This takes up an "Equipment Slot" on your ship. Similar to Traits or Abilities for followers. This isnt a bonus on top of a ship's current Equipment slots - it replaces one. Choose carefully.

This is an upgrade item for your ship, and it does take up an equipment slot. It costs 500 garrison resources, and is available from Salty Jorren (Alliance) or Kronk Rustspark (Horde). After a succesful mission it awarded 18 Blackwater Whiptail. Not worth the resources or the slot unless you really hate fishing and need food badly.

Update: The fish caught with this now count toward the achievements needed to upgrade your fishing shack to level 3! Anyone know whether the fish caught with this count toward the total number of enormous fish you have to catch in order to upgrade your fishing shack to level 3? It's the only way I can see it being worthwhile.

amazing that this costs a slot on your ship. I'd love to have fish for free from each mission but taking a slot on your boat is just stupid!

Sure enough. I got some fish as bonus loot from a mission that included a ship with 海象人渔网.

This blueprint is sold by 守备官科索斯 / 暗影猎手德恩加. The buyer must be honored by 先知之手 / 沃金之锋.

Additional equipment: There are 7 塔纳安丛林 bosses who are guaranteed to drop specific Equipment Blueprints needed for the achievement 海军器械专家.

Protip 1: I use Macro Toolkit to avoid having to split macros into smaller parts. There are other addons that also allow this.

Protip 2: Want an easy way to reset your Tomtom arrow to the nearest boss on the list? Just type
/cway and voila! *

Note: An 8th boss, 钢铁掠夺者, (second boss in 地狱火堡垒) drops 装备图纸：陀螺稳定仪 which counters 漩涡乱流. The blueprint drops on all levels of raid difficulty.

Note 2: What about the rest of them? Only 3 other blueprints are available in 6.2.0. They come from various sources. 装备图纸：高能炉 (高能炉 for 紧急任务), is a quest item. 装备图纸：防沉护盾 (防沉护盾) and 装备图纸：海象人渔网 (海象人渔网) are vendor rep items.

The blueprints for 储备弹药, 自动航空雷达, 声呐增幅器, Q-43噪音水雷, & 额外舱房 are not obtainable and are no longer required for the achievement.

However, each of these 5 pieces of equipment has a chance to be provided automatically when upgrading or building new ships.

I used this on one of my transport slots and I send it only on oil rig missions. so the extra slot doesn't matter. Vola free fish.

i recomend using this upgrade on the two ships that is farming 油井：提取地点
with 血精灵船员 and 海象人渔网 you will have a 4,5h long 100% sucsesrate mision that gives you fish and 400 oil

Result of my "fishing trips", Tuskarr Fishing Net placed on a transport ship (i'm not sure if the type of ship have any influence):

Waiting several hours for around 10 fish not worth imho.
Anyway, the transport ship reached epic quality, I got my Ironsides. Ship decommissioned. Ahoy Murloc Crew!
No more Tuskarr Fishing Net. Ever.

I don't know if this has been explained elsewhere, but as I could not find it here, and here was where I went to look first, I will pass on this bit of information.

You CANNOT duplicate equipment on a ship. I had the idea of putting two fishing nets on the transport (gnome crewed for a chance at a free equipment piece) and destroyer (night elf crewed so that 18 hours becomes 9) that are permanently running oil to my garrison. They have no need for 'equipment', so I though I might try it. It did not work. Each piece of equipment is unique, and cannot be duplicated.

As of patch 6.2.3 I can confirm that fish caught from missions using this do in fact count towards the Achievements required for Draenor Angler!

Yesterday I was going through my missions, and suddenly I got the 渔夫：巨型塘鲈 just by doing using the net. And today I was tracking the other angler chieves and yes they count towards it - not that most of us don't have it already but for those new ones that REALLY hates fishing I guess it is great.

I've seen some videos where 海象人渔网 actually caught the 海龟. Does anyone know if the 乌龟坐骑 is possible to catch aswell?
