Looted from the Darkmoon Deathmatch
on the darkmoon island. These events happen every 3 hours. 3am, 6am, 9am, 12am, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 12pm and so on. The one who loots the chest gets the new heirloom trinket.
This should be automatically given to people who has the loot 12 achievement in my opinion.
While this does say that it is looted from the Darkmoon Arena treasure chest, there is one caveat: You must have won 12 times and obtained the Master Pit Fighter trinket achievement. Once you have pulled that off, looting the chest a 13th time will have this trinket spawned inside of it as well.
This trinket appears in the arena chest

If you want to be especially nice, just grab the heirloom (don't autoloot) and leave the blue trinket for somebody who needs it! :)
Anyone else find it strange there's a sell price? Does that mean we can create a whole bunch of them and sell them? Sure it'd take a really long time to hit a million gold but still.
Note that you must use the character you earned Darkmoon Dominator on in order to loot the heirloom; while the achievement is account-wide, you cannot use a different character to loot the heirloom!
If you already have the achievement "Darkmoon Dominator" ,do you get the trinket on next chest loot or do you have to do the whole thing all over again?
The xp bonus stacks additively with
and other heirlooms.
Posting this here cause I didn't see this exact thing:
If you're farming this, you can server hop to lower pop realms and try to snatch it. The lesser known bit is, if you're lucky, you can get multiple in the same spawn window. If your realm looks like a no-go (team of 5 players camping middle) then hop to a different realm, loot trinket there, hop again and look for another chest. I've looted 4 in less than 5 minutes (this was Darkmoon, no STV but same applies in both). Drastically reduces farm time if you get lucky.
Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor. ;]
After the patch 7.0 you DONT earn extra xp while in a BG. The XP bonus becomes inactive during a BG match, i hope this is a bug and blizzard fix it soon™.
good luck trying to get it
the odds are higher you beg blizzard for an easier alternative
Can a lvl 20 loot the heirloom? I know i cannot receive the achievement since i am not 85, but does that mean i cant loot the hierloom also?
I earned the 12 (and completed the quest) several years ago, and I didn't have any of the stuff in my inventory (but they are in my bank)
makes an 2v2 arena loss give either 4.8 % or 6.2 % exp and an 2v2 arena win either 8.8 % or 10.1 % exp (I don't know when you get more or less, but looking at the exp gains in chat shows that it's a third separate proc of exp, so maybe it's rng). 3v3 arena rewards fluctuate quite heavily, losses gave me for example 6.3 % and 9.7 % exp (both with three exp procs) and wins for example 8.7 %, 12.6 %, 14.2 % (two procs), 11.1 %, 11.3 %, 14.6 % exp (three procs), using both trinkets. The first bg win of the day gives around 70 % exp using these.
It's decent, especially for WoD and Legion content where dungeons are worthless for leveling (not counting getting boosted by 101 alts ofc) and if you hate questing in old zones like me.
Some useful info I got after trying to get this heirloom using a 59 Dk twink in a low pop server:
1) you need 12 WINS and 12 trinkets. Apparently, you "win" by looting the very last item in the chest, aka making the chest disappear.
2) Getting the 12 wins achiev and the 12th trinket triggers the quest, which requires level 85...
3) Only after completing the quest, by turning the 12 trinkets in, you will get the heirloom in the next chest.
I leveled a char in bgs and am working on another in bgs with both this and
plus other heirlooms. I don't know all that math stuff, but I level very very quickly in bgs especially when we win. I tend to do a lot of bgs in a particular day and as long as I am winning, I am leveling like crazy. It's an OP way to level in BfA in my opinion.
Edit: It seems to me I get a whole level every time I win a bg.
Beware Level 20 (F2P or Veteran) Twinks.
Check out this post:
assuming you upgrade it twice (2/2 upgrade) so its usable up to level 100, does that mean at level 101 you don't get the 50% exp bonus?
Considering current event 15th anniversary and ongoing Korrak's Revenge - this is a must have for powerleveling alts. Thankfully I farmed them few years ago when hierloom tab was introduced because i wanted to have them all.
Darkmoon Faire buff + WoW 15th buff + Draught of Ten Lands + full set of looms (you can use cloth one on any character to have 1 set maxed) + Returning Champion and/or Defending Champion is insanely broken exp boost.
I boosted 14 characters basically afking/defending base towers (yeah, shame of me) during working hours or even during watching Netflix.
I believe that Korrak's Revenge may return in future Anniversaries, so prepare yourself.
For those that still farm this trinket in 8.3. I was doing this using 2 characters on full servers and every time it was a hit or miss.
I managed to get the trinket by doing this:
1. Create a new character on a Low population server, preferably on a RP server. I used Earthen Ring on EU.
2. You need to have at least one Allied Race unlocked since it starts at level 20.
3. Level to 30. It took me about 40 minutes in Redridge Mountains with the 8.3 buff, the 30% enlisted buff from Alliance as well as heirlooms.
Note: You will need level 30 to start the quest and get the achievement.
4. As soon as you hit 30 go to The Cape and park your character in the arena.
5. Log on to your character at the specific hours (server time): I believe that would be 9:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00, 00:00 etc.
6. Loot the chest. Each time you loot you will receive the Arena Master trinket along side other items. You need to collect 12 of these for the achievement.
Note: I sometimes logged on at 7 minutes past the spawn time and the chest was still there.
7. Once you have 12 trinkets turn them over to the NPC Short John Mithril. You will get the Arena Grand Master trinket as well as the achievement.
8. You will now have to loot the chest ONE MORE TIME with any character ( I used the same one since it was easier ) and you will find the Returning Champion trinket.
Hope this helps some people that were struggling with this as I was.
Unfortunately, come the Shadowlands pre-patch on October 13th, 2020,
both lose their 50% exp increase in battlegrounds.
I don't know the state of leveling from battleground experience in the Shadowlands, but if it's anything like it is right now, even winning a battleground with these two trinkets equipped doesn't grant enough experience for a full level in any bracket that I am aware of. It's a shame they had to completely destroy any hopes of PvP battleground leveling being at all viable, save for any massive buffs to experience earned from completing a random battleground. Currently, on the PTR, there are no such buffs to be found, leading me to assume the worst.
Has anyone been able to successfully upgrade this heirloom with Shadowlands now here and all of the level and item level squishes have happened? I am having some trouble, it doesn't seem to work like the other heirlooms with upgrading it at least. I will continue to try all of the heirloom upgrade items on it, but if anyone knows something about this, please share your secrets!
I am shocked that nobody here is talking about the actual on use effect of either this or
. TL;DR if you have 1 better trinket and have to pick between this and defending for your lvling tank, use this one. The on use heal can crit, healing for 20% of your hp. On top of that, the heal works with versat stat meaning it heals more than 10/20% where as defending will only ever give exactly 10%. I use my WoD BoA trinket and this as my 2 tank trinkets.
for damage or
Shard of moon
for defense. This trinket is bar far the best lvling tank trinket you will find. If you are tanking and lvling in fungeions, use this trinket.
