If you drive your followers' item levels up high enough (645+) you'll start to occasionally see missions to receive these as an item reward.
They can contain nearly any item from Highmaul, including boss loot. The one I completed today for example contained
Be aware that all of the participating followers need to have at least 645 ilvl in order to contribute in any significant capacity. If you do not have followers equipped for that yet, just hold onto the mission -
it doesn't expire
(some people are claiming it does expire after a few days). (As opposed to trying it and failing, which will of course remove the mission.)
Additionally, the difficulty(and as such ilvl) of Highmaul Treasures box that you receive will depend on which difficulty you're currently progressing into. For now as Highmaul isn't open yet, it will be the Normal 655 items. Later on as you progress into Heroic and Mythic you'll start to receive
Opened this today and got this
You get the raid mission as soon as you get 3 followers with 645 ilvl or above, i got
warforged opening mine
Of f*king course... The only thing i have 665 and dont need? neck. What do i get? Neck...
I recieved Warforged
When you open the box do you get something for your class and current loot specialization or did any of you get something completely useless?
Thanks for your feedback! :)
I've only killed Highmaul Bosses (5/7) in heroic mode this first week (not at all in normal), but this morning the mission poped again and always rewarding a 655 box.
Maybe the reward "upgrade" is calculated after each ID reset?
Abilities needed in 4 missions：
Magic debuff ：2
Traits needed in 4 missions
I don't know how often the raid mission appear I only got one so far and it failed with a 93% chance I haven't got another so far so I'm guessing it's one per week?
Just got my 2nd follower to 645, relogged and a mission was there waiting for me.
I have successfully cleared normal and heroic 7/7 twice at this time as well as 1/7 mythic. The mission has a normal 655 box, so it's looking very muddy as far as what you need to do to upgrade the loot you get from these missions.
Two clears on the lower difficulties and a mythic kill wasn't enough yet to get a mythic box, so who knows what it will take.
Requirements for Caches:
- 2x ilvl645 Follower (confirmed)
- 2x ilvl645 Follower
- 15x Bosskills from normal mode (confirmed by 3 scources)
- 2x ilvl645 Follower
- 15x Bosskills from heroic mode (confirmed by 2 scources)
+ 1000 Gold
- 2x ilvl645 Follower
- 15x Bosskills from mythic mode
You need to meet the requirements prior to getting the mission. The cache will display in advance what kind you get (hover over the item in the mission tab to see the tooltip for normal, heroic, mythic).
Edit1: seems the info below is not complete yet, will update as I get more examples, it looked to me like those were the criteria.
Edit2: Criteria seems to be 15 Bosskills, confirmed by several scources on wowhead comments and from friends of mine
contained Warforged ilvl 661
on my Priest :)
I have over 10 followers at 655ilvl, and most 630+ and yet to see the heroic/mythic mission.
I have over 20 kills on normal, but only 13 on heroic, so still need 2 kills for the mythic box to appear. But I have yet to see the heroic one and it's been a week since I reached my 15th kill.
I did the normal mission over 2 weeks ago when I reached my followers to 645, so I'm wondering if you can only spawn 1 mission per 2-3 weeks? Either normal, heroic or mythic, depending on your luck. Maybe someone can confirm doing 2 of them within a short amount of time?
Also wondering if you need to kill all bosses, including Imperator Mar'Gok on normal to trigger the heroic mission and same on heroic to trigger the mythic mission? And of course total of 15 kills too?
Anyways reset tomorrow and gonna aim for 15th heroic kill this week and see if I can get a heroic/mythic mission over the next few days. Only missing Imperator on normal and heroic so that might be the case, or maybe it takes time to appear maybe?
Hopefully I get one soon though. :-)
Edit: Did Imperator on normal, still no heroic mission at 23 kills in total.
For beginners among us!
1) Build a Bunker building and a Salvage Yard. Collect da wep/armor enchantments, dis helps da clan!
2) Make sure you don't "ding" two of your followers to 645 ilvl before you have at least 3 followers of epic "quality".
Their abilities should be different, but it is not a must. Spam exp missions until you match his requirement.
3) Now. Before actually activating the Highmaul missions (upgrading 2 followers to 645ilvl) make sure you have enough extra wep/armor enchantments to adjust your other followers if ness.
4) "Is my loot spec. right? Woops, gotta change" Click on da box and may the force be ever in your favor! ^^
I did the Highmaul Raid mission twice and got
and a Warforged
. Both are drops from Tectus in the real Highmaul raid.
If I remember correctly, both times I received the mission with The Butcher, Ko'ragh, and Imperator Mar'gok as encounters and not the one involving Tectus, The Living Mountain, Twin Ogron, and Ko'ragh so I think the "drops" in the cache do not rigidly mirror the drops from the actual creatures in the real raid encounters.
For some reason or another.. I have VERY bad luck with these.. I've opened now 4.. looted them, and been given only
each time.... RNG is RNG
I've just done a Highmaul Raid mission and I got
Girdle of the Infected Mind
Warforged (item level 661), dropped by Brakenspore (9,44% drop chance).
drops from this although it is not presently listed on the "Contains" tab.
I gotta ask and I gotta know! Can you get weapons from these?
Are the highmaul missions limited to just four so if I do four I'll not get anymore of these particular missions?
Worth noting that you can get trinkets from the cache (subject to spec chosen when you open the cache). Trinkets from normal Highmaul are alot bettter than the ones you get from LFR Foundry, despite having the same ilvl.
I figure it's worth mentioning that the cache immediately gives you a piece of gear, unlike the bounty of spoils from the weekly raid quest.
You get the cache, you click it, you get a piece of gear. I would assume your loot spec may play some role as I got Quiescent Runestone as a Shadowpriest set to shadow loot.
So pay attention. A few gloves you can get from this are BOE, like
I just got
out of a normal cache. I thought Blizzard said these would not drop weapons or offhands. Unless they changed this recently?
From a transmog fashionista:
F#CK YOU, RINGS.
doesnt even contain weapons, wow
