in the instance.
Doing UBRS/LBRS and killing all mobs will net you ten tons of Runecloth which has been selling decently on some servers (Dragonmaw-PVP, 11+g a stack). You can always turn it into bolts and sell it, or make Runecloth Headbands and DE them for Illusion Dust which sells very high due to its rarity.
Originally I ran UBRS/LBRS for the mats for the +22int to staff, but that was on an 85 hunter. This time, I ran it dual-boxed with a 65 resto shaman and a 67 death knight tank. Earth Shielded my DK and pulled one (sometimes two if I couldn't help it) group at a time. Only one death (Beast knocked my resto shaman into a group outside his lair and I didn't notice fast enough to tab over to heal myself).
My enchanting was stuck at a level where I needed the greens for leveling it up more than anything. (Resto shaman is the enchanter in this case.) The Runecloth went to my mage so that she could level her tailoring. I got about 85 bolts out of the cloth I picked up while in there. Plus tons of Rugged Leather, which went to my baby hunter for her leatherworking.
All in all, an excellent journey and a worthwhile one at that. My enchanter got her mats, my tailor got her mats, and my leatherworker got her mats. If you're soloing this, obviously you can't do all of these at the same time, but any greens can still be DE'd by an enchanter if your enchanter isn't high enough leveled to go inside. And if all else fails...beg a friend to run your enchanter through.

Everyone comment how to get this by soloing some boring dungeons blablabla, but if you're a lazy person like me you gonna take another way to get this other than buying from AH, and there is!
Since 4.2 came everyone raiding or just doing heroics or even pvp must be overflow with JP's and honor's now you can make use of them except to buy 6 honor mount you can buy a pvp gear that cost 55honor like
军士的斗篷
and de it, if you have
you'll earn more LBS occasionally.
Note: you can buy 250honor with 375JP
HF de-ing :)

To expand upon the above comment, which is for enchanters the absolute easiest way to farm these shards:
Figure 1 random bg = minimum 300 honor with bonus.
Tol Barad every 2 hours, which early and late are rather more or less run and capture the things in 5 minutes = 500+ honor, plus the Tol Barad quest = 200 honor.
If your really up to it, theres Wintergrasp, which is more free honor wating on q's.
So.... 4 hours minimum play time , assuming you win both TB battles should net about 1200 honor minimum. Wintergrasp if your really farming honor, in which case your going to be in bg q's too:))....but at minimum 1200. Now the item above is easy to get, and is cheap, but, if you don't mind heading to the Frostwolf Quartermaster at 58.0, 33.6 (everyone forgot about him, eh?) in Hillsbrad Foothills, then you will save 10% honor. 50 honor buys you 1 of 4 items that DE into LBS... Trivial, yes, but if your spending 1k honor, it adds up....1 free shard for every 10 plus guild procs. They sell for 40-50 g on my server which = approxiamtely 5 gold saved every buy; (50 honor DE's into 50g, so 1 honor = 1 gold). Buy 200 and boom, saved 1k worth of *honor gold* ( not necessarily at once, but that's the point..over time, it really adds up). (Based on my server economy, yet still the absolute cheapest way to obtain this item ATM in game.)
Also ( I still don't know how to link stuff here ), there is The Frostwolf Clan Tabard that can be had for 2679 honor (at my rep and guild rep, possibly 3k base..unconfirmed), a mount I guarantee 75% of the player base has no idea exists, Horn of the Frostwolf Howler available for 2k honor (btw in comment above says 6 mounts...there are actually 8...the 6 normal ones, the frostwolf and the mammoth from wintergrasp), and faction rep does NOT matter, as well as a Frostwolf Battle Standard.

