well looks like this on is the get 10 or like 20 item from raids since its stackable
"An ugly, oddly-shaped gem that nonetheless thrums with residual magical energy."
Perhaps these could be one of the main materials used in forging the legendary.
See you later Abrogator!
A russian player claimed to receive one from his jewelcrafting work order but speculated only if you had the quest
I have been doing JC work orders for two months but have never received any but I do not have that quest.
Just saw that i got a new Follower Mission lvl 100 rare, requires me to defeat 3 enemys, and rewards 3 of these stones.. to bad that i dont have lvl 100 followers yet..
Any work order can drop an Abrogator stone.
Found these ways to get
- Any order in Garrison (very rare) - confirmed on order for
- Mission for followers in Garrison (
- Drop from bosses
Got one from the Garrisons Mining order. Without a follower working there.
Got one from my herbgarden without follower bonus
I can confirm i got it out of a work order from my mine.
As soon as I picked up this quest one of my mining (level 2) work orders was available... I looted it and got one of these in there. Apparently it's super rare but I'll post if I get more sooner rather than later.
i just got one from my work orders in my mine today. so its not just professions plots, its also the work orders in mines and herb garden
My Garrison Mission had 615 Itemlevel Required.
Got it two days in a row, from a mining work orders.
I got 1 drop from my lumber mill
I got 3 from a mission (Dont remember what one) And 2 from my Mining work orders.
I received one today in mailbox from The Postmaster (just one stone). I can't find any explanation for this. Note: raids are not active yet.
Collect and keep them because they are needed for
Abrogator Stone also drop from LFR bosses in Highmaul.
Anyone know if it will take approximately 125 encounters to get the stones?
Or can bosses drop more than one?
So far I've only dropped one off each boss I've done. I just think it seems like an awful lot, I know you can get them in missions but those missions aren't exactly common.
According to a GM response I got today,
drop once per boss, across all difficulties.
While you can obtain them across all difficulties, do harder difficulties yield better odds for clusters?
Got confirmation. Harder difficulties do have a significant increase to cluster percentages.
In the last part of the text of the corresponding quest (
Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings
) it says "These "Abrogator Stones" still maintain their power even today, and can be found scattered throughout the Highmaul complex. Sometimes in clusters.".
Could it be that there are click-able objects in Highmaul that no one checked out?
Or maybe it was Blizzard's initial intention to do so?
(Yes, I'm desperately hoping to find a quicker way to gather these rocks.)
Or it could, of course, just refers to the ogre bosses carrying them...
Just to compare with other players, this week I got a total of 32 stones in LFR Highmaul.
How many did you get (don't forget to specify the difficulty) ?
125 of these stones are required in order to continue the legendary ring quest line in Warlords of Draenor.
-It is possible for them to drop off of any Garrison work order.
-Occasionally, a mission that lasts about 24 hours will be accessible that rewards you with 3 stones, if successful.
-Each boss in Highmaul, on any difficulty, has a chance to reward between 1-5 stones. In my experience, the drop chance for all difficulties is the same. It's all about luck.
-Once you loot one boss on one difficulty, the boss will not drop stones again that week, no matter the difficulty.
-The last boss in Highmaul seems to (it has not been confirmed) drop more stones than the average boss.
Assuming that you have completed Highmaul for the week, 7/7 bosses and assuming that the average drop from each boss is 3, while also assuming you have had a single one drop from a work order that week (as it is extremely rare for this to happen) and 3 stones from one of the missions (as it seems only one mission will appear per week, as average)
The average person will receive 25 stones every week, completing the quest in 5 weeks.
Just FYI - you can hand in the completed
Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings
quest and still obtain stones from a Garrison mission completion afterward.
I completed my 125-stone quest earlier today via LFR Highmaul, since (on Tuesday especially) the queues are short and I had only needed 12 more to go. Hurray, 690 ring!
Then I piddled around doing my apexis daily and went back to my Garrison to find a completed mission - one of the ones which grant ... 3 Abrogator Stones. It was successfully completed, and I now have three apparently now-useless stones sitting in my bank.
Just in case. Because they're orange.
Edit: Same deal happened to me with
does the longer you leave your work orders the more stones you get from said work orders
If you have cleared LFR before picking up the quest to collect Abrogator Stones: Do not go back into LFR, you won't get any. You can run any other difficulty and be eligible for stones, but not the one you're loot locked for.
I tested this on my paladin as I picked up the quest on a tuesday evening, and wanted to test my luck on how many stones I could still get in that reset: 0. In hindsight I should've attempted getting into a normal group, but those are usually not very promising on tuesday evenings.
PSA: It appears that completing the abrogator stone quest on an alt might buff the drop rate for other alts on the quest. I completed the quest on my priest this morning and now my main is getting one extra stone per boss. I've gotten 6 (cluster + single stone) twice in a row! :D
If you kill any bosses prior to getting this quest, they will
drop after you have obtained this quest.
I found this out by doing LFR before I was on this quest(didn't have enough apexis crystals at the time to advance the questline).
