You can get a great number of stacks of these Dense Stones from Thorium Veins.
You'll get at least 1 in every Thorium Vein you pick.
For some reason these don't seem to do well on the AH on my server, and no one seems to want them on Trade Chat.
Unfortunetaly, these are nealy useless. You'll get loads of them from Mining, so getting even gold from a stack will be hard. Sell to vendor or make something out of these if you can, but don't expect 200 sharpening stones to be sold in one night. Grinding stones can be some useful, blasting powder can be used for fireworks, should sell in reasonable price.
Well they are nearly useless, you can make them into Dense Grinding Stones (which yes are Blacksmithing mats) *but* they also are used in stacks of 8 for darkmoon faire rep, and with people going after The Insane title you can use both the thorium (which also is used for Darkmoon faire rep in the form of handing 6 a go Thorium Widgets), to grab some easy cash on the ah.
- Sidenote is that these hand in's give you 20 tickets a go so if you don't want to ah it because they may not be a market, trade em in at the start of the month and pick up some fun stuff - go check out what you can buy there is a fun engineering schematic but I wont ruin the surprise :P
Not useless for Jewelcrafters. They are used to make the highest level healing statue they can make.
great for leveling engineering from 250-260
Well, these and solid stones are basically the bane of my bagspace. The hoarder in me says, "But what if you need 1200 of them tomorrow! D="
You'll basically get 25% more stone than thorium from mining "Thorium Veins"! *sigh* I'd rather have 101% thorium at this point.
Blizzard, either add a stone sink (since you like gold sinks so much) for us to get something useful out of these or change Thorium Vein's name to Dense Stone Mtn.
