This is the epic gem that Jewelcrafters will be able to cut in Legion. As it is not Bind-on-Pickup, it can be traded, and bought/sold on the Auction house.
It is crafted by Jewelcrafters, and requires the following materials:
x1 (Rare gem)
x1 (Rare gem)
x1 (Non-BoP Crafting material, used for Blacksmithing, Engineering and Jewelcrafting items)
x1 (Uncommon herb)
These gems can be cut into 3 epic primary stat gems.
Note the "Unique-Equipped: Saber's Eye (1)" tag. Only one of these epic gems can be equipped in all of your gear at a time.
Below is the summary of all the gem cuts Legion brings - Uncommon, Rare and Epic.
+150 Critical Strike
+250 Critical Strike
In Legion, ALL crafted amulets and rings will have a prismatic gem socket. Below is a list of this Jewelcrafting gear coming at Legion launch:
iLevel 715 Rings
iLevel 815 Amulets
iLevel 765-785 Amulets
iLevel 815 Rings
Obliterated one, only yielded 56 dust, would not recommend.
Pattern requires 800 Jewelcrafting to purchase
Apparently can be obtained from the gem cutting world quests, as I just got one today.
The reward was stated as a Blue Gem and my skill was only 759.
Wan't a 'faster' way to get these?

LEGION TIMEWALKING VENDOR
How? She sells
Legion Reagen Bags
for pretty much all Legion professions. The Gem Bag,
, for 25
EACH can drop even the gems needed to craft this, that can't be hard farmed.
You just need some alts available to do at least the first TW Dungeon, for the 500-badge quest and amass huge amounts of gems (or any other mats, if you feel the need) and send all to proper characters.
Just keep an eye on the calendar for next events and schedule beforehand (even doing those before the one you need, to get more TW Badges).
PS: TW events bring opportunity that most people don't look closely, these reagent bags are some of them (The Meat bag, for example, also drop 5x
, each) and the Fish bag also can drop Fisherfriends' reputation items like
. Each TW event, from now on, you should at least pay a visit to their vendor and see what they're selling, not only mounts/pets/toys matter, even the reputation tokens might see some use (on that character you're trying to farm a rep to, buy a recipe for example).
