Binds when picked up
Equip: Anti-Magic Shell's duration is increased by 100% and any damage absorbed is healed.
Requires Level 110
Volatile Shielding Talent
Requires Death Knight (Frost)
Requires level 75
Your Anti-Magic Shell turns your enemies' pathetic magic against them, absorbing 30% more magic and dealing 25% of all damage absorbed as Frost divided among nearby enemies when it expires. Runic Power generated from absorbing magic is reduced.
Frost DKs are going to be fun in raids, bummer that they reduced the amount from 100 to 25% and its back to 100%
this looks like it's going to be an incredibly useful tanking cloak, and pretty nice for other specs too in certain situations
EDIT : incredibly useful tanking cloak in some situations, nice stat stick in others
In case you are wondering, you will be able to transmog Legion legendaries to other appearances and vice versa, as stated by
UPDATE: The latest Beta patch has adjusted many of the passive effects of these legendaries. The following represents the most current in-game data as of August 26/16 (many of the Wowhead tooltips have not been updated yet!)
This is one of the new legendary world drops that are coming in Legion. Some of these drops are class-specific, and others are shared between classes (or have no class requirement at all!)
At the beginning of Legion, only 1 legendary item can be equipped at a time. Over time, as the expansion progresses this cap will be increased (
Here is some further information about these items:
The legendary items are intended to be used for the entire expansion. They are currently item level 895, and it remains to be seen whether this will change prior to release, or during Legion itself (for comparison, Mythic mode gear from
is iLvl 880).
Thus far, it appears that legendaries will drop from dungeon bosses, raid bosses, PvP Strongboxes, Mythic+ Weekly Caches and World Quest Caches (rewarded after completing 4 world quests).
As it stands, these will be the ONLY sources that will yield legendaries
. Blizzard may expand where they can come from in the future (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,

Legion Live Developer Q & A
While the legendaries are rare drops, they are not fully random - there will be ways to target specific items (
More difficult content will have a higher chance of dropping these items (
It should be nearly impossible to get a duplicate legendary item. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
Some level of bad luck streak protection also applies to legendary items (i.e. the chances of you getting a legendary will slowly increase if you don't have one drop). (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
If the slot for the item is transmoggable, you can transmog these legendaries to other appearances, and vice versa (unlike legendary items from previous expansions) (
Legion legendary procs/effects will be disabled in instanced PvP (
Blizzard plans to institute a "suppression aura" in effect for a certain number of weeks after Mythic raids are available, which would disable any legendary item passive effects (they would still function normally as high-ilvl regular items, with the primary/secondary stats intact).
- As per the latest information, Legion legendaries WILL BE allowed in all raid situations,
INCLUDING Mythic difficulty
. The previously noted "suppression aura" in Mythic will not be implemented. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview,
All legendary bonus effects are passive "Equip" effects (there are no "Use" effects on these items)

Important note regarding this cloak and Mythic +
If its Necrotic week, you can reset your stacks pretty much whenever you want with AMS, assuming you dont take enough spell damage to break the bubble. Normally AMS lasts 5 seconds and the debuff is 10 seconds which means you have to kite for at least 5 seconds, but with this legendary you can just pop it and reset even with boss smashing your face in. Very, VERY useful especially on longer fights in high m+ when the boss doesnt stop to melee.
In case anyone is curious, this does stack multiplicatively with the unholy talent Spell Eater. With both the talent and the cloak, your AMS will last 20s.
So.....does the carpet match the drapes in Acherus?
I will let myself out.
This also drops from veiled wyrmtongue caches. I just got one and it spooked me good.
I really don't understand why this cloak is getting such a bad rap. It is constantly being ranked bottom. However, despite having 7 legendaries, this is the one item I won't give up. With it, I am able to come from 10% and go right to 100% for a few seconds in almost ALL situations with just an Antimagic Field. Low health? Stand in some yuck and I am full health again. The refresh is once a minute for AMS, so it is almost always available as a defensive. Using this cloak alone, I am often able to solo 20% of a Mythic 10 boss (due to the healing effects and magic counter), when it would otherwise be a wipe. So please stop hating on the cloak and give it a try. You will find that it is WAY more powerful than the reviews, IV, and other sites have ranked it.
This dropped randomly for me from a boss in the Eye of Azshara dungeon on Mythic.
