I wonder if we have the instant proc if this will give us a extra one?...
This Darckli person sounds like a real mouth breather.
"Did I ever tell you how I got the nickname, 'The Dragon of the West?' It's more of a demonstration, really."
In case you are wondering, you will be able to transmog Legion legendaries to other appearances and vice versa, as stated by
If they had allowed legendaries to work in instanced PvP, this one would be one of the most overpowered!
UPDATE: The latest Beta patch has adjusted many of the passive effects of these legendaries. The following represents the most current in-game data as of August 28/16 (many of the Wowhead tooltips have not been updated yet!)
This is one of the new legendary world drops that are coming in Legion. Some of these drops are class-specific, and others are shared between classes (or have no class requirement at all!)
At the beginning of Legion, only 1 legendary item can be equipped at a time. Over time, as the expansion progresses this cap will be increased (
Here is some further information about these items:
The legendary items are intended to be used for the entire expansion. They are currently item level 895, and it remains to be seen whether this will change prior to release, or during Legion itself (for comparison, Mythic mode gear from
is iLvl 880).
Thus far, it appears that legendaries will drop from dungeon bosses, raid bosses, PvP Strongboxes, Mythic+ Weekly Caches and World Quest Caches (rewarded after completing 4 world quests).
As it stands, these will be the ONLY sources that will yield legendaries
. Blizzard may expand where they can come from in the future (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,

Legion Live Developer Q & A
While the legendaries are rare drops, they are not fully random - there will be ways to target specific items (
More difficult content will have a higher chance of dropping these items (
It should be nearly impossible to get a duplicate legendary item. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
Some level of bad luck streak protection also applies to legendary items (i.e. the chances of you getting a legendary will slowly increase if you don't have one drop). (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
If the slot for the item is transmoggable, you can transmog these legendaries to other appearances, and vice versa (unlike legendary items from previous expansions) (
Legion legendary procs/effects will be disabled in instanced PvP (
Blizzard plans to institute a "suppression aura" in effect for a certain number of weeks after Mythic raids are available, which would disable any legendary item passive effects (they would still function normally as high-ilvl regular items, with the primary/secondary stats intact).
- As per the latest information, Legion legendaries WILL BE allowed in all raid situations,
INCLUDING Mythic difficulty
. The previously noted "suppression aura" in Mythic will not be implemented. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
All legendary bonus effects are passive "Equip" effects (there are no "Use" effects on these items)

Who is Darckli?
I got this today off Dragons Of Nightmare (N).
just today droping for me in DT +4. I made video in dungeon, and at the end drop of this legendary item :)
This just dropped for me doing LFR. I didn't even know I looted it until I left group and went to repair.
Okay, since no one has mentioned this, the added range to Dragon's Breath makes this hugely problematic. Using this anywhere in a Mythic or Mythic + dungeon is basically guaranteed to pull half (or more) of the room. It's as bad as Barrage ever was, but without a reliable animation to show just how much is being pulled. As another poster mentioned, the animation does not change for this. So using Dragon Breath puts a little flame cone in front of you for about 5 yards and then mobs 30 yards away suddenly aggro. It isn't just directly in front either, the 25 yard range boost applies to the entire cone so mobs far to the left and right of you aggro as well. The 100% damage boost is nice, but the added range makes this basically unusable in any difficult content as it almost guarantees you will pull entire rooms.
The damage boost is nice, the range boost is a nightmare.
Just had this drop for me after a battleground win. I didn't realize you were able to get legendaries like that. I was very pleasantly surprised. :)
Animation just great!
And then the movie with a new animation.
I was in an LFR group when this dropped for me
You are missed, sweet prince. I hope you return one day. The range extension on Dragon's Breath was so fun in PvE.