My biggest question right now is: Will these drop in Blackrock Foundry, or are we resigned to continuing to run Highmaul until we get them all?
Do these not drop in Blackrock Foundry unlink in Pandaria where they would drop for catching up on the legend quest?
Can anyone confirm if
Seal of Tempered Fate
will allow you to loot another Abrogator Stone from a given Highmaul boss? I assume the answer is "no" but just wanted confirmation...
I have three sitting in my bag after finishing the quest. I didn't pay attention to how it happened, but I'm guessing I had a mission to get one, finished the quest, then the mission completed and I got them. Anyway, just adding a note that you should delete any leftovers after you're done with the quest.
In 6.1 after doing 200+ work orders still no single stone.
Was it nerfed?
I had one of these show up in an alchemy shipment.
The Abrogator Stones will have an increased drop chance for alts if you have already completed the legendary quest line on one character on your account. This was confirmed by the devs on their WarcraftDevs Twitter account on March 11th 2015.
time gate? This time it's even worse than the legendary cloak quest...
If you obtain the quest to collect these after you've killed a boss, you won't get any if you kill them again in the same week.
As of April 07 2015 the mission
shows up. It is level 100 mission, doesn't have a follower minimum ilvl, and appears to award 3
I have had these drop on profession work orders, war mill/dwarven bunker work orders, and trading post work orders. Having a follower, the ilevel, or actual level doesn't seem to matter on the drop rate.
I had some left over and had to trash them. Sad. No sell price on legendary reagents...
Got 22 of these from a full LFR run; looks like ~5 weeks work to finish this Quest, depending on work-order yield.
It seems after you've done this song and dance on one toon the "additional chance" simply means you get the reward twice. It does not mean if you get a cluster you get two clusters, it just appears to roll your reward twice, either that or you simply never get a bonus cluster. Further testing would be nice.
They drop 2 times (at the same time) per boss if you are doing the quest for these on an alt and have already completed it on your main.
Looked through the list didn't see any post to confirms
Does anyone know if they show up with rush deliveries?
Edit: Just got one with Rush Deliveries.
Got the Naval Mission "One Way or Another" that offered a stone.
got 2 stones from a full run and both from the first boss, what a joke lol
To give you an idea if how this works for alts in 6.2, I completed the Auchindon requirement last night. Twenty-four hours later, I have 59 stones.
As soon as you get access to the Highmaul quests, you should get stone missions in both your shipyard (for 15 stones) and your garrison (for 1 stone). I used mission completion orders on the shipyard. This morning I had another 15 stone Shipyard quest.
I then ran LFR Highmaul. Wing 1: 3 stones and 2 clusters containing 5 stones each.
Wing 2: 6 stones (no clusters).
Wing 3: 6 stones (no cluster).
I was hoping for 64 so I could finish this up in the next two days through another Highmaul run (reset tomorrow). I poked around my garrison and found one more in my work orders.
tl;dr Highmaul + Garrison + Shipyard on an alt = 59 stones in 24 hours.
UPDATE: I began the collection of stones on Monday night, running Highmaul once. I ran it again the next day and after receiving daily shipyard missions and two follower missions (one on Tu and one on Th), I have collected the 125 stones by noon on Th.
tl;dr On an alt, you can complete this leg of legendary questline in less than 72 hours assuming you run Highmaul twice in that period.
You're here because it is 6.2.2 and you've probably been trying to gear an alt. You've reached the Abrogator Stone part, heard about the catch up method, and now you're wondering why you got a pitiful amount of stones from doing LFR Highmaul.
Well, here you go. The catch up method is
. Accessing the NPC requires you to do the Tanaan invasion quest from your garrison. He rewards 5 stone clusters (25 stones) which is doable once per week.
Also it is worth while filling every work order possible in your garrison, as your work orders can contain extra stones. Additionally abrogator stone missions appear more frequently at your shipyard and garrison follower tables.
I can confirm through testing, that you do
get Abrogator Stones the same week, if you did Highmaul before accepting
Ran the entire raid with my friend before accepting it, looted and such, returned afterwards and got not a single stone, not even from Imperator Mar'gok.
So don't do LFR before accepting the quest.
Q: How long will it take to get the Legendary Ring if I start it on an alt?
A: Can take as low as 4 weeks (3 if you're lucky with drops).
With horrible luck, it took me 9 days to get 125 Abrogator Stones and 900 Elemental Runes. (
You will need a Mage Tower and complete work orders for
Mission Completion Orders
to get this going as fast as possible.
Assuming you want to switch mains and you just hit 100 on your X class. Rogue let's say.
Step 1. Get yourself geared up for LFR
( Completing this step first, makes the other steps much easier)
Go into Ashran, Follow the main group around, do events, kill rares, get your pickpocket book, and start pick-pocketing players. You will get 5 Artifact Fragments per player if you pickpocket on your faction's territory, and 10 if you do it on theirs. (Crossroads and up)
You will get 3 honor per Artifact fragment. So if you pickpocket 10 players on their territory, you'll have 300 honor. That's ALOT since it only takes about 1 minute to do that.