I find it easiest to farm just Upper Blackrock Spire for these. It takes me around 15-20 minutes to do a clear on my 85 mage. I run through as many mobs as possible to aggro them, spamming arcane explosion and loot them for Runecloth. Each run gave me:
9 x Blues from the bosses, that disenchant into Large Brilliant Shards
4-5 x Stacks of Runecloth
a few greens (Illusion dust), and trash.
Tailor the Runecloth into
Runecloth Headbands
, and you can disenchant them into Illusion Dust, with a few Greater Eternal Essences and the occasional Large Brilliant Shard.
Run back out, reset instance and repeat :)

If you got a low level enchanter you can also try running the level 60-70 BC random dungeons. Each time you get a satchel with a blue item, and they disenchant into Large Brilliant Shards. Sometimes you even get two shards for one item with the guild perk.

as of 2/18/2012, patch 4.3.2 on the aerie peak server, alliance these things have started to rise in price, they used to be 3-5g each, recently though in the last few weeks demand for them has somehow skyrockted again, maybe due to people wanting the twink enchants, and and the agility enchant, and of course crusader (i make a killing on crusader)
I came here to see where to farm them, going to try BRD a few runs, you also forget to mention that if you do a full clear, you can not only clear each boss, but there is other valuable stuff, like Enchant Weapon Firery from 1 of the bosses, and if you hit the bar, can vendor there, and the pointy hat vendor (forget name atm) sells semi-rare leathwrorking pattern, black dragonscale something, sure to sell on AH for 50g+ depending on competeition, this server seems to eat up all kinds of patterns, i make a few 1000 gold on the weekends easily just picking up outlands and old school patterns, that may have not been seen for awhile or not posted often...do your research =)
So back to point of post, shards are now going for 28g each as of tonight, 2 for 45g...so they are insane...i had been stocking up on them for cheap for awhile for crusader enchants, oddly enough the orbs are only 7-10g each so i got plenty of those and dont need to farm living for those, but shards seem to be no longer feasible to just buy them for crusader, even if crusader is going for 2-300g per vellum of it (*smiles*)
So better get to farming these again (sigh)

You can easily farm as much as 60 of these per hour in BRD:
Enter BRD and use the mole machine to get "Just past the Grim Guzzler". The first doorway gets you to Flamelash for the first loot. From there go on left to the 7 Dwarves; their chest contains the next two items. Also, sometimes you will meet Panzor en route. Go on to kill Magmus and Thaurissan for another three items. Get naked, and get killed, so you won't have to run back but can just use the mole machine again past the Guzzler. Jump down to kill Incendius. Turn around to the stairs where you will meet Fineous. The next doorway gets you to the Black Vault where you can kill Warder Stilgiss and his dog. Open the portrait for a look at today's Dark Keeper; he is often nearby for a green BoE.
Get out, enter the next doorway and you are in the domicile, where the mole machine can take you back to the entrance. Rinse and Repeat.
All this can be done in about 15 minutes, and all items will DE into Large Brilliant Shards.
(Note 1 - you can see Black Rock Mountain peek to the northeast from Elwynn and Stormwind, and you can fly there in about a minute.)
(Note 2 - you can add "The Behemoth" to your targets; he is a rare spawn you can encounter outside BRD on your way to the entrance who respawns very quickly, is easy to kill and also drops an item that DEs into a Large Brilliant Shard.)

BUT.
I found an alternate solution to those who are in the same situation as me, and it all costs 55 honor points.
The item is:
Insignia of the Alliance/Horde.
Yes, The PvP trinket
anyone
at
any level
can obtain. You need to have 200 enchanting to DE it, and it pops out the wonderful Large Brilliant Shard every time.

Also... 107 runecloth / 1 pristine black diamond / 5 patterns/plans / 1 Heart of Fire / various unneeded grays and foods
Works for me for one run.

If you are returning from a long break and are wondering why these are not very valuable anymore, it is due to the changes to enchants. Most enchants now have no level requirement and scale down to the level of the character. As your character gains levels, the power of the enchant will increase up to the level of it's original format.
For example,
附魔武器 - 巨神像
would scale down so that a level 10 could use it without the character being unkillable. The damage absorption would be appropriate for that level. Once your character hits 90 or higher, the enchant will cap off at 7,500 absorption.

