Used in a M+2 darkheart and it proc'd 63 times over 22 minutes, resulting in something like 1pp20seconds?
May have been due to being a shaman and cleave heals. not sure.
Works on atonement heal as disc priest.
As a resto druid, I find this trinket activating too much on me instead of my target. Must be the hots =/
This trinket does not appear to have any sort of ICD on applying the shield. The shortest interval I observed between applications of
was 1.8 seconds.
It can proc off of HoTs (including Echo of Light) as well as direct heals.
It can also refresh an existing copy of its self, but does not roll the previous amount into the new buff.
It is not affected by personal healing increase buffs, but it
affected by healing received effects such as
As a resto druid, this trinket (heroic version) seems to be doing roughly 5% of my total healing according to logs. This was on fights with a lot of incoming damage, so the shields would pop rather quickly, but if there's not much damage then you probably don't really care how good your trinkets are anyway. Surprisingly nice, but obviously a bit random.
This trinket procs from your follower healing your character.
Farseer Nobundo (Shaman follower) healed me when I was playing Enhancement spec for world quests. The shield appeared on my character leading me to realise I had forgotten to switch my trinkets around. I'm now keeping it on for world quests as I believe it could allow me to put more maelstrom into damage rather than self-healing.
Nothing too major, but interesting nonetheless.
In case anyone was on the fence about this item since it only has Crit plus a proc chance...
I'm running an 855 Vial of Nightmare Fog and an 850 Naglfar Fare (which has a very similar effect but with a healing effect to boot) and both of trinkets proc CONSTANTLY. I regularly see them proc on the same target at the same time, or on different targets at the same time, or even have more than one of each at the same time. Naglfare Fare's bubble looks similar to but less obvious than a PW Shield and the Vial's bubble is very distinct with a large purple flame aura,...I noticed on several occasions last night knocking out Kara attunement Mythics that I had 4 bubbles, (2 of each) up on 2 or more targets at a time. Of course I was getting both on the tank most often adding up to a consistent 250,000+ HP shield that made a big difference over time.
Over the course of 4 Standard Mythics the 2 of them put together consistently added up to 8% of my total healing with no input or management required on my part. A lot of guides and forum conversations will tell you to use Cocoon of Enforced Solitude and/or Amalgam's Seventh Spine for Mana recovery (at least as a Holy Priest) but if you are lucky enough to get 1 or both of these at a decent ilvl I so GO FOR IT. Why wear Mana trinkets when you can just heal for free instead right?
(I also found My Holy Mastery HoT to be overhealing a buttload so I've been shifting a little heavier towards Crit vs Mastery so these seem to be helping quite a bit.)
You might want to consider using this trinket as a
- especially a Brewmaster Monk. The crit helps with the passive
for Brewmasters and as of now it has been confirmed to proc the shield very often.
Possibly Paladins and Bears could also make good use of this, with DeathKnights and Warriors having no access to a healer loot table.
This trinket procs off of leech healing. I consistently use it as enhancement (not in dungeons of course) during solo play and i'm practically invincible because i got an 880 version.
i'd use a lesser version of it as resto (my main spec) , it's pretty powerful.
If you use ElvUi frames you can add a Spirit Fragment tracker by whitelisting "221878" (Spirit Fragment)
This lets you add an icon onto raid frames to show trinket procs
Lvl 50 , monk , I got Heroic Warforged
+24 critical strike
Up to 486 damage.
due to self healing my Windwalker monk , probably every 15-25 sec proc.