Buy yourself some 700 ilvl honor gear. I advise you to buy Season 2 epics instead of the Season 3 blues, as for some reason, the trinket has more agility. Plus purple looks better.
*Note: This step takes about 3-4 hours with a bad group. Just leave and re-join ashran until you get a good group
** You can also do this during BG bonus week. It will take about 2 hours with the 200% honor buff. Any other time though, it's not worth it.
Step 2. Get some followers.
Build the Inn/Tavern ( level 2 ) in your garrison and recruit one from there. I recommend Epic mount or Fast Learner as their traits.
After you built the inn, go to the second floor and look for Millhouse Manastorm. He will give you a quest to have him as your follower. If he is not there, just go in the main building and open up your building table. Swap the Inn/Tavern around until he spawns.
Do UBRS for Leeroy(epic) and complete your Millhouse(epic) quest
Do Slag mines for Croman (epic)
Brawler's Guild level 5 awards Meatball. (epic)
If you see a group doing BRF normal, join them and do the achievement on Flamebender(requires you not to kill the NPC she's with. have a tank move it to the side and burn the boss). If you succeed, you'll get him as a follower. (epic)
Get a few open world followers: I recommend getting at least:
-Abu'gar from nagrand
- Leorajh from Spires of Arak
- Aeda Brightdawn (or the alliance equivalent from Talador)
Open up Tanaan jungle and Complete the quest : Rumble in the Jungle, as well as any other dailies you find there. When you're done, kill Saberstalker Rares untill you get revered. ( Jump servers. You can solo them with Leeching poison). At revered you can buy a follower for 100 fangs. I got Pallas as a level 100 Rare follower.
You can get a follower from each zone by completing the quest line that starts your outpost in that area. I recommend Nagrand, as it only takes about 5 -10 minutes.
From this point you can either go with what you have, or spend gold to buy other followers. Although they can be quite expensive.
Step 3. Build a shipyard.
If you got Saberstalker rep, then you have a shipyard already. Make sure you build all 6 boats.
Tip: Use the
Rush Order: Shipyard
you received from the quest earlier to build them instantly, and send them on EXP missions.
The shipyard, will provide you with missions awarding 10-25
. These take 1-4 hours to complete.
Send your followers on missions and level them up.
You will get missions for
every hour or so if you completed the one existing already. This is where you'll want to use your
Mission Completion Orders
, as these missions can take up to 26 hours to complete.
Step 5: Tanaan!
Once you've opened your Tanaan base, there will be a weekly quest awarding 25
. ( you can complete both in the same week). The quests require you to turn in 15000 Apexis crystals for
, and 20000 for
. Fastest way to get that is by doing Bonus Objectives and the dailies there.
Step 6: Profession work orders!
Open up the mine and garden in your garrison. Additionally, you can build 3 profession "huts" and a Lumber mill, all of which have a chance to award legendary quest items.
If you've done all of this you should get:
from Highmaul LFR
25 from Tanaan
Aprox 3 per 2-3 hours from normal missions
Aprox 20 per 3 hours from naval missions.
Plus whatever you get from profession work orders.
You should finish Abrogator Stones in max 3 days.
I got all 125 stones in 8 days. Only ran Highmaul LFR twice. The rest came from combat and naval missions. Didn't spend any Apexis. Hopefully the next chapter goes just as quickly :)
Although completing the Abrogator Stone part of the legendary quest line I still got a mission for it offered on my shipyard. Only after completing this (and now having 10 Abrogator Stones in my inventory which seem to be useless) I got a new mission offered for Elemental Runes.
For the benefit of those wanting to complete the legendary quest chain late in the expansion (like now), this phase can be done pretty quickly with the Tan'aan quest hub Apexis crystal -> stone cluster quests (
), if you have enough Apexis crystals (14958 per week, which is of course 3 x 4986).
I went from 0 to 125 abrogator stones in 3 days, 6 hours: started around 6:30 PM Sunday evening at 0 stones, went to Vol'mar, cashed in the Apexis for 5 clusters = 25 stones. Ran all three wings of Highmaul that evening, and lucked out in getting both 3 tones and a cluster from one boss. By the end of Sunday evening, had 48 stones. Monday, I got a naval mission that returned 5 stones and a garrison mission that returned 3; Tuesday, ran the Highmaul wings again and was of course able to go to the Apexis -> stones well again because of the weekly reset; score 120/125. Wednesday evening, logged on and found I had a four-hour naval mission for stones, which completed just after midnight (~ 12:15 AM Thursday). Done.
If you don't get a cluster drop from a Highmaul boss, it might take one more naval mission or two garrison missions to finish, but it should still be possible in well under a week.
Well for the very new players or the ones that are coming back because (of?) the movie, just like me. You need to build your garrison and shipyard ASAP, I got 4 missions from the boats and 2 from the followers. With that plus the weekly mission, LFR bosses and 7-8 stones I got from the orders in my Garrison I could get all the 125 stones in one week. I hope this will be helpful for you. BTW. If you are coming back to the game, to built your self is extremely easy!