This is the route I take for 100 shards per hour from BRD:
1. Set your hearthstone to the Iron Summit in the Searing Gorge.
2. Make your way to the entrance of BRD, checking for
The Behemoth
rare spawn in the underground quarry area before the instance portal for an extra shard.
3. Enter the instance and take the mole machine past the Grim Guzzler.
4. Kill
Ambassador Flamelash
.
5. Check for
Panzor the Invincible
rare spawn in the next room for an extra shard.
6. Continue onward and kill
The Seven
.
7. Continue down the ramp and through the doors into a large room and light the 2 braziers on the far side using the torches dropped by the Flame Keepers. The large door will open. Kill
Magmus
.
8. Continue and kill the final boss
Emperor Dagran Thaurissan
.
9. Hearth out and fly back to BRD.
DO NOT RESET THE INSTANCE
.
10. Enter BRD again and use the mole machine to go past the Grim Guzzler. Hop down to your left and kill
Lord Incendius
.
11. Head northeast through the doorway and kill
Fineous Darkvire
.
12. Keep going and kill
Warder Stilgiss
.
13. Use the Character Stuck feature in the help menu to kill yourself. Enter the instance to revive and then exit. Reset the instance and repeat.
Note:
If you're quick enough, you will be able to use the stuck feature more than your hearthstone (even after killing
Emperor Dagran Thaurissan
). This ends up being much quicker because you avoid flying back to the instance the majority of the time.
I tested this for 5 hours and received ~100 shards every hour and never got locked out of the instance.
Enjoy!

Hello everyone, I have made a really nice guide on how to obtain
Large Brilliant Shards
in
Blackrock Depths
.
You can find the
Blackrock Depths
dungeon in
Blackrock Mountain
. Once you are inside the dungeon go to the right and talk with the
Abandoned Mole Machine
and select the
first option
.
Once you get teleported turn around and jump down. That's the point where you want to kill the first boss which is called
Lord Incendius
.
Once he is killed turn around once again and keep walking straight forward until you see a little dwarf called
Fineous Darkvine
and kill it.
Then continue your walk and once you went through the first doorway go to the left where you will find another doorway with the third boss inside which is called
Warder Stilgriss
.
When he is killed take the left doorway and keep walking straight forward and that's the point where you want to talk to the
Abandoned Mole Machine
once again and select the
second option
.
You will get teleported and when you are teleported just walk straight forward through the doorway and kill the boss called
Ambassador Flamelash
.
When he is killed, keep going until you reach the end of the dungeon. When the last boss is killed, to quit the dungeon quicker than walking, use the addon called
Serverhop
.
Open your group finder, use the
Serverhop
, join a group and then immediately leave it. Just wait one minute to get teleported back out.
At that point you can now start
disenchanting the dropped loot
and
reset the dungeon
to repeat the process.

Hello, friends, and my apologies fellow Enchanters if I am letting the cat out of the bag.
I just ran
Ragefire Chasm
as a
level 72 WW Monk
. It was quite easy and short. The
mobs were level 60
due to the new
scaling introduced in 7.3.5
. While
I continued to get Linen Cloth
, one interesting thing is that
I was receiving item level ~56 "greens"
, but they had the same appearance/names as the low level ones you would have found prior to scaling.
Turns out this one run yielded me
6 Large Brilliant Shards
.
While it makes farming lower level mats a bit confusing, at least everyone will have plenty of access to the enchantments that require Large Brilliant Shards. It has been a long time (roughly since Cataclysm) since I made a point of farming these, and I think back then I would buy some Honor gear and disenchant it, and iirc it was for Agility enchants on weapons from Furbolgs rep? My apologies for any inaccuracies there, trying to remember purely off nostalgia, clearly I'm on the right site to Google and fact check myself if that were my intention.
Take care, happy farming.

Due to the changes with Enchanting it's now much faster to obtain Large Brilliant Shards by running Molten Core. One MC run netted me
117 Large Brilliant Shard
from de'ing the purples. In addition I also came out with
52 Rich Illusion Dust
and
38 Greater Eternal Essence
.
